Due to hurricane Idalia and some strong wind storms recently some of the screws had raised up. Michael Pittman and Son Roofing is licensed and insured, which was very important to me as a customer as the pitch on my roof is very steep. We met with Michael and Son, they reviewed the issue of raised screws, made the recommendation to replace all current screws with an improved, slightly larger screw. We approved the quote for the work and was placed on the schedule. Crew worked very efficiently, cleaned up all screws removed, replaced the roof vent boots and caulked all boots against water intrusion. Communications via voice, email and text to keep us updated on the schedule and work being completed was excellent. Trevor Pittman was on site while the screw replacement was being completed. We feel we received an excellent job with the right company for our needs at a very good value. Would continue to recommend Michael Pittman and Son Roofing to others without hesitation. We prefer to support local companies whenever we are in need of replacements/repairs to our home.

I was in the market for a new roof on my Gainesville home and interviewed 3 different companies. I…read moredecided to go with TMT Roofing because after speaking with Tyler and reviewing the estimate he gave me, I had a good feeling. I had seen some of the work they had done on both commercial and residential jobs and liked what I saw. Once I signed the contract, they immediately applied for the permit. Tyler kept me up to date on the actual start date because it was a tentative date (with all the rain we have in Florida, you just never know). They were only off by a few days. Each day, the workers showed up by 8:00 am (close to 7:30 am) and would work through the 90 degree weather and stay until sundown (after 8:00 pm) each night. They were all very friendly and kept the job site very clean. I have not found a roofing nail yet!! The best part about this company is the fact that throughout the entire process of replacing the roof, they would communicate with me via photos (phone calls too). As they were ripping off the roof and finding various areas of water damage due to overhanging trees, the foreman would take pictures and upload them to a photo app that was shared between me (the homeowner), Tyler (salesman) and the foreman. I was able to ask questions via the app as well as call Tyler asking what steps needed to be taken next. This really was beneficial for me. I was not able to be home during the day but I felt that I was notified of various things through the entire process and could actually see what was going on and what needed to be done. Once they fixed the problem areas, they would take pictures showing the completed work. The price of the replacing my roof was not the cheapest but rather a fair price and priced in the median range compared to other quotes I received. Getting the quote only took a few days which was a good indication to me (other companies took up to two weeks to come out an inspect my roof). I definitely recommend TMT Roofing and would most definitely use them again!

Our insurance company initially said that our damage was within the deductible. To make a long story short, Tim is a contractor who knows how to deal with insurance companies professionally and effectively. He fought for us, providing State of Florida regulations, law, and code to the insurance company, along with pictures. We took Tim's advice and didn't take the insurance company's next two offiers which still would have left us with a hefty bill. We received a new roof from Tim with two of his best roofers installing it. Throughout the whole ordeal, he made himself available from tarping the roof, and then re-tarping it after the insurance company's inspection, to answering every one of our phone calls quickly, providing advice, and then stopping by several times to inspect the work on the roof as it was being done, and then did a final inspection after the work was done. While he was on my roof, which happens to be difficult to reach, he offered to blow off all the leaves and small limbs that had accumulated. The last week has been a nightmare. Brian and his crew from Southern Miracles Surfacing did sloppy work, cut wood for cement forms on top of a flower pot, one worker walked around barefoot leaving stains on our pool deck, left stakes from cement forms in ground, washed paint brushes and cement trowels on both sides of our house causing it to splatter on our house, HVAC unit, fencing and generator and left a mess in our pool and sat on our patio furniture with cushions full of dirt/paint & sweat. We have spent numerous hours cleaning up the mess. Once Dan and his crew showed up to install pool enclosure we were hoping things would be better but unfortunately things did not go that way. Dan never communicated to us, until after the frame was installed, that we could not have the picture view we contracted because of engineering. We had no choice but to have them finish. They did not follow safe work practices. One of the workers fell off a ladder while trying to hang the gutter and the gutter, two ladders and a ladder plank went crashing into our pool and one worker followed the ladder into the shallow end of the pool almost getting hit in the head by the ladder plank. The next day they continued working in the same way and I told Dan how upsetting it was to see what happened the day before. Dan told me then not to watch. Poor communication and lack of respect for our home and to us as customers and Dan didn't honor his word. We wasted a lot of money and wish we would never have done business with Dan and every time we go outside to our pool we will be reminded of this experience. Lakeside came highly recommended, but after this experience we would NEVER recommend Lakeside Aluminum or Southern Miracles Surfacing to anybody!

Buyer beware! After several conversations with our salesman Chris about delivery and harm to our…read moresod and irrigation he assured us that "you won't even know we were there". Delivery crew arrives and wants to drive the pick up truck and trailer carrying my greenhouse and another customers shed through 120 feet of new sod and irrigation and tells me I'm going to rip up your yard. I mention the mule that I was told would bring the greenhouse from the truck to the backyard. The driver informs me that this will also drag across the yard and rip it up. So I refused the item and they will not give me a refund on my deposit. After being threatened by the owner Kyle stating he is a lawyer he will not honor my request for a refund. Bait and switch operation. The salesman Chris wanted a sale that day and I feel told me what he thought I wanted to hear.
