Jcpenney in Washington Mo owes me nothing, I went there, not really looking for much of anything, but came out with a bunch of everything. This was a tax-free weekend, and on top of that, the sales were awesome, I saved a lot of money on all of the fabulous deals and when I got to the register the cashier game me a coupon that reveals a savings of 30, 40 or 50% and wouldn't you know my coupon was the 50% off. I live about 45 minutes away from this JC Penney but will definitely make it my business to visit again. Everyone from the customers to the employees was friendly. read more

I would give no stars for customer service, but I guess they do deserve a one star since the store was being kept clean. Went in to the Washington store to get shoes and do a little shopping. Not much to offer in the shoe department for larger feet, then headed to the plus size and why is it you want to dress the plus size women in old lady garb or wild colors that make us look like we are part of the circus. I have not had much luck at this store for a few years in finding anything for the larger gal. Headed up front to checkout with my shoes and tank. Me and the girls stood around talking waiting for someone to acknowledge us to check us out. There were 2 gals busy about 20 feet away arranging clothes, they did see us never said a word. We herd over the paging system to get help for checking customer out. We waited and waited, seen a lady running to hang some dresses up and thought OK shes coming. NOPE. Then another gal starts heading our way and turns the other direction as well. I said I will take my business elsewhere put the items on the counter and walked out. All she could say was OH I'm Sorry, Are you sorry becasue you didn't pay attention to your job and care about customer satisfaction or just making a statement. This store does not care to help customers, but the clothing laid out looks great. I took my business to Cato's, Maurice's and then to Target. Penny's did not just lose the 70.00 I would have spent but a customer that has been when them since 1994 and spent thousands of dollars over the years. I wouldn't hire anyone for my business if they said they used to work for JC Penny. read more

I have nothing but praise for jcp don't know why so many bad reviews . Never have a problem with returns. Despite being short staffed like all stores are now i find customer service friendly and helpful. My main store for clothes and housewares . Keep hoping washington store stays open. read more

They advertised that they were reopening with limited hours. I know that have over priced off brand clothing but I figured I would deal with it since they were the only thing open in town. I got down there and the dressing rooms are closed. So what is the point ? Are you to buy and then bring back what doesn't fit ? I can do that on line with better prices and better variety. I already forgot her name but I think it was Alicia, either supervisor or manager. She was extremely helpful. Over & above in all ways. The sales merchant was really sweet and worked hard to help me & I had many questions. I have been shopping more lately due to upcoming trip but also to replace small appliances. EVERYONE there has been amazing. After visiting every store out here jc pennys won hands down in customer service and prices. Last thing, if you want something but price was a little out of reach just be sure to scan it because sometimes there's a better price not displayed yet. But prices are already great. This place has the slowest pace for customers. I can go to Steak 'n Shake and back and I would still be stuck in line. Smh.

Returns and catalog counter are the SLOWEST. Not efficient at all. I will never order from their catalog again.

Nice store, always friendly people. Like the new coupon program. You don't need to have it with you. It's more in line with kohls!
