We embarked on three extraordinary riverboat day cruises, rode the rails on a train to Fairbanks, tried our hand at gold panning (actually found real gold), explored numerous museums, and soared through the glaciers in a Piper Navajo twin-engine plane (with the highlight of sitting in the co-pilot seat)! We also enjoyed a thrilling helicopter ride that landed us on the majestic glaciers in Valdez, where we got to walk on ancient ice. We had the privilege of dining at the historic home of the legendary Susan Butcher, a four-time Iditarod race champion, and even got to snuggle with her adorable pups-in-training. We marveled at the impressive Alaska pipeline up close and photographed an array of magnificent wild animals in their natural habitat. This once-in-a-lifetime adventure was truly a dream come true for Bill and me! We leave in 37 days and our flights are still not booked correctly. I am suppose to be flying from DFW, my sister and brother in law from Destin FL. She has us out of Orlando which is not where are supposed to fly from. I don't think she knows how to fix it, and NCL can't help because we went through an "agent" (which is far from what she really is) She doesn't have the correct FL mandated licenses to sell travel, so we have filed with the FL Dept. of Agriculture so they can go after her for that part. We are told to be patient, but, we have been dealing with the issues for a month now. It has taken away from the excitement of the upcoming trip. There are lots of good travel agents that deserve your business. Run, don't walk, away from this one. I would give her negative stars if that is an option.
