From the first moment to the last, working with La Vie was an outstanding experience. -First, the actual reasons we hired them---the photos! I loved the style of the team from the get go. Jose and Jess capture the most important moments, but they also take candid shots that speak volumes about the day---more than any portrait could. The photos are also beautiful, in an artistic and journalistic style that I loved. Technically La Vie also knows what they are doing---after looking at countless photographers, La Vie were the only ones who captured even low light photos with grace. We got some gorgeous pics back and I am so happy with the result. -Second, professionalism - The team are true professionals. From the first to last moment, La Vie were super professional. I had a lot of questions throughout the process of hiring the photographer and Jose and Jess spent quite a bit of time answering my questions, always professionally and patiently. I also asked for certain things to be negotiated in the contract and Jose and Jess took all my requests seriously and respectfully. I met Davide at an international film festival a couple of years ago and we hit it off immediately…read more He was attending as a photographer and covering all types of events for the festival including red carpet and behind the scene photographs. What struck me about Davide, other than being super affable and kind and fun to be around, was watching him work. I love observing people as they transform from off duty and "get into character." Davide was an absolute pro. You could tell he loved his work as he gently directed those he was photographing on where to stand, how to pose, and was always positioning himself for the perfect shot. I stood by and watched in awe as he shot pictures of the legendary Grace Jones-a former supermodel and musical icon, and watched them both work together effortlessly in perfect simpatico. Davide and I stayed in touch and promised to one day visit him if I were ever in the Miami area. I had recently gotten married my wife wanted to see Miami for the first time. I let Davide know we'd be in town and he invited us over to his hi-rise apartment which also doubles as his studio. Unbeknownst to my wife, Davide offered us a photoshoot as a belated wedding gift to us both which was a wonderful surprise to my wife and much to her delight. Having only worked with professional photographers a few times before, and being the kind of person who is usually displeased with just about every picture taken of me, I at least knew I was in good hands. To me, it was an honor and privilege to have Davide offer to photograph us having seen him in action before and admired his previous work. Davide was very encouraging, boosted the confidence of both me and my wife, was playful and fun and took the some of the very best pictures I've ever been in. Davide seems to have this natural and somewhat effortless approach to discovering the best possible angles and poses. I'm not sure if it's just raw talent or perhaps years and years of hard work and dedication, (probably a combination of both) but no matter what the case, the man knows his trade. Being a tad self-conscious I stress at times getting my picture taken, especially with someone as beautiful as my wife. But Davide assuaged my worries and made the experience fun and took some amazing photographs of us both. The one caveat to working with Davide is this; he may completely ruin any future experience I have working with other photographers. He is just so damn good at what he does I worry I'll forever compare him to everyone else. We were so lucky to have someone at the absolute top of his game work with us. It was so extremely kind and generous of Davide to do this for us and can't say enough about how much love and respect I have for him.
