I was confused because we immediately brought it home, watered it and have been giving it fresh water and doing our best to prune the dead branches off of it. Regardless, it's a fire hazard now. It seemed very healthy when we picked it out so I'm wondering if maybe it was diseased or something. I still give this lot 3 stars because the people working were all so incredibly friendly and helpful and I know they are non-profit so I didn't want to bother going back and making a stink about it. Hopefully it was just us who experienced this.

Each year the Museum has a Night Firing Demonstration on or near that year's Veterans Day. The…read moredemonstration is outdoors and has a small admission fee for attendees. The Demo starts around 4:30 PM and bleachers are available for the audience. A tour of the Museum building and displays can also be had before or after the Night Demo. Normally on day visits the Museum has no admission fee, but donations are welcomed. Since this was my first visit to the Museum, (I have been meaning to go for a couple of years) I will concentrate on the Night Firing Demonstration. The demonstration was sort of a history of firearms and artillery of the US and foreign militaries from pre-Revolution thru the current day. Appropriately uniformed volunteers portrayed soldiers of that period, from Revolutionary War, Civil War, Indian Wars, WWI, WW II, Korean, and the current days. More modern fully automated weapons were manned by troops of the ID National Guard. Small arms such as flintlocks, muzzle loader rifles, Single shot breach loaders like the Sharps, 1903 and 1903A Springfield bolt actions, M-1 Garands and M-1 Carbines for WW II, German and Russian small arms, and current weapons such as the M-2 .50 caliber Machine Gun, M249 SAW and the M240 Light Machine Gun were all fired for demonstrations and effect. Some problems were suffered with the blanks being used. Often blanks do not provide the power, and timing necessary to cycle and load rounds, causing failures to load and sustain rapid fire. Special adaptors are often necessary to make small-arms blanks work correctly. But the efforts were valiant and the points of how those weapons worked was made. To show that blanks can work properly the ID NG personnel who brought their M-2, M249, and M-240 fully auto weapons (all current arms used by US armed forces) were able to get their weapons to run on full-auto as they were using "Uncle Sam's" standard blanks made for war games and exercises. It was obvious too that the crews manning those weapons were well-trained in using those machine guns. In the heavy class, firings of a muzzle loading artillery piece as used in the Civil War period, a German 75 mm howitzer and two US 75 mm Pack Howitzers were demonstrated. It would have been nice if the M-1 Abrams tank in the yard had a few 120 mm blanks to fire. However, that might have woke up all of southern Boise. All in all, it was a great Demo in some of the nicest November night weather that many could remember for this event. More people should take advantage of this museum and this event.

My best friend and I went in for her to get her nose pierced, which Maddie did an AMAZING job with. The only reason this review gets any stars at all is because of Maddie's piercing work. However, after my best friend got her nose pierced, I wanted to buy a new earring for my tragus, which I have had pierced for 6 years. I have a fairly high pain tolerance, having had 13 piercings and 4 tattoos in my lifetime. Maddie took my old earring out and proceeded to insert the new earring. She needed to manipulate my tragus using needle nose pliers to get the ball on the backside to secure it. She warned me there would be some discomfort. When she continued, it felt as if the piercing was being ripped from my head. It was more painful than getting the piercing in the first place. She called "dad" over, who I assume was Craig. He grabbed a second pair of (what looked to be) pliers, and aggressively took to my ear. He threw the pliers down and said, "I don't have time for this. Does it hurt?? If it's a new piercing it hurts." I informed him that it was not a new piercing, it was about 6 years old. He stormed off. This was the least professional and most painful experience I've had with a piercing and/or tattoo. Maddie was amazing, her "dad" was unprofessional and rude. I left without the piecing being finished, came home, and had my friend finish putting the ball on - no pliers or ripping of my cartilage necessary. Long story short, I'm sure initial piercings or tattoos are well done, but don't expect processional treatment or customer service.
