I live out of state and used Jean's to send my mom flowers for Mother's Day. They arrived on time but the arrangement that arrive was MUCH more sparse than the photos on their site. When you can't be there in person you rely on the sites to give you accurate representations of what the arrangements will look like. I get that colors l, flowers, etc may differ from the original photo but the arrangement that my mom received was maybe half of what the photo showed. read more

I ordered a bouquet called Together at Twilight for my cousin's funeral. I wish I had my phone to take a photo of the arrangement that was delivered to the funeral home. Wow, ordered from Avas flowers who gave us a delivery time. Wasn't met, then informed by Debbie at Jeans that we were "lucky" to get an hour past delivery time. And not nicely. Maybe you should be mad at Avasflowers instead? Oh...and order was incomplete. read more

So it was getting to be my girlfriends birthday & I was looking to grab up some really good flowers for her. So I saw this local florist & decided to head inside to see what they could offer me. I walked in & immediately felt out of place.I wasn't even acknowledged at 1st, & not because it was super busy. I was actually the only customer in here so that wasn't the reason, it was basically because no one got out of their seat to greet me or say hello. After I walked around the small little house, I asked if they had any tulips for sale. Being the middle of summer I knew it was a long shot but asked anyway. I was told I was a little late for buying tulips & then it was like I wasn't even there again. They didn't even ask what the occasion was or suggest anything else. My experience here wasn't very great & they didn't seem to want my business so I decided to not give it to them. I probably won't go back here even though it was a nice little shop, but that's what happens when you have a bad experience at a place. read more

This is a terrible place to get flowers from. I ordered a certain arrangement and it ended up looking like a funeral arrangement. It was a mess. Then I asked for the flowers to be left under the garage, if no one answered. They didn't follow instructions. Flowers were on the front porch turned over and broken. Disappointing experience. Ordered flowers online on Tuesday for delivery Friday ... received electronic confirmation. Called on Thursday to confirm the plan for delivery and the fax machine kept answering. Never got to confirm. Called the intended recipient to confirm receipt on Friday, and they hadn't received the flowers. Called the florist on Friday and they said their printer had been broken for a few days, and would it be OK to deliver on Saturday, not Friday? "Can you deliver today, there's still time?" "No, all my drivers have gone home, would you want to cancel and try another florist?" A bit late now; too late to change florists to get my Friday delivery, no apology, no problem solving, no letting me know on Wednesday when they knew their printer was broken and they couldn't make the delivery on time. Look elsewhere for reliable flower delivery. read more

The last 2 occasions that I needed to order funeral flowers, they came from (or failed to come from) Jean's Flowers in Belmont. The first time, the flowers never arrived, the florist did not call to let me know, I just searched for them at the service and didn't find any. I called them and they said that their flower order did not come in, so they couldn't fulfill my order...(ugh...a phone call would have been nice!). The second time, I ordered thru Teleflora (and go figure...they sent my order to Jean's in Belmont). This time the flowers arrived, but looked nothing like the bouquet that I ordered! The signature flowers were roses and tulips. I get that they may not keep tulips on hand, but at least expected that they would replace them with something comparable. They did not, instead I got tiny roses and a mix of cheap fillers. I would not recommend Jean's to anyone. read more

I ordered flowers to be delivered from Jean's website (FTD). They said they could deliver them the day I ordered them. I didn't hadn't heard anything the next day so I check on the delivery (send an email to FTD). After a couple of hours, I got an email back saying the florist had tried to contact me by phone and that the flowers were to be delivered a day late. (I had no unanswered calls or messages on my phone). I found out only later that day, when I checked again, that they had a problem with the address - again because I contacted them - not because they let me know they had a problem. I was assured that they would make it up to me by delivereing a bigger, better version of what I had ordered. When the flowers arrived they were much less than advertised and not nicely arranged. I will never use this florist again! read more

Jean's did a great job getting my order to a local hotel to suprise my someone special. I called from across country and they handled everything for me without me having to be there. I was in a rush to get flowers sent to my employee and Jean's flowers was the closest florist to the restaurant. They greeted me as soon as I walked in and helped me pick out the bouquet. The delivery was really fast as well. I will definitely get flowers from them again! read more

Valentine's Day is the day to shine for a florist..apparently Jean's Flowers does not care. I received flowers that were wilted, greenery looked as if it were pulled from a bush - bugs had caused brown spots - huge brown spots & holes - roses were already black around the edges.. not fresh. The stems weren't even cut, they looked like roots! I called to complain.. because I saw my husband spent $72.59 on this bouquet that looked like it was picked up at WAL-MART!!! No joke! I called to complain, they offered a delivery for the next day of a large bouquet, I agreed for a moment, but called back for an email so I could sent pics of this embarrassment. So rude! I went to the florist because it was $72.59 and I wanted a credit.. (this was a $10.00 bouquet MAX - better flowers are at Trader Joes!) and the lady, I assume it was the owner, told ME I had an attitude because I wanted a credit, she slammed doors, stomped around, and took the awful bouquet from me and tossed them in the sink - which by the way, this business is in a house and was filthy (if my husband had seen this place, he would have walked out). She told me I would get my DAMNED credit and it would be a long time because they were so busy. By the time I called my husband when I left, she had called him - did not say who she was, didn't say who she was with and asked for his security code to his credit card. He asked why because the card was charged already.. she tells him that his wife insisted on a credit and caused a scene.. not true. I have been buying flowers for my wife from Jean's for many years. Yes, the folks are somewhat eccentric, but are very nice. This is not unusual in a small town. The arrangements have always been abundant and colorful and the flowers very fresh (except for one in about 50). My wife almost always remarks about how long the flowers stay so fresh! Whether I call or stop by, I am never dissatisfied with the service or product and I just had a very pleasant experience ordering Valentine's flowers. I will continue to use Jean's and recommend them to my friends. read more
