During my stay there I was pressured to cook and clean for 14 people- beyond the standards of food prep and regular chores. The food was rotten and expired most days. There was barely hot water for 3 dayd to shower and clean with. Because of the unsanitary practices I was treated in the ER with a bacterial abscess on my foot, bacterial cellulitis, & Hypokalemia from vommitting & diarrhea caused by stress and illness. I had to call 911 emergency services on the overnight Staff when I was experiencing untreated physical and mental health problems. Once first responders came- the 2 overnight staff and assistant director Cassidy Pacheco had LIED and said that I was "suicidal". This false statement caused me to be in an unwanted 5150 hold. I went into Halcyon voluntarily and left the facility involuntarily once I spoke up about the mistreatment and pointed out the Program Director/Facility Owner Priscilla Grossman's expired license posted outside the Psychiatrists office. The psychiatrist from "Rady's Children's Hospital" refused to give me the medication I came in with- instead giving me only Benadryl for PTSD panic attacks for 3 days. After I was discharged and went to pick up my belongings. Half the medication that was expected to be returned was not. I was told that by Director of Nursing Carmen, that once I took Benadryl that gave the facility a right to "discard" my medication. I have spoken to numerous people who's previous claims of abuse and malpractice weren't believed at the time. This facility is a dual diagnosis facility and unfortunately Kaiser sent me to the wrong facility because I don't have drug/Alcohol abuse issues, but being there for over a week and witnessing/experiencing the failure of the mental health pandemic was eye opening. I have insurance and was treated terribly here. Most clients here are homeless and don't have insurance. Most of these clients never speak up because they won't be believed or it's "better than being on the streets". Is it, if you are at risk of serious infections and worsening mental health? No, it's not! Halcyon Center DO better. Community Research Foundation (CRF) whom is the non profit organization overseeing this hellhole DO better. I hope this facility is either shut down or does a serious self construction with a non corrupt director/assist director, more competent nurses and clinicians who are ACTUALLY available, an OMBUDSMAN or Client to Provider middleman, fair distribution of donated food (not staff stealing all good food and giving clients moldy bread and bad meat to cook), and to meet all legal and regulated standards with just a little ounce of morality and human decency to those less fortunate or trusting you with their/their loved ones health!

I've…read morebeen dealing with anxiety for the longest time, childhood trauma and other things that I've experience in my life. Throughout the the years I tried counseling from several practitioners but never really felt a connection with anyone out there. I tried to deal with my anxiety on my own but at times it was overwhelming and it would only make things worse. My anxiety started to affect the people that I love the most. I didn't known what to do or who to reach out. Finally one day I started to look for help and came across Christina on this very cite. I started to read some of the reviews and I felt like I was reading my own story. I knew I had to call, so one day I did. They day I called I was very anxious, I was talking very fast to Christina and I was pacing in my front yard. Christina, with her soothing voice, asked me to find a place to sit and to start breathing slowly. I sat in the back of my tacoma and started to follow her instructions. I felt like gravity took over my body and for once, I felt very relaxed. It was like a jedi mind trick LOL. I highly recommend Christina, I saw her several times and for me the most important aspect about our counseling sessions was the fact that I felt comfortable talking to her about my personal life and all the thing in life I had gone through. Christina listened to me and gave me guidance and valuable information in just a few sessions. Thank you Christina.

I sought out Christina after a breakup and dealing with trauma from my family. My mind was small, my nervous system was a wreck and everything in life felt black or white to me. I thought I was getting help for just a moment in life but that was only the beginning... Fast forward to the here and now and my world has expanded beyond what I could have imagined. I have regulated my nervous system and I have found myself. I feel more connected with myself, others and spiritually. Christina has a way of feeling my energy the moment I walk into her comforting environment. She grounds me to become present in the space and then we work through my experience together. I feel so held within our sessions while also given space for my body to work things out in whatever way I need. I'm not always the best at communicating verbally, but Christina meets me and understands the way I express myself. She truly has a beautiful, organic and magical way of carrying out her practice. Nothing about the way she works is the stiff and one-sided therapy I have had before. In fact, she cares in and out of sessions. She makes me feel thought of with her messages here and there and her constant thoughtful energy. I truly think the day I stumbled on a review about her was meant to be. I continue to see her to this day, because I am having a beautiful awakening and relationship to LIFE. Who knew this hurt girl who didn't trust men would come to a place of finding herself? I am in awe.

