No text messages saying what time he'll be there and a complete no show. I guess he doesn't like criticism and would rather ghost me than do his job. Prove what you just said. When asked to take it down the owner became irate and has started harassment to the point of having to call the police multiple times along with now stalking and threats. He is very unstable and should anyone use his service, please know if you end services he will not take to it well. He claims to be BBB affiliated (on his truck) but he is not, claims he is a legitimate contractor but is found to be not licensed. Very sketchy. We now have active charges of harassment against this man(owner) and even after being asked to leave us alone by us and the police he continues to harass and stalk. Not a good way to run a business.

We "interviewed" a few landscaping companies before making our selection. Having read horror…read morestories about people starting and not finishing or timelines taking way longer than expected, etc made me nervous. I found The Works from NextDoor and had David, the owner, come out to talk through what we wanted. He provided guidance, options, gave us reasons to do or not on some of the things we wanted to and was just overall patient and professional. He created a photo mock-up of what the stonework (landscaping bed) would look like and sent it to us for reference. He probably came to our house 4x before they even started and didn't charge a penny until the job was near done. His crew was professional and respectful and didn't leave any trash or debris behind. They came when they said and finished when they were supposed to. We have old brick and our HOA wouldn't approve anything that didn't match. David spent so much time finding and matching brick and stone for us and the end result looks wonderful. We are so happy we went with The Works! He fixed the sprinklers that were effected by the digging in minutes as well. I learned that they not only create these beautiful stone borders and landscaping but they are a full service lawn company. Warm white really looks great at night and he used the really good old fashion light bulbs, not the cheap string lights. David can envision how to make your exterior look amazing. I wasn't sure what the actual price was going to be, but I knew it wouldn't be more than the first quote he gave me. Him and one other guy showed up at about 11 am a week ago to pull weeds. Francisco ensured me they would get it taken care of, so I brought my dogs inside and let them work. An hour later, he said they were going to lunch and that I could bring my dogs outside if I wanted. I took them outside really quick, came back in, and figured they would be back to take care of my yard. They never came back though. I tried messaging Francisco through Yelp messenger, but he blocked me. I also tried calling and texting his number but got no response. At first, I let it go, thinking they just weren't up for the job- that it was way more than they expected. That's fine, but what isn't fine is they sprayed a ton of nonselective weed spray on my lawn, killing my grass. I've waited a week, hoping maybe they didn't kill my grass, but they definitely did. Not only did they not take care of the job they were hired for, but they permanently damaged my lawn. Now I will have to rip out my grass and either get sod or put down grass seed. I am so upset that they didn't at least fix the damage they caused before leaving.
