Lucky for us we had another bathroom to use while we searched for a fix/replacement. So I use Yelp a lot (like 500+ reviews a lot) but always for restaurants. I tried finding a plumber as I wanted reliable, local and small business with great reviews and many star ratings. I also wanted honest and trustworthy as I was asking someone to go into my elderly parents house to do a home repair that I would normally complete for them. Guilt! The Yelp search distribution was a great service and Proficient responded quickly and gained my confidence with our phone call. My parents and their caregiver were comfortable with the employee and the cost was reasonable and met my expectations. Proficient Plumbing is now in my phone contacts for any future needs.

I told him I would be contacting other referrals but that I would get back to him. He agreed that would be a smart thing to do and even wished me luck in my search. But when other plumbers were slow to get back to me, I decided that I would go with Vito. I called him at 8PM on a Friday and he was here at 11AM the next day. He determined what the problem was (just as he predicted on our first contact) and, because my toilets are approximately 60 years old, he felt the needed parts might be hard to find. He did fix the problem while he was here but he told me if I had any further trouble with the toilets, he would research, order and install the new parts at the original cost he quoted and the amount I paid him today, would be credited back to me. In addition to being very fair, this young man was knowledgeable and so pleasant to talk to. I am looking forward to his completing the job (which may not even be needed). And I am certain that he will be honest with me in this regard. Please give this young man a try. I am sure you will be pleased with him.
