A very rude lady who does not know shit told me there was no option if I had a vehicle in a repair shop, that I had to keep my registration going, when in fact, there is a form called Statement of Non Use. What an idiot!! This is basic information that ANYONE working at the OMV should be trained on and know!! And did I get ANY registration renewal notices for either of my vehicles?? NO I DID NOT! This is the most backwards organization I have ever dealt with!! They need a total revamp, hire better and more people and actually answer the damn phone!! I have been trying to find out how much my past registration is for two hours and cannot get through the stupid system online or talk to anyone!! The only good experience I have had is when I made an appt in the Minden location. You should NOT have to make an appt at a local office to get things completed with regard to your vehicles!! To Keith E. Neal, Commissioner: if you read any of these reviews, I hope you are doing something to make this organization better. The residents of Louisiana deserve a competent organization that has integrity, dependability and competent people to handle our requests!!

They are misleading and their staff is untrained they charge you twice for red flags…read more Piss poor service

So I won't profess to be a historian and give deets on the bridge or its namesake; but what I will…read moredo is speak on is loving bridges and my experience on this bridge. Currently undergoing a facelift, the Huey P, as it's affectionately called, is a major thoroughfare to connect the WESTBANK to ELMWOOD; WEST to EAST!!! The bridge is appx 153 feet in height; it has commuter lanes and active train rails as well. The sight of the bridge can be daunting and a bit intimidating but it's quick for commuting and moving around. With the new renovation, it's shaping up to be more welcoming and less intimidating. This is great, I personally know a few folks who REFUSED to cross this bridge in the past because of its appearance. I've been told at some point as the trains cross the rails, they're expected/required to turn off their engines and just coast across. Something about safety, ehhhhhhh idk. I love bridges and this one gets some of my loving too.

I'm probably one of the few who miss the original bridge this may be due to the fact that I never…read morehad to cross this bridge out of necessity, it was always a option I chose freely. The new modern renovations has completely removed the fear factor for many, it also removed the thrill for those of us who were hopeful that our approach to this bridge was in sync with a freight train loaded with thousands of ton of cargo slowly inching its way across this high-rise trestle bridge shaking and flexing the structure as well as our inner fears, the murky waters flowing far below this bridge further enhanced this nightmarish but exhilarating experience. This bridge is unique in a number of of ways, the spans carrying vehicular traffic is a little over 1.52 miles long but the gradually sloping train trestle extends more than 4.35 miles. I'm sure this bridge had the engineers scratching their heads back in 1935 while only using slide rulers and number two pencils to calculate the load ratings especially for the longest span at nearly 800 feet not to mention the fearless engineer who maneuvered the first freight train across this iconic structure. In 2006, shortly after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, the State of Louisiana embarked on an unprecedented project to widen this 75-year-old civil engineering marvel. The $1.2 billion project celebrated its grand opening in June 2013 with new lanes in each direction and major railroad modifications. The project was a symbol of resilience of this great state's people. It's not the same and that's somewhat saddens me but the refurbishment and upgrades will ensure this engineering landmark will remain for many more generations to come, but they'll never experience this bridge as some of us have...

They did not have the automated system on and a limited amount of desks open. They took anyone with appointments first. Than they took inspection. The walk-in group was the third. They sat us down in the rows according to what we were doing and if we had appointments or not. It was about an hour until I was called. Finally was told window 22. After all of that from then on it went lickity split. I was rapidly verified and sent to cashier and photo. It was literally minutes. Just when I was wondering if I should go to the Express office at Cleary. Thank goodness it went quickly after all of that. It was absolutely a slow start but gratefully they pulled through for me. But it was still frustrating in the beginning. I am giving 4 stars only because I give the benefit of the doubt after COVID and the end from the time I was called to the time I paid and left was so rapid and smooth. Don't forget to pack a lot of patience when coming to this office!!!! It's a full office where they do EVERYTHING. If you are on limited time and just need something simple go to the Express Office- though they're CASH only- just for a renewal you should be out quickly because they only do the simple operations. Or--- you can book an appointment online at: wwwexpresslane.org If you just show up--- you may not have as favourable an experience as you might need and want to have. And the earlier you can be the better your results will be. Closing is 4 pm and eventually they will cut the queue because at the end of the day employees just want to get home like everyone else. Everyone will be seen up to the last person where they cut the queue--- but don't risk it and get there late. Most likely you won't get to be seen. Get there before NOON Or make an appointment Those are your only two options Unless you're doing something the Express Office can help you with. Still the earliest the best!!!!!

You mean to tell me that there is no way possible they can put a kiosk of some sort where you can insert your license , pay your bill to reinstate your license and be on your way. There has to be a better way. I had a 1:30pm appointment. I came at 12:30pm, I was told that you couldn't check in until 30 min before your scheduled time. I sat in the waiting area for 30 min, walked back to the window while she was on the phone talking, then she put me in queue. Mind you, I scheduled this appointment to save time so I could make it to work. You do better off just walking in, and hoping to be seen , I didn't leave until after closing time, aka 4pm. Made no sense to schedule an appointment, they should make more options to pay online to save time. Waste of time!
