WORST MECHANIC I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I have been lied to my face about the quality and workmanship…read moreperformed. It felt like I was always given the most expensive option to service or repair my jeeps needs. I will not ever do business with Lopez auto service again. This last repair is what's lead me to this review. I went in because I got a check engine light for what turned out to be my exhaust gas recirculation. I was immediately told that I need a whole new part. No cleaning or inspection was done, just that I need a NEW part. Bought an OEM PART myself and took it to Lopez. They replaced it and even after it was replaced the same check engine light notification would come on. I was told to take it back "every time" it comes on. After a few times I got my car looked at by another mechanic, a large rubber cap was purposely placed somewhere inside of the system. Which caused the check engine light to continuously appear. The large unidentified rubber cap did not belong. Felt like I was scammed so I may continue to spend unnecessary $ here at this mechanic.

I was greeted by Ray who was very professional and patiently listened to all of my concerns. Ray said they would check it out thoroughly. What followed is what I believe makes this place an excellent choice. When we next spoke, not only was I shown what the problems were, (main issue was the exhaust manifold with a long crack (no wonder the fumes)) but I was provided with options without any pressure or fast-talk. We discussed in detail which were priorities and which could wait. The prices quoted were very reasonable, I made my choices and agreed to the work.. Kevin and Peter worked on my car. As the work progressed, I would receive texted explanations of the work being done, and pictures of parts removed and parts installed. I really appreciated that. They are very knowledgeable and did an excellent job, going beyond what I expected in terms of quality and efficiency. When I picked up my car, all the work done was reviewed with me, there were no surprises nor confusion. All upfront and honest work. When I drove away, I was extremely pleased with the performance, it actually drove like new! I am very happy with this experience and with everyone I communicated with. I truly value a place that I can trust. They exceeded my expectations with excellent and honest service. I recommend this business.

I paid over 2 grand because they said it was two pumps on my truck. took it home and failed me again a few days later. I took it back and they told me the truck turned on and there was nothing wrong with it, regardless they charged me 160 just for removing my battery in and out saying they needed to remove a seat. the car never started . it took me months to figure out wether or not I really wanted to fix this car after this botched work. I went to a different mechanic where he diagnosed it was just the intelligent fuse box, a fuse was shorted... The mechanic told me not to go back to that place, that diagnosing bad fuel pumps is basic and the fact they replaced them was sketchy. they pretty much replaced my pumps and kept good working ones, he also said how changing me 160 for removing a battery is so bad. I've actually learned there is no need to remove the seats and it was dishonest. so I spent thousands of dollars on repair that wasn't needed and never even got the truck working. use this service at your own risk. they cannot work on cars past 2017, they don't have the know how.
