He returned immediately and addressed a minor problem and the washer worked. Nico even followed up later that afternoon to double check the washer was working properly. The repair was moderately priced and I will call again to have my dryer vacuumed and cleaned.

He came to my tenant's condo in Gardena and stated my almost brand new dishwasher will cost $350 parts & labor to replace the drain pump parts and labor after a 5 minute evaluation. (They did not know the dishwasher was almost brand new) They called to get my authorization to pay, and I declined to have the work done. They stated I need to pay the $69 visit fee only. Later I get a call from Kate, the dispatcher, stating I now need to pay $199 for cleaning fee. However, I stated I never authorized any additional services. They fixed the problem within 15 minutes for the total visit. There were small pieces of plastic there that needed to be cleaned out and the dishwasher is working fine. I guess I didn't need the drain pump to be replaced for $350 after all. When I called to complain, they agreed to take the additional cleaning fee and charge the visit fee only. They subsequently called to apologize and waive my visit fee of $69.

It's been over a month so called back to check status of the part. Now they are trying to gaslight us and say they never received authorization to order the part so they never did, even though they clearly left a voicemail saying that they had already ordered the part. Good thing iPhone transcribes all voicemails. Unless you want to wait and wait for good, honest service. I'd highly recommend you go elsewhere.

Dishwasher repair A+…read more Namik, the technician, was amazing! He and his assistant Sam arrived early. Imagine that! And his company offers a FREE diagnosis. He spent an hour at my home checking the parts, cleaning the spray arms and voila! The dishwasher cleaned great in my test run that evening. (He gave a very reasonable estimate for parts and labor -- should the spray arms have needed to be repaired or replaced.) I later discovered the dishes weren't drying 100 percent. He came back the NEXT DAY and checked the heating element. All is running fine. And unbelievable-- no charge because there wasn't anything wrong. Highly recommend you use him! My experience with most appliance people has not been good. It's nice to have one that made up for all the dishonest and incompetent people in the past.

I had a very disappointing experience with Appliance Guard. The technician, Boris, charged me an…read more$85 service call fee but did almost nothing to diagnose the problem. He simply opened the refrigerator door, said the temperature wasn't cool enough, claimed the sealed system needed repair, and suggested that I contact GE directly. During the visit, he spent time talking on his cellphone for personal reasons and then walked back to his car without performing any meaningful inspection or troubleshooting. I felt like I paid $85 for nothing. Later, I had a GE technician come out. He performed an actual diagnosis, found that the condenser area was heavily clogged with dust, and simply advised me to clean it. After cleaning the condenser, the refrigerator has been working properly. The GE technician also only charged the standard service call fee but actually diagnosed and resolved the issue. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Appliance Guard. I expected a professional diagnosis for the service fee, but instead I felt like I wasted my money.

He cleared it, checked everything around the fridge, and made sure there wasn't another issue. What I appreciated most was that he didn't try to make the problem bigger than it was. Eventually come when the freezer started making a completely different, strange noise. I assumed the two problems were connected and was worried that whatever had caused the ice maker failure was now affecting the freezer. The technician checked both issues independently rather than assuming they had the same cause. As it turned out, they were unrelated. He repaired the ice maker and also located the source of the noise around the freezer fan area and made the necessary adjustment. Afterward, he tested both systems before wrapping everything up. One thing I particularly liked was how he separated things that genuinely needed attention from things that could simply be monitores. There wasn't a list of five recommended repairs suddenly added to the invoice. It felt much more like someone solving the problems we actually called about rather than looking for ways to increase the ticket. Everything has been working normally since.
