Art is subjective, and thus the appeal of any show will depend on you, your current tastes, your current mood, etc., but Winston Wachter regularly has shows that genuinely interest and excite me, by terrific contemporary artists working throughout the pop-art to fine-art gradient. The space is open, well-lit and modular enough to allow for works of many scales. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Winston Wachter also have a gallery space in New York. They have 6 week long exhibitions of contemporary art. I love that it changes with just enough time for people to truly enjoy and marinate in the art. I went in last night to see Piper O'Neil and Robin Layton's work. My friend and I were the only ones at the gallery (my friend had a hard time finding the door, it's the one that's facing the main road; you just have to push the door in). Not only does the gallery exhibit some of the greatest artists of our time but it's also completely free. We were gushing about how envious we were of the Robin Layton's ability to capture so much in one picture and how she was able to pursue her passions. We were about to head out but I wanted to spend more time with a specific photo and then seconds later, Robin Layton introduced herself. It was truly surreal; I was fangirling so hard (she was voted top 8 photographers by LIFE magazine). They have two main exhibit rooms but if you decide to explore further, they also have smaller rooms with magnificent art pieces. For example, my friend really wanted to see Christopher Boffoli's artworks that Winston Wachter exhibited last month. When we went exploring, we found 3 Christopher Boffoli pieces hidden away in the corner. They have a receptionist type of desk in the front and the girl there can answer any questions you have. They also have a few books for sale as well as guest log where you can sign up for their emails. The whole space, the lighting, the "ART" sign outside, everything about this place is amazing.

As a photographer who edits on a carefully calibrated monitor, I'm very particular about print…read morequality and color accuracy. I recently ordered a ChromaLuxe metal print with aluminum Dibond backing from Bumblejax Print Lab in Seattle, and the result is outstanding. The image was a complex mountain landscape with deep shadows, bright highlights, and subtle color transitions. Bumblejax reproduced the file beautifully--the tonal transitions, detail, and color accuracy match my calibrated display remarkably well. The print arrived in extremely sturdy packaging, and the overall craftsmanship is truly gallery quality. If you are looking for fine art metal prints or ChromaLuxe metal prints, Bumblejax is an excellent choice. I will definitely be ordering from Bumblejax again and would gladly recommend them to other photographers and artists.

If you have the ability to use another vendor, I suggest you do…read more Artech can be okay - some of the technicians/handlers they employ are good enough and will get your work on the wall with no damage. Unfortunately they engage in deceptive and shady business practices including attempting to charge for work that was never done. As a small business owner I hate to leave negative reviews but in this case I really don't have a choice. Artech damaged a $70,000 artwork of ours and getting it all sorted has been hassle after hassle after hassle including fraudulent charges and poor communication. If you are forced to work with them I suggest you watch them like a hawk and inspect your invoices even more closely. Two thumbs way way down, I just wish there were more options for high-end service providers in this space in seattle.

It's owner…read morewas there and could not have been nicer to talk me through many of the pieces and other questions I had. While other galleries aren't as helpful, that is not the case here. He has a broad collection of names you will recognize and others you won't, but you will surely ask.
