JCP never ceases to surprise me with the good deals that still offer. I stopped by to browse while I waited for the rest of the mall to open. JCP doesn't seem to carry loads of clothing everywhere like they used to but luckily I was able to find my size. I happen to come across some women's wide leg pants that I've been eyeing for 2 weeks and was surprised I found them here. It seems like JCP still knows what's on trend these days because wide leg pants are definitely in-- again. There weren't that many pants left on the rack but I found the last size 4 and they were on sale too! Normally a pair of pants like these run about $60 but at JCP they were on sale for $32. And that's the best price I've seen so far including online. I'm very glad I stopped by on a whim because I was able to find something I was looking for. Seeing how empty JCP normally is, I do hope they don't shut down completely because they still sell some really nice things. The store is very neat and well organized. I love that they have sections separated by floors and different sides of the building. This helps find what your looking for in such a large area. They had a large selection of shoes for men and women, but I wasn't very impressed with their children's selection. I was looking for red dress shoes for my daughter and they didn't have a good selection of dress shoes, let alone red ones. Pleased with all other items we were looking for. We found multiple sweaters for what we were needing them for, and their sale prices were fantastic! I do wish normal price on clothing was slightly cheaper, but the quality of their clothes is great so you definitely pay for it. Changing rooms were a little out of date a beat up, but served their purpose. read more

Great JCP! I went here last wknd after the whole Black Friday madness and they still had door busters and Black Friday sales going on the day after. I found some awesome deals on jackets, sweaters, cami's, what have you. Clean dressing rooms with an abundance of unoccupied rooms plus not too many misbehaved children running around! read more

I was at JCP yesterday afternoon just looking for cheap sunglasses since I'm pretty abusive with shades that come my way. Found them for $7. Tried on some clothes, too - dressing rooms are what you'd expect: little cubicles with hooks on the walls with overly bright overhead fluorescent lighting. Typical JCP with trendy apparel at low prices (most of the stuff is Made In China). For the ladies, I saw Liz Claiborne, Olsenboye, Clark's, etc. It's no longer the dowdy, outdated JCP I grew up with, but it's not investing in higher quality either... If you're looking to update your wardrobe on the cheap with fast fashion, I do recommend them. I like the new pricing structure (Fair & Square) because I know what will be the lowest possible price I'll ever see. Every item is marked, but I guess the company as a whole isn't doing so well because of this. Discarding all sales events in the last year seems to have hurt them; the American shopper has been trained to look for such sales. read more

Walked around And they didn't tell me it was closing in 20 mins and every employee hid from me so they didn't have to tell me the fitting rooms were closed. Kicked us out and didn't let us go through the door we came in so we had to walk all the way around the mall read more

This is a very nice Penney's, as they go. I've always found some pretty good deals here, particularly with children's and juniors clothes. The store is adequately staffed, and in my experience they have always been helpful and pleasant. Also noticed a really nice selection of new Broncos gear in every size imaginable- I'm going to have to come back and stock up next time. read more

Do not get portraits done at this or any other JC Penny studio. Really nice gals, but they have no professional training. A person's phone can take better pictures than they can. Plus, they overbook and rush you. I was very disappointed with the outcome. Learned my lesson. Pay a bit extra, so you have good pics and not crappy ones. read more

Today I visited the jcpenny salon located in colorado springs at the citidal mall.  I went in and was in the process of purchasing some haircare products.  The man checking me out was polite and professional. However, the other person working was not, I do not know her name but she had short blonde hair.  She came up while I was paying slouched on the counter and asked me a question.  At first I thought she said what do you do?  I said to her you mean for work?  She said no when are you due?  I told her I was not pregnant, and was quite shocked and overcome with humiliation.  My boyfriend was also witness to this and was in shock immediately he said well were never coming here again.  We did continue on going to the other store we needed to go to, all the while I was so self conscious and embarrassed thinking wow do I really look that fat?  When on our way out I decided to return the 71.96$ worth of merchandise i just bought i honestly did not feel good about giving all of that money to a company that has employees that humiliate you and think nothing of it.  I feel you should feel good about a purchase and not like I did.  I did complain to the manager after I returned my items, she was great I think her name was Sarah, she apologized and let me know it has happened to her and she would tell the salon manager.  I did leave the mall in tears which was not my intention for this trip.  If I knew this was going to happen I never would have went.  I have been coming to jcpenny for years and now I'm too embarrassed to go back.  Please if anything address this and train staff not to ask inappropriate questions like that to strangers. This can really cause public humiliation and embarrassment. I did reach out to file a complaint online, they did respond in a timely manner and sent to the store manager, who also responded quickly. His apology was sincere and he said he is taking action to ensure proper customer service is given in the store. I was also promised a gift card but after the first email the manager sent i have not heard back since. read more

I came here the other day to get some headshots done for my business. Their photographer Ashley did an amazing job and provided me with a number of great portraits. Not only that but she gave me the great idea to get a few printed out to give to my mother for valentines day. Getting me to smile for photos can be kind of tricky since I always feel goofy. However Ashley made the overall session very fun and easy going. If you're looking for someone to do your family portraits I would highly recommend having her do yours. If their citadel location is too far from you, she did mention she works at several other jcpenney portrait studios with in the springs. I will definitely have her do other portraits for me in the future read more

I wouldn't normally waste my time writing a review for a big box store, because they are all the same. I went in to buy sheets and had some questions. Couldn't find anyone to assist me. I also was looking for humidifiers and had to track down an employee who informed me they didn't have them in the store, but maybe online. The last thing that was off-putting was how the cashier insisted I needed a plastic bag for my purchase. I hate plastic bags and try to avoid them if possible. I told her I was good and it wasn't necessary. She said if I didn't have a bag security would stop me. I replied I was fine with that and would show them my receipt. She preceded to give one to me anyways. read more

Well I bought a gift card just 3 weeks ago. The clerk said gift card is not returnable. I don't know understand why. No wonder that they going downhill. Also, when I bought a shoes that hurts my feet and tried to return it for that reason, the Manager said, since I worn it, it can't be returned. They have so many rules that are not acceptable to the customer. If they keep doing this, I won't be surprised if they lose a frequent customer!!! read more
