If I could put less than one, I would. My son went for trying to better himself and curiosity and ended up put in the hospital. He was diagnosed by an AI DuPont doctor as a kid, over 15 years ago. It is a mild form previously called asbergers. He has difficulty in expressing him self socially. Hence the wanting to improve himself. Some apparently some uneducated, uptight nurse said he was threat when speaking of a movie and the therapist took her word, as well as missed the autism. Like my son said, you are supposed to be able to be open and get help, not have your life turned upside down and made worse. As a Mother and a registered nurse myself, be cautious about the therapist you see and what you say because they have issues themselves and will twist your thoughts, words and play with your mind and life. read more

I have read some of the reviews on this therapist's work and I was very cautious at first, but my experience was completely different than the others listed here. Since March 2023, she has reworked her practice and reduced the staff to be more client focused. I for one have had a great experience with her. She is informed, intelligent, emphatic, and honest - everything you would want a trauma therapist to be. She has helped me work thru deep seated issues and gain a greater understanding of myself. She is no Wonder Woman, she can only bring you so far - you need to do the work on yourself, and if you are prepared to do that work, she will walk with you and help be prepared. She uses the latest technology and can draw on the latest research and techniques. Admittedly, she maintains her professional distance at times, which I can imagine some might fine off putting, but she has been there for me and I am forever grateful. read more

WARNING!! If you're in need of therapy or mental health help, AVOID THIS WOMAN!!!! I wish I could give this woman 0 stars. Usually I don't do reviews, but i want to warn people to avoid this woman like the plague. I started seeing her in September 2018, found her on google after my therapist of two years because he retired his practice, and only had three visits with her before deciding to stop services. The first time we had a therapy session, there was an issue with the microphone and lagging. She made me feel like an inconvenience, but that may have been assumed since I have social anxiety and feel enough of a burden to others. I had two other sessions and realized she wasn't a good fit. I didn't have a problem with her until I cancelled my appointment 24 hours in advance. The next day I woke up to my account overdrafted with a $60 charge for "late cancellation" because in the FINE PRINT you WILL be charged for cancelling 48 hours in advance when normally it is 24 hours. That $60 could have paid for two therapy sessions. As a nurse who's job advocates for the well being of others, this woman does not advocate for mental health or the improvement of her client. Not only as a therapist who I would discuss my financial struggles with, she could have had the courtesy to let me know when I asked to cancel that there would be a SIXTY DOLLAR cancellation fee. FLASH FORWARD TO SIX MONTHS LATER!!!: Like I said before I cancelled all services with her and she knows the client relationship was TERMINATED. I checked my financial standings (which has improved since i left her!!!) and I had a charge from JKPOTTS THERAPY for $50 when I haven't had any reminders for any possible appointments. I've tried to call the number listed on google and number on her website and she has not returned my calls. Luckily that same day I went to my bank to dispute it (had to also cancel my card), but if you're going to charge me $50 after not seeing you since October AT LEAST CALL ME BACK AND TELL ME WHY I HAVE A CHARGE! Extremely unprofessional and only cares about a paycheck. I've been in therapy most of my life for my parents divorce, PTSD, child abuse growing up, domestic violence, bullying, schooling, etc. My previous therapist stopped his practice, so I stumbled upon hers on google. Please don't waste your money! She will obviously try to pull in as much business and money she can from vulnerable people. read more

I have truly enjoyed seeing Jennifer Potts as my therapist. She has helped me overcome a ton of PTSD emotions as well as work through many other struggles. Her online system for appointments is convenient and easy to use. I would suggest her to friends! read more