I had so many indescribable symptoms and was no longer living life, spending months in bed, not recovering. Through oxygen therapy, one day I had a moment of clarity that neurofeedback was what I needed next. I searched area clinics and though it was a long drive for me, I chose this clinic based upon the heartfelt reviews. From the moment I walked in I knew I was where I neededto be. I cannot say enough on how transformational it has been for me, I would not be functional enough to move into the next phases of recovery without it. Deanne and Bennett are so caring and knew the treatments I needed and worked with me, how my system tolerated, as it was a series of symptoms I was working through. They were both very knowledgeable and I was in the absolute best hands. There are so many ways neurofeedback can help people, I truly believe this saved my life. I had struggled with anxiety for over half my life, to the point where even leaving my house felt overwhelming. As my anxiety worsened, my world kept getting smaller, I wasn't living much of a life. Starting this journey was scary, but Deanne made me feel completely heard during my consultation, and I knew I was in the right place to heal. I've now completed 17 sessions, and I'm honestly amazed at how much my life has changed. I'm facing triggers head-on with little to no difficulty, and I finally feel like I'm living again. If you're on the fence, go--show up scared, show up unsure. I only wish I had found this sooner. Thank you, especially to Bennett, for helping me through my hardest moments and celebrating my progress every step of the way.

She has an incredible ability to help you figure out where certain feelings, emotions, and patterns are coming from and gently get to things that may be buried much deeper than you realize. She has helped me work through past traumas and issues that I didn't even know I was still carrying. I've learned so much about myself through the process and have been able to work through things that were affecting me without me even realizing it. She is warm, compassionate, intuitive, and truly amazing at what she does. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who is considering hypnotherapy or simply wants to better understand themselves and work through things that may be holding them back.

Nikki, once again, you are attempting to justify your refusal to issue a full refund, and in doing…read moreso, you have provided information that is inconsistent with the documented facts. First, I did not attend three sessions. I attended TWO. I have included our entire text message exchange, not just selected screenshots, to provide a complete and transparent record supporting my account. Your statement that I attended three sessions is inaccurate. Your continued reliance on incorrect information to justify withholding a portion of my payment is concerning and reinforces my impression that financial considerations have taken priority over client trust and satisfaction. Second, your claim that you were unaware I was still under hypnosis when you attempted to sell me an approximately $2,500 package for my daughter and me directly contradicts what I experienced. You completed your sales pitch while I was still under hypnosis and THEN counted me back out of hypnosis from 1 to 10. I distinctly remember this sequence of events. If you genuinely did not realize I was still under hypnosis, why did you count me back out AFTER completing your sales pitch? How could you have been unaware of my hypnotic state when you were the person responsible for bringing me out of it? Your explanation simply does not add up. In your own response, you acknowledge that I was not fully alert, referring to it as a "hypnotic hangover." As the professional conducting the session, ensuring your client is fully alert before discussing significant financial commitments should be a fundamental responsibility. Third, you reference my positive experience with you ten years ago. That is precisely why I returned, and what makes this experience so disappointing. I specifically sought you out because you had earned my trust a decade earlier. I remembered feeling comfortable and supported in your care. Unfortunately, ten years is a long time, and people change. The professional I remembered was not someone I associated with repeatedly promoting books and expensive treatment packages. During these recent appointments, I was encouraged to purchase your $20 book and subsequently presented with an approximately $2,500 package. I left feeling more like a sales opportunity than a client seeking help. Hypnotherapy requires an extraordinary level of trust. Clients place themselves in a vulnerable position, relying on the practitioner's judgment, integrity, and professional boundaries. That trust should never become secondary to making a sale. There is nothing wrong with running a business or charging for services. My concern is the timing and circumstances surrounding your sales pitch, particularly when I had not yet been counted back out of hypnosis. Your reference to my satisfaction after the first session does not invalidate what happened during the second. Both experiences can be true. Regarding the refund, I discontinued treatment because I no longer trusted you to provide my care. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, you have defended withholding my money by referencing a third session that I maintain never occurred. Your closing remark, "I hope you get the help you need," also comes across as dismissive and unprofessional toward someone who sought your help in good faith. This was never simply about money. It was about ethics, informed consent, professional boundaries, and accountability. I returned after ten years because I remembered someone I trusted. I will never return again because that trust no longer exists. I stand by my review, and I encourage prospective clients to review the documentation and draw their own conclusions. Ultimately, your response has only reinforced the concerns that prompted my review in the first place.
