Spray adhesive (3M Headliner and Fabric Adhesive/@Amazon) didn't solve the issue because the foam the headliner was attached to continued to crumble. So I did an online search and one of the companies I found was "Bigs Mobile Headliners." I liked the idea that they came to your location and did the work rather than me having to take my vehicle to some other location and leave it. I phoned Bigs and spoke to Jim Lucas and made an appointment for him to come to my house and do the repair/re-cover. Jim came out and none of the (dozens) of fabrics he had on hand were an exact match (one was close, but not exact). Using a fabric sample card, Jim found an exact match and ordered the material. Jim texted me a couple of times to keep me apprised of the progress on the arrival of the material (it was fast). Two days after the original appointment Jim phoned me and gave me a time he could arrive to do the repair. He arrived on time and completed the job in about two hours. The headliner now looks "factory new" (better). The fabric Jim used appears to be of better quality than the original. Jim does need access to A/C power to run his "glue gun" compressor. Interestingly, the price Jim quoted me was the lowest bid I got. It is unusual for "low bid" and "high quality work" to go hand-in-hand. But with Jim, it did. I was completely satisfied with the quality of the work Jim did and would highly recommend him. Oh, and Jim is very personable and cleaned up all of the fabric scraps in my driveway where he worked. When he left, you could even tell he'd been here.

It took about 48 hours from quote to project complete. The headliner in my car gave out and desperately needed replacement, Ben showed me some great options and talked me through the process.     I hired Nashville Upholstery (also known as Mobile Leather Repair) to install Katzkin leather in…read moreone of our work trucks. I explicitly told the owner Ben that I wanted the leather to match the armrest color and sent a photo for reference. When I picked up the truck the leather was the wrong gray matching the original cloth instead. My text messages clearly showed the requested color but Ben was rude and dismissive. The installation was sloppy with loose fitting leather and scratches on our brand new truck's cupholder that Ben initially refused to fix. He never showed a leather sample before ordering or installing. When I said I would dispute the charge and leave an honest review Ben threatened to post fake reviews about our business. He followed through and left a fake Google review on our page despite never doing business with us (screenshot available). My attorney also contacted the law firm Ben claimed was representing him. They had no record of him as a client. Update 1: After I contacted Katzkin directly they replaced the entire leather kit at no cost and sent it to a different much better installer in the Nashville area. The new seats are perfect and match exactly as originally requested. Update 2 (November 2025): Nashville Upholstery refused to pay for the damage their employee admitted causing in writing so we filed in Davidson County General Sessions Court. The judge ruled completely in our favor and entered a $1000 judgment plus court costs against the owner Ben. When we went to his shop to collect the court ordered judgment (which is legal) Ben refused payment and became verbally abusive. We are now enforcing the judgment through the Davidson County Sheriff's Office and Ben will be placed into custody over $1000. Court documents, text admissions, the fake review he left on our business, and all related correspondence are available. Katzkin ultimately made everything right but the experience with Nashville Upholstery / Mobile Leather Repair was completely unacceptable. There are many reputable Katzkin authorized installers in middle Tennessee. This shop should be your last choice. Check their numerous negative reviews on Google and Yelp before considering them.

I was asking about them being able to troubleshoot the radio issues and off the bat, he went into sell mode. He then stated that they don't "repair" and only sell. Which is weird because many people had recommended them for their radio expertise and repairs. He again, stated that he didn't they don't make repairs, but then attempted to sell me a radio in excess of $1000.00 and I knew then this wasn't the business that I wanted, since I wasn't in the market for a radio and wanted to see options of repairing prior to replacing. I will say the guy on the phone was extremely polite and kind, but he was definitely not hearing me on just wanting solutions. If they only sell them my apologies on this review.

    Let me start by saying that Jason at Street Sounds in Nashville is a patient and good man…read more My daughter had an issue with her car at an oil change facility in town (Nashville), where things went extremely bad as they made a mistake that could have been catastrophic to the car's engine. They also disconnected the battery cable from the battery and evidently, that reset the car's (RAV4 2002) very old aftermarket security alarm. The alarm system kept activating the audible alarm and the car would not start. As she is traveling across the country, this all could not have happened at a worse time! I will spare some of the details regarding just how bad the day was. Suffice it to say, it was like a snowball rolling downhill gathering more and more snow. I looked up local alarm shops in Nashville, I am in California, and I came across Jason who was very willing to listen and help try to diagnose the problem over the phone. Jason understood the stress my daughter was under and he patiently worked with her and I over the phone in an attempt to resolve the problem with the alarm system. We eventually had the car taken to Jason's shop that same day and he was able to quickly fix things so that my daughter could get back on the road. I feel very blessed that we came across Jason and Street Sounds as they are honest, empathetic and trustworthy. He cared about a good outcome and made all the difference in helping to get to that end. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Jason. He is very prompt with his quotes and responses about fabric quantities and recommendations when I text him photos of potential pieces, and has been quite quick with turn-around (sometimes, even sooner than I'm prepared for, given the job/construction delays!) I will continue to use Kenny for as long as I need recovering services!

    I had a very frightening experience with this company. And left with a damage chair, the same…read morechair I dropped off in pristine condition. The owner was doing a simple repair, reattaching the an arm by screwing it. back into the base. The cost of $38 dollars became $145 at pickup. And thank goodness I took photos of the chair when I dropped it off at the warehouse showing the fabric was in perfect condition, no marks or stains. At pickup, the chair was covered in glue and black oil stains. The owner refused to fix it. I tried to take him some material. I tried to talk to him and recorded our conversations. He was rude and told me to sue him since he is retiring at the end of the year and closing. He got in my face and then slammed a door, hitting me because I wouldn't leave and kept asking him to work with me, knowing if I left, that chair was on me. Then, he got his keys and tried to leave and screamed he would back into my truck if I didn't move it out of the way. He was erratic. We finally left and took the chair. I have a damaged chair now that is badly stained all over and has dried glue in the fabric. My proof doesn't seem to matter and he could care less. This is a family heirloom. Please don't let this happen to you.
