The coaching staff is top-notch and will push you to be your best self. The programming is by far the best programming a CrossFit gym can implement. Every time I'm back in Albuquerque, it's as if I never left! I'd recommend this gym to anyone looking to get into CrossFit.

I first called to let them know I would be dropping-in for a workout and their customer service was fantastic! From the moment I walked in this box everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Everyone treated me like a member that's been there for a long time. Classes are run very well and on time from warmup to the end of the class. Very good programming and knowledge from coaches and members. This box is maintained very well! The entire workout area is clean and neat. Every night after the last class member sweep and mop the floors. Very sanitary, you really can't beat that and your skin will thank you when you have to hit all those Burpees :) Coaches: The coaches here are absolutely amazing! All the coaches I've worked with; Issac, Jonathan, Anna, Alex, Gilbert, Vince, Derek, Sam are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They take the time to get you prepared for the workout and also provide helpful tips if they see you need adjustments in your technique. This is really helpful especially when you're on the pain train! These coaches are the absolute best in Albuquerque! Community: The community at Duke City Crossfit is fantastic! The entire community is welcoming and there to support one another. I really love to come here and train with this group. I've had a chance to get to know a lot of the member here and have become friends with all that I've had the pleasure of meeting. You can tell that everyone here really cares for each other. Experience: Overall, my experience has been extremely positive. From the owner, coaches, members, and box; Duke City Crossfit has done a tremendous job in building a fantastic environment. Make sure to give this place a shot when you're in ABQ, you definitely won't regret it! You think members would keep it clean but they don't . Or even the employees. Chuze needs to do better as well. The workout floor is gross too! There's wipes everywhere . First off, the price starts at only $9/month so pretty much anyone can afford to come here. And for an extra $20/ fee you can get the access to their regular sauna, infrared sauna, steam room, massage room, and so many other neat extras. This gym is fully loaded with luxuries? And it's brand new only 2 weeks old! It has a grass area, and tons and tons of strength and cardio equipment. They have a kids play area if you have little ones, a movie theater, yeah I said that, a movie theater (never seen that at a gym before), they have classes, yoga, a juice bar with calorie counter juices and smoothies, and even a picketball court!! The front desk staff were friendly and informative about the gym, and it was very clean. I feel like I need to switch my gym membership! But likely I'll be getting a second membership here because these guys aren't nationwide I don't think, and I tend to travel a lot.

And like all facilities, maintenance and renovations could be made accordingly to enhance the customer/member experience! However, after visiting and being treated so very well by upper management/supervision... it's this line staff who is just not up to par. The reception/front desk seriously has areas for improvement! As, they require coaching on how they speak, use facial expressions, and overall usage their body language to interact. Who are you to police and act poorly, roll eyes, and talk disparagingly about the customer when they walk away? Further far too much chit chat at the front desk, where is the busy work and checklists? Unfortunately, it's the ladies working from 4:00pm til closing at the front desk who have these attitudes. Really not acceptable! Call out if you are in a bad mood! Also management, if you have different hours i.e. your summer and winter hours, your line staff, front desk "concierge"should be advising this politely and always ready to greet the customer or member with warmth and respect. Not, "appeared bothered or annoyed " to have to do their job they receive a paycheck for!
