I reached out to them last minute, just before a holiday weekend, and they still managed to accommodate me and book an appointment, which I truly appreciated. My family discovered Happy Home Cleaning on the ThumbTack app and chose their services based on the…read morepositive reviews and moderate pricing. We hired them to clean 2 units for a total of 4 hours and provided a prioritized list of things to be done (e.g. 1. showers, 2. sinks, 3. kitchen appliances). The expectation was that the showers in both units get done first, then the sinks in both units, then the kitchen appliances in both units...) and they would proceed down the list until time ran out. The units were vacant since we had not moved in yet, so we didn't realize until later that they only cleaned one unit and stayed 5 hours without checking with us to see if we wanted to extend the time, which costs extra. While the cleaning that they did do was very good, the misunderstanding was unexpected. Communication was not unclear through text messages and the owner was professional and respectful throughout the process but AI or translating features may have been used because in-person, there was a bit of a language barrier. I wish they would have asked for clarity if they did not understand our request. We had to have them come out the next day to clean the second unit. This ended up doubling our intended time and cost. The owner later advised that if time/cost is an issue, that we could provide a list of tasks in order of importance and request they only complete what fits within the allotted timeframe, which is EXACTLY what we wrote and expressed orally for them to do...not for them to do low-importance items and work until all jobs are done. Why would we have done a walkthrough of two units if we wanted all 4 hours (which they exceeded anyways) spent on only one unit? Again, the cleaning that they did was really nice, so I would recommend them for your home, but I will caution you to make your needs very clear and even then, check in regularly to make sure they are following the plan according to the agreed upon job (e.g. go in order of the list, stop at the appropriate time, no hidden/extra fees). Also, Happy Home Cleaning did not provide their own step stool and were almost unable to do tall things like kitchen cabinets, fans, etc. This should be brought. Best wishes for a smooth ride!

I've personally met her husband, father, and kids, and they are a really nice family. A dear friend of mine, whose opinion I value greatly, recommended her house cleaner, Elizabeth. Upon meeting, I warned Elizabeth our home comes with challenges. While we have four bedrooms and four baths, it is compact with every square inch of the place utilized. Meaning no spot goes untouched by our fully occupied four person, four pet household. Not to mention our home is four stories with 57 stairs! I'm happy to say that Elizabeth has been equal to the task and has managed all concerns easily. She arrives promptly and works diligently until all areas are sparkling clean. She takes incredible care of our home and all things in it. All communications (for example, regarding timing, expectations, etc.) have been clear and effortless. Additionally, I believe her fees to be competitive within the market. I am, for sure, getting my money's worth with her expert care and service of our home. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Elizabeth is extremely nice and friendly. She is a lovely person and a joy to know. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Elizabeth's services.

I was the one home during the first (and only) cleaning with Cyndi and her helper. I am a very detailed person and therefore prepared a small list of notes for things that I wanted to make sure were done. For example, using our towels, using our vacuum and such. Nothing crazy, just basic stuff. I went over this list personally with Cyndi before I left them alone to clean. When I came back, there were a few areas that were noticeably missed by the vacuum on the tile downstairs. I asked that it be gone over quickly which she grudgingly agreed to do. However, even after direction from me, proceeded to use the vacuum with the brush bar rotating. I had showed her earlier that it was not to be used on tile, only carpet as directed by the manufacturer. She didn't care, just wanted out of there. Then came time for payment. My wife had specifically spoken to her about what payment types were okay. Check was okay but cash was preferred. Well too bad, I had a check and that's where the stink really began. She claimed that she had told my wife it was to be cash only, a lie. I told her that I only had the check. She wanted to make sure that it was with her bank so that she could cash it (obviously not a legit business at this point) which just happened to be, supposedly. Still though, she made it clear about how she would now have to drive to the bank and cash the check so that she could pay her helper. Your problem lady, not your customers. After she left I checked my notes. Absolutely nothing had been payed attention to. She cared nothing of my requests, only to get in and out and with cash in hand. This is an absolutely rotten place to work with and far from a business. Stay away, plenty of professionals in this industry.
