although I appreciate Dr. Ragazzo being helpful in regards to diagnosing diminished ovarian reserve, when no other doctor sent for the testing, I do not appreciate her candor about the situation. Her unnecessary remarks were unprofessional. More times I could count she would say "this is so rare " and comments in that ballpark. I know my situation is unfortunate and dire, but her remarks were not uplifting or helpful. It made me feel bad... really really bad.
I also raised awareness about various symptoms I have, including severely debilitating insomnia, hot flashes, hair loss, cardiovascular issues, mood issues, headaches -- all falling within the range of DOR symptoms. my purpose of mentioning these ailments was to receive insight on relief, none of which was provided to me or referral to an individual who could assist me. She made a big splash in the water about how my diagnosis is a big concern for my future health. Instead, I felt like she left me hanging by not offering assistance/finding relief for my problems or sending me to the appropriate individual who could help me... there should have been an * appeal *made for me to see a reproductive endocrinologist since the ailments I am suffering from are REQUIRE care and assistance ? she said I was denied access to the reproductive endocrinologist (yes my insurance does not cover this and I understand ) because of my insurance and they don't handle fertility (who said receiving treatment, was all about fertility when I am suffering from symptoms from DOR?) this is a serious condition and I'm not sure why she didn't appeal this matter or try to help me as much as I felt that she could or would. There is a 72 hour urgent appeal that could be made in regards to certain urgent matters at Kaiser Permanente. I am aware of this and I was unsure why she didn't apply this to my situation. There is zero protocol about this, I would think that she would be an advocate for her patients, since her demeanor about my "rare" situation and remarks initially made me feel as if she was compassionate, but instead her saying that and not acting upon anything has left me suffering, feeling completely alone in this situation and in a sense, like a spectacle...
I should have received an. MRI when diagnosed with DOR, especially since I have PID and nobody has been monitoring it over the years. I raised attention to a decidual cast that I passed in September 2025, and after that my cycle became normal again. She did not try to make any appeal for me to receive an MRI or any type of scan to see if anything else was going on in regards to my irregular cycles or why I am not ovulating. I am 100% not understanding about this. Why was I not sent for any of these : hysterosalpingography, laparoscopy or sonosalpingography?? I did not deserve her overlooking any of this and not caring as much as I do. as a patient to feel dismissed by a doctor in regards to serious matters, I brought up and awaited multiple days for an appointment, it felt like a waste of time and honestly, with my condition, time is slipping through my hands. zero urgency from her And instead, unprofessionally, met with snickering and communicating with me as if I don't know what I'm talking about, or as if I should not have any of the major concerns that I do about the things that I brought up. Blockages, fibroids, etc. are serious conditions and need to be evaluated. Not only that, but when she brought up and declined the scans, she said it was a lot of work for the both of us. given the critical time I have with fertility and the immense suffering that I have been going through with physical symptoms, I could not believe she said that to me.
for certain things, she might be helpful, but in my situation, she only was helpful to diagnose me with DOR and would not be bothered to assist me with my other ailments. I could feel the tone in her voice that she simply didn't care and I don't wish this for anybody else. She is extremely unprofessional, and my heart is broken that I had to deal with this. read more
