One of the major problems is that the pony wall had come away from the exterior wall. We also had mold in the shower under the caulking. Lisa's company found that the pony wall had only been attached to the exterior wall by one little screw into the plaster board. Jason not only took out some of the plasterboard and inserted a 2 x 4 to attach the pony wall to the exterior, but also got in the crawl space and attached the wall to the floor. He put it all back and it's perfect. Also, all of the mold is gone. He also worked on a couple other areas that needed finishing. Why didn't we go back to the original company? We found their finishing work was not acceptable. We didn't want them to come back and not fix it correctly and end up with the same problems. My pictures show the before and after. Another note, there was no stress put on this pony wall to cause it to move away from the exterior wall. It's attach to a walk-in tub that we had only used 4 times in those two years. Regarding the caulk, several people had told us that mold under the caulk was a sign it was not installed properly, and they had never seen that bad of a condition UNDER the caulk to occur in such a short time. We'll definitely use Boss again. They also install windows.

Friendly gave us the answers that we needed and I was very happy with the decision that I made. After going back and forth for quite some time on pricing at agreement with the insurance the work finally started 2 and 1/2 months after the fire. The gentleman that started the work was supposed to start on the inside so we could move back in sooner. He started on the front porch. To say that everything that could go wrong, or be done wrong was, is an understatement. Flashing didn't match on the corners. There were gaps everywhere it was just truly an amateurish job. When the outside was done they moved to the inside which just needed a little drywall work but the living room and hallway needed to be painted. The estimate included removing and replacing the light switch covers and light switches Outlets and the baseboards. They were also supposed to clean the walls, Prime them, and then paint. When I say that they did the worst painting job imaginable I'm not exaggerating. There were areas where the roller didn't cover on the ceiling. There was paint on the ceiling fan, paint on my hardwood floors. You could see the previous color coming through the paint, this indicated that there was no primer done, or sealant of any kind. The hall was being painted a dark color and it was splotchy you could see paint brush marks and it was just a very bad job. On all things that were wrong they did come back and fix them. But in having to come back and fix things it was making us not be able to be in our home that much longer. When the painting had to be redone I was told that they were going to send the good crew. My question is why didn't I get the good crew to begin with? Or at least somebody who knew what to do. I did have these complaints given to the project manager, and he was empathetic. He and the owner came to my house to express their embarrassment for the way that this project had gone. This is because a 4-in circle of paint came off the wall, because it was not cleaned. I was happy with that resolution, we got it all figured out they came out they repainted and everything looked fine. A week later a second spot of paint came off of the wall this one is about 6 in. I did reach out to the project manager and have gotten no type of response from him at all. I did my part I paid the bill. I feel like we're going to continue to have problems with the paint job that they did and it's just heartbreaking. If you use them make sure that you get the good crew, or your house will never be the same again.

As a responsible home owner, we also got quotes from other companies. I sent the estimator an email telling him we had chosen another company for the roof job but hasnt received his quote fir the basement. He responded that he was waiting on my decision on the roof and that Head's would pass on even quoting on the basement project. I feel this is unprofessional and vindictive. Their price on the roof was 10% higher than one of the other companies we received a quote from.
