I spoke with the owner, who took the time (on a weekend) to explain the process to me, answer my questions, and explain the difference between his service and the service I used to use (a major carpet cleaning chain). The price was very reasonable, the reviews were all positive, so I booked the appoitnment. Greg was my technician. He was right on time, and called me 20 minutes prior to his arrival to let me know he was almost at my house. He was super polite, professional, wore a mask, and seemed like someone who takes great pride in what he does. He said he specializes in major remediation work, like after a water heater bursting. From his demeanor, he's exactly who I would call in a nerve-wracking situation like that. He cleaned the carpets in 4 bedrooms, 1 hallway, and a walk-in closet for us. Our house smells great, and it's been 2 days and we still don't smell the dog odors, so we think he really resolved our issue. I would use this company again, especially for some of our fancier area rugs, and I would definitely recommend Duraclean to anyone. I don't have any pictures to upload because staining wasn't an issue for us. But if you could smell our carpets before and after, you'd be a believer!

It amazes me how companies like this stay in business. I purchased a groupon and made an…read moreappointment two and a half weeks ahead of my appointment date. I called the night before to confirm the time of arrival. We just moved and our old townhouse needed to have the carpets cleaned per our rental agreement. James (the owner) said a technician would be there between 8 and 9. I waited patiently and when no one arrived by 9:15, I called to see where they were (sitting in a completely empty house isn't that much fun). James said the technician was 15-20 minutes away. I continued waiting because I needed my carpets cleaned to fulfill my rental obligation. I had two contractors coming to my new house at 10 AM so when no one arrived by 9:45 (45 minutes passed our appointment window). At 10 AM I called AGAIN (notice how they never once called me) and they said he was on his way and would be there in 15 minutes. I told him the door was unlocked and to go in and get started as I needed to work with people at my new house who were actually on time. When I was finally able to break free from the people at 10:30 I arrived to a note on the door saying "I waited for 20 minutes" which was completely impossible considering he was 15 minutes away at 10 AM. I called James again and he said he tried to call me (complete lie as I didn't have a single missed call or voicemail) and the technician couldn't enter the house without someone there. I asked him when they could get back out here because I needed the carpets cleaned in order to get my security deposit back and he said "I personally will come out tomorrow morning, 8 AM sharp." So this morning I went to the house, arrived at 7:55 because I thought, surely he will be punctual. James (the owner) was a no show. I called his phone three times, left a voicemail and never received a response. I called another carpet cleaner and THANKFULLY they were able to get here before my keys needed to be turned in this afternoon. The funniest part is, I just received a phone call from James saying "I'll be there in 30 minutes", what a joke.
