Here is…read moremy experience: My daughter, who is eight years old, and I had a 12:30 appointment and arrived at noon. We waited approximately 20 minutes to get our photos and x-rays. It's a really nice, clean place. My daughter and I then proceeded to a different room and waited for about 45 minutes. One of the assistants came in and mentioned they had discussed with the orthodontist and wanted to review some things. This is the first orthodontist I've ever been to that doesn't come and shake your hand or introduce themselves. Then, they proceeded to say that my daughter needs braces for a year, take them off for a year, and then put them back on for a year and a half - each time costing close to $3500. I'm from California, so it may be a bit different, but I got two years of orthodontics for $3200. This seems vastly overpriced, especially when the price can go up to seven grand for more severe cases. As I mentioned, there was no introduction, and I can't commit to an orthodontist who doesn't allocate time for questions and discussion. It seems like they may have overpaid for the franchising and are charging excessively, in my opinion. The most disappointing part was when they presented the total cost, stating they would now only offer a $500 discount, despite my initial inquiry about the $1000 discount advertised. They simply decided to change the terms without explanation.
