I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Faure and had an awful experience with his receptionist Kathleen. She told me that they don't take BlueChoice and was impossible to have a basic conversation with. She just stopped talking to me and I hung up. She called back a few minutes later and said that she'd put me on hold (without telling me), and they do take BlueChoice. Train wreck. Gave up immediately. read more

It is my practice to start my Yelp Reviews with the positive. I have nothing positive to say about this practice. If someone else does please message me. They were on the list provided by my insurance company. I got there. I was told they did not take my insurance. I had a conference call with both them and insurance. The woman on the phone was rude and hung up. To be fair, they asked for my insurance card when I made the appointment. They were on the list and I did not have my card handy. They should ask to be taken off the list and not be rude to patients. read more

First, the receptionist is terrible. She makes scheduling an appointment difficult. In person she is no better. She does not even attempt to be nice. So I figure who cares as long as the doctor is good. Nope. He did not fully listen to me. He misdiagnosed me as a result. Unfortunately, Dr. Faure's Front Office person's rude & disrespectful mannerism on two occasions is the reason I left this practice & found a new Primary Care Physician. I do not allow ethnic or language barriers to fly for anyone who gives out unkind service, especially in a medical setting. She has no couth in patient privacy as she holds conversations from her desk to patients sitting in the lobby, gets very impatient over the telephone & acts it's a burden when you request a follow up call from Dr. Faure. When Dr. Faure submitted my lab tests he had my name in correct, I was not upset & kindly brought that up to Front Office person, as she's the first line of communication via telephone & in person. She had the audacity to get snappy with me...strike one. Strike two was her telephone behavior when I called to request a follow up from an ER visit. She tried to over talk me, informed me that she was busy with the patients in front of her & asked when I was scheduling my annual physical appointment. No time for strike three as I addressed her & gave her 24 hours to get my chart together for pick up. When I did arrive, she tried to give me my copy that was barely together with a plastic paper clip...let's just say before I left I got an apology & my chart in an envelope. read more

Dont go here. Scheduled an appointment at 2PM. By 2:45, there were still two people ahead of me waiting to be seen. The secretary said i would certainly be seen in an hour. I left instead of wasting more time. Also note that the office itself is in a basement and is dark and uninviting. read more

Took my child here for a checkup and vaccine update. The doctor told me that I had to go to the pharmacy next door and buy the vaccine myself, which meant that insurance wouldn't pay for it. He also managed to omit a number of items that would normally be included in a physical. The receptionist barely spoke English and couldn't understand simple conversation. She gave me a Belgian visa questionnaire instead of an ordinary checkup questionnaire; when I pointed out that she had given me the wrong form, it took several minutes of exasperated conversation to convince her that I was not trying to get a Belgian visa. Dr. Faure has been my primary care for several years. I had a check up every year, and I noticed that he never compared the results from the previous ones. I know everyone can make a mistake, but he discarded something which could have become a huge issue if not treated in a timely manner. Dr. Faure is a quack. He said I had a fever by checking my wrist and he misdiagnosed me and gave a prescription for antibiotics. I later found out that I actually had the FLU (the antibiotics prolonged my dreadful symptoms). There also is no medical equipment - how could he possibly diagnose a patient accurately?! read more

The secretary always seems overwhelmed and is not on top of making things run smoothly. example: every time I've called to make an appointment or reschedule she has put me on hold and then hung up on me. Scheduled appointment times don't actually matter in this office. When I arrived for my appointment, someone else who arrived at the same time as me got to the sign-up sheet before I did -- he was seen before me because he signed-in first, even though his appointment was scheduled for half an hour later than mine (I found out later). I waited an hour and a half for an appointment that was scheduled for 10:30. Dr. Faure is good, but I'm not coming back here -- not worth the huge hassle. read more

Dr Faure is a great Doctor. Very kind, patient, honest, and very good at what he does. Venus, his receptionis is a sweetheart, always trying to help; she even schedule appt. with specialists for her patients- not just hand you a referral. I recommend Dr. Faure to everyone. read more

