It's a vicious cycle and through the accountability of the max team and staffers I've been consistent. I've lost some weight, feel better, have gotten healthier and plan to continue. Unfortunately I am moving next month so I won't be able to stay at max in Lacey but will keep going at a location closer to my new home. The owners and trainers are fantastic and amazing people. The class I participated in was led by Kyle and Craig. The instructors as well as the students were both very welcoming. The instruction was very clear and they both offered pointers, as needed, on how to improve any of the moves they were teaching. Yelling in front of children and causing a scene because my friend ," sitting in the fold chairs behind the glass" had just done a block move to show me while having a private conversation. Pulling my friend into his office and yelling at him for disrespecting martial arts. As my friend walks out he mouths to me," get me the fuck out of here." As anyone would respond to a situation like such, I than start getting yelled at being told me friend is extremely disrespectful. While I kept calm tone I was being yelled at this entire time and I decided to say, we should continue this later where kids are not present to where it was brushed off. Finally I decided to leave, it was not worth giving a fight. I'm in no way trying to brush people away from martial arts or dishonor what this academy does. But I do want to make it aware to people what happened that shouldn't have. I hope all is well and everyone stays healthy
