It wasn't a big job (the bathroom is small at just under 6'x6'), and I could tell he was trying to dissuade me from hiring Greystone. But I felt comfortable with both the price range and time frame, so he left to write up a proposal saying it would be two weeks before he sent it. After three weeks I emailed asking the status of the proposal. That's when he sent me the proposal with a price of over $17,000. Obviously he didn't want the job (too small), but instead of telling me he wouldn't do it, he decided to over-inflate all aspects of the job to get me to turn him down. Well, I didn't respond to his offense (which has been three months now), and Rob hasn't bothered to reach out to see if I wanted to sign the proposal.