I just went to dr faure's last week and was a bit surprised by the reviews on yelp now that I'm writing a post (new yelper). I've been seeing Dr Faure since being in the area and for more than 10 years. He is a good doctor and I think a lot of the complaints are misplaced. First, the fact that he is busy should say something about his credentials. Second, yes the secretary is busy at times but that's because of reason number one. And because she actually remembers patients... I have yet to go to a private doctors office where they have treated me as well or treated me more than just a number. In this case, she has always remembered me and my family which we were surprised about since we'd left the area for a bit. She has also always tried to help me with questions that I may have about insurance, labs etc which other doctors office usually ask me to do on my own. She has greeted us warmly when we've had appointments and always asks how everything is going. I see her do the same thing with other regular patients. That personal touch is important and is becoming less frequent this day and age. From what I've seen, it seems that some are very quick to write negative reviews. read more

I have felt in good hands with Dr. Faure for well over a decade. I find him attentive and his diagnoses accurate.

I have also been a patient of Dr. Faure's for a LONG time and I think he's great! The fact that appointment times are "loosely" scheduled shows me that he isnt pushing people in and out of his observation rooms just to turn a dollar. If you ask questions or have concerns, he takes time to answer them. He talks to you, makes you feel comfortable, and takes his time. I have no problem waiting until he can see me and have learned that a 1pm appointment may mean 1:45pm, but Id rather wait some extra time, catching up on my magazine reading, than have some money-minded Dr. bringing me in and shooing me out in 10 minutes. I appreciate the relationship that I have with my Dr, and recommend that people come to see him too. read more

I think Dr. Faure is a excellent Dr. I think that he is just more advanced medically and it shows when it comes to the care I have been provided. He has been treating me for the past 15 years approximately and I can tell he really cares about my well being. Venice in the office is always on top of it when it comes to scheduling and handling business affairs. Had an uncomfortable feeling something wasn't right but couldn't put my finger on it. He was my primary care provider but stopped going to him because for some reason he doesn't believe in taking your vitals and he'll prescribe antibiotics without even really a thorough exam. Sparse medical equipment. I now have borderline high blood pressure, which I only just found out due to an unrelated exam for my insurance. Upsetting because had he been taking my vitals I could have been aware and did something about it! Use his services at your own risk! read more

I love Dr Faure and have always found it worth the wait. If you know the secretary Venus who is adorable she will do anything for you and tell you the best times to come in. Dr. Faure really gets to know his patients also, and is open when you ask to see any kind of specialist. sometimes I think of changing but he knows me too well, other MDs just don't take the time he does to know his patients. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Faure for a long time. He's very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I have had several emergencies over the years and I could just call the office and be seen the same day. Another bonus is that he does all your blood work at his office so you don't have to go to a lab. The receptionist is old and slow, but she's nice. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Faure for over ten years. He is one of the best doctors that I have seen since moving to Maryland over ten years ago. Although appointment times are made he will see patients on a first come basis. Dr. Faure's office is always busy, But, he will always spend the time needed to listen to you and evaluate your symptoms. Dr. Faure has referred me to specialist that have helped me. When he is out of town he has a wonderful doctor attend to his patients and they review who was seen and our records are updated accordingly. As for his secretary, I think she is great. Busy yes! The number of calls that she receives when I am in the office I believe she handles well. If she is on another call she will ask you to hold when she is finished with the call she gets back to you. Not all calls are one or two minutes long they may take longer to handle because patients will ask other questions and she will take the time to answer. You don't always get that from other doctor offices you are told to ask when you come to the office. I do not know who wrote these complaints but is seems as though someone had a bad day and is taking it out on this practice. I moved to Frederick County seven years ago and I still travel to Bethesda to this practice he is my primary care doctor and will remain so. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR.FAURE'S PRACTICE! read more

Dr. Faure is the best! Kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable about health conditions. I have diabetes and went to his office for a routine check up and he advised me to have my A1c tested and the lab results indicated that my blood levels were dangerously high. I am grateful to Dr. Faure for his experience and knowledge which directly aided me with discovering a problem that could have had a terrible ending without his intervention.
