I asked about reinforcing the roof due to the weight of the solar panels and he told me if it was necessary, he would do it as part of the job but it wasn't needed. A few months later, a contractor was up in my roof and he found several broken roof rafters due to the solar panel installation. It costed me $1,600 to repair the damage. Now, just over two years after installation, the electric company has informed me that my microprocessors have stopped working, the panels are not producing electricity and need replacement. Unfortunately, they do not recommend installers and they told me to call the person who installed my panels. Needless to say, I'm researching installers now. There is no way I will call Josh again. I suspect he used poor quality microprocessors and that's why they're failing.

The entire…read moreprocess (estimate to complete installation) took about 10 days and Ozark Solar had me up and running. I am one of those homeowners who will get multiple price quotes and do my homework on equipment brands, type of inverters and even seek out others in my area who have gone the solar route already for their experiences. I actually got 17 different solar quotes so I would recommend that anyone thinking about going solar would at least get a handful of estimates before making a decision. Some solar companies will offer you free stuff (like a bunch of LED light bulbs, a new thermostat, etc.) if you sign the contract with them but 'free' really is not free once you see that their quoted price is actually twice the price of the other companies. So I would highly recommend Ozark Solar for your solar needs.

In your roof because they don't know how to use a tape measure to find the raptors in your attic. Then they use a hammer and pound and pound and pound just to find the rafters in your roof. They charge $50000 for a system that is solar edtechnology. The people do not know anything about what the system is about or what it should do or how it should operate. You call them for app help help and they talk to you like. They didn't talk to you before and you're the 1st time that they've. Ever talk to you but over the last 3 months. You may have talked to this person 6 or 7 times.. They always lie to you they tell you that they're gonna be out at a certain time but they never are. A lot of the employees are so disgusted with the way. The office personnel and there's just good thing about this company. If The app would work I would know if my system is working correctly and I would probably leave a better review.

I'm wanting to share how terrible our experience has been from the beginning with AG Solar -…read morebecause I hope I can save someone time, energy, and maybe even money. Sadly, I was referred to AG Solar from one of my close friends, and I feel so frustrated that as a consumer I didn't think to do my research on the company. I held my friends referral in great esteem and I expected a completely different experience. From the beginning Justin Grenke gave us a presentation - to which it felt we were being "sold" the product, yet I had already told him we wanted to have them installed and just needed to get the process started. He then went ahead and focused on what we wanted, and we didn't have to waste anymore time. Then throughout the entire process - Justin would call me at his convenience between the hours of 11AM to 2PM while I was at work, even though he knew I worked 8 to 5, rather than scheduling some time that I could be available and step away from work. They were incredibly pushy for us getting paperwork completed. However, fast forward to today - system has been installed but we've had issues with the inverter connecting to the solar edge application showing solar production. I let them know this Friday - and today Wednesday after emailing, texting, and calling the company, I was never called back once. In addition, my sister had to call from her cell to finally get through and then she 3-way for me to speak with their receptionist. There excuse - phones were down for 2 days, emails were going to spam, and finally Justin didn't get my text messages - which is incredibly hard to believe. Personally I feel they were avoiding intentionally my messages to neglect us as customers. I spoke with their customer service manager - Emmanuel Johnson - who apologized and his only resolution was to reimburse us, what that really meant only he knew. The solar panels were installed on the roof, we also had work to our electrical box, and finally bought two mini-splits - so I'm guessing his resolve was to remove all the installed equipment and leave holes in the wall and roof I guess. Not sure how far reimbursement would go. Justin Grenke - who is the sales manager is incredibly unprofessional, prime example not returning calls, emails, or texts related directly to the installation - for example the inverter not communicating. I had to call numerous times and Justin never responded to this day. Erin Rodgers - is the office manager she also pushed the loan paperwork but when I asked to speak to her over the poor experience and issues with our "new" system - I did not get a call until today after asking to speak with her for 2 weeks. Her resolve was to patch up the issues, when I asked about their HVAC installer she had no idea who JR was - I told AG sent him out. In any case I lost confidence in their reputation and credibility. Because at the very least they should know who their external contractors are. Emmanuel even told me he couldn't make her call me back and he had let her know. Even their receptionist - Da'vone Crawford was aloof to everything and could never provide information or points of contact for anything going on with the process. I could go on and on of how this experience has been, but don't just take my word for it - so many other customers have similar experiences that I realized a little too late when I researched the company online. I will not be referring AG to any of our family or friends. I wouldn't want anyone that I care about going through this experience, if asked I will be completely transparent about our negative experience. I'm extremely dissatisfied and I'm very nervous on how things will be handled if we encounter any issues moving forward. Erin has promised me this would not be the case, but honestly their credibility is shattered - at least we have a legally binding document that will require AG to honor their warranties - hopefully.

The installation took only a few hours and the crew kept everything very clean. One of their customer service reps, Nikki, walked me through my summary documents and all the support I can expect from Shine going forward. After buying my house, I was interested in getting solar panels for two reasons, 1-take advantage of the 26% tax incentive (reducing to 23% in 2023), and 2-I am concerned about climate change. I got several quotes from providers in the area and figured out what I care about. What stood out to me about Shine was that they use an American manufacturer, they have and honored a guaranteed minimum production, they threw in energy efficiency measures, and overall they have been great to work with throughout the process. I've waited to write this review so that I could include some numbers. In 2021 compared to 2020 I saw a 16% reduction in my gas usage and a 26% reduction in my electric usage. The dollar value of my savings account for about 40% of my monthly payment for the panels. There was no down payment required to get the panels and Shine helped me get a loan. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about Shine or the solar buying process in general.

Shine solar shouldn't get another penny from anyone!
