I used the studio for my wedding. Bridal shoot, ceremony, reception photos and video, the works. The photographers & videographer were nice and friendly and on time and took some good shots. The overall product is of decent but not great quality. The photos are not edited well. When I got the professional prints, my eyes are closed in 6 of them! Our big 8x10 group shot has weird contrast and does not show the true colors of skin or dresses. It took forever to get anything fixed/finished and sometimes more than one phone call to get a response from Cynthia. There were over 1800 images on 4 discs, and not in chronological order. Figuring out what to order was confusing and took a long time. And while many of them are very good there was a lot of garbage that I had to sift through to find the good ones. I really enjoyed the photographer, Jacques, who has a great personality and lots of creative ideas. My makeup looks cakey in the bridal shots and again there was no effort to edit them to make it look natural. My wrinkles are obvious! I am so glad I got a video. The videographer was courteous and professional and got some good footage. He gave me a mic to interview people and I really liked that part. But the audio in most of it is quite poor. A lot of it is shaky. And there was NO footage AT ALL of 2 of our parents even though they had speaking parts in the ceremony. JayLynn got all the main parts correct, but the overall product is disappointing. I can say from experience that other studios who charge similar prices deliver a perfect product for that once-in-a-lifetime event. JayLynn met and exceeded our expectations. They guided us from what to wear, to what to expect during our shoot, and helped us pick a picture package that suited our whole family. I needed a headshot for my employer very last minute, the folks at JayLynn were so accommodating. They fit me in to their busy schedule, and even edited the photo after the fact when I found out the background didn't match the other images at the company (I had bad infomation) and didn't even charge me for this. This is by far the worst photography business ever! Do not go to them for your wedding. They are fake, don't spend the quality time needed on editing your photos, take forever to get back to you, and make you feel like a burden for asking questions or wanting the editing done well, even if they were the one who made the mistake. Please take my advice, don't go to them and work with another photographer! Kristen is by far the most unprofessional of all. Calling herself a photographer seems like an insult to real photographers! Read the rest of this review if you want examples: When we were deciding if we should work with them, they seemed good because their pictures they showed us were good and they seemed like they knew what they were talking about with editing and everything you asked if they could provide they said yes. They pull you in by saying you get two photographers the day of your wedding, all the original pictures, and a free hair and makeup session for your bridals. Sounds like a good deal, right? WRONG! What they don't tell you is that the pictures they were showing you were from a different photographer who won't be taking your pictures and doesn't even work there anymore. The two photographers who will be taking your pictures would be Kristen, a girl right out of school who doesn't have any experience, is extremely unprofessional, fake, and who won't spend any quality time on editing your pictures and will give you crappy finished work and get annoyed with you when you ask her to do it right. And the other photographer, who although extremely nice, won't take candid shots because it's not his "style" and only wanted to take forced poses, he would take too much time on one single shot so you don't have time for all of the shots you originally asked for, and he smelled like cigarette smoke. Luckily I asked for a practice for my hair and makeup for my bridals, because Cynthia made me look like a drag queen. It looked nothing like the pictures I showed her. My experience with them was awful! The only reason we stuck with them was because we signed a contract. They made us feel like we were a nuisance for wanting our pictures edited correctly. On our engagement pictures, my face and arms were bright red and my fiancés face looked so white like he was dead. They rushed us to pick pictures, yet they wouldn't answer our calls when we had questions and took forever to get these done. One time I went in to talk to Kristen and when my head was turned she would roll her eyes at me and I saw that happen multiple times. Even during our engagements she stopped the shoot and took a personal call. She didn't listen to what we wanted and told us to do different pictures that she would edit later. Yet when we asked her to edit it later, she was annoyed and didn't have time for us. It was so awful. Even editing my pictures for my bridals, they didn't ask us questions and just assumed we wanted it one way. They cut off my train for my bridal picture, because it was "centered" that way. My skin looked like I was a umpa lumpa. Then for our wedding day pictures, after having such a horrible experience so far, I emphasized in detail what we wanted. Not only did they forget half of the pictures we wanted them to take, but they took so long on pictures with our family that we had hardly any pictures of us. We also wanted pictures of us and our friends during our reception and there were multiple times I would look up during the reception where they both were sitting down with no cameras in their hands and we were paying them! They didn't take the pictures we asked for and took no candid shots or fun pictures, like we wanted. Then after the wedding, when we were supposed to get our 90 edited and color popped pictures, I put in detail what we wanted because of how horrible it had been to work with them so far. They didn't even look at our instructions and took months to get our pictures back and they looked awful. Our skin had an orange tone, the white building looked orange, there was no color popping and our originals with no editing were a million times better. So my husband went in and sat with them for over an hour, after taking weeks to get them to work with us. He sat down with Kristen to show her what was wrong and she even admitted that she didn't really take the time and hurried through to get these done because she had other clients. Then when they finally got the pictures done and they were still not correct. We tried calling them and they never returned our calls. The only good thing about this company was getting the originals and Jacque was really nice. But even with getting the originals, it's not worth it if the pictures aren't what you wanted. I am seriously going to buy Photoshop and fix these pictures myself. Worst photography business ever! Please save yourself money and heartache. Don't work with them to be your wedding photographer. We had our photos taken about 5 years ago by JayLynn and very much enjoyed the experience and the quality of the photos. So when it was time to do it again, we I called JayLynn. The same photographer Jaq that took our pictures 5 Years ago was still there, so we requested he be our photographer again. Jaq was on time, funny and yet professional. Engaged with us to make feel at easy. He even got my husband to smile (well smirk) for the pictures. Which says a lot. The quality of the photographs were very good. My husband liked most of them, and we had a very difficult time picking our favorites. We liked the photos so much we ended up purchasing more than we anticipated. The whole family looks great in each picture. Jaq took the time to notice the little placements of our hands, fix necklaces, and hair placement. And it really comes through on the pictures. Terrible terrible terrible mediocre quality over priced. This place does a terrible job I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I like. They do not have an artistic eye nor can you choose from a variety of backgrounds. Very amateur work here. The photographer came in late and reaked like cigarettes. Not only was I offended but he was photographing my family including my 5 month old baby. We were completely rushed during the hours we paid for (sitting fee ). He was just snapping away didn't get any good pictures of my family. And what's worse they don't even photo shop or crop any photos before you buy them. So my foot was in multiple photos and a teddy bear. Just unprofessional as can be. You should look around before considering these amateurs. Oh an there idea of adorable is 200+ for a few sheets of photos not AFFORDABLE hahaha what a joke and a waste of time my family and I aren't paying for there crappie work. JayLynn & The Coverlook have gone downhill so much over the last 3 years & don't & won't change with the times & what customer's want. I don't want to pay a sitting fee & then when you ask about photo prices or packages or disks you always get the same response from Cynthia & Kelsey "Our prices for photos start at 49.95 & increase in price depending on what your order" You have to pry out of them if you can purchase a disk of your photos & this is the response you get "yes we do offer a CD with all your photos taken & it runs $300" What they don't say to you & are very deceptive about is they lack to inform you that not a single photo on that CD will be edited at all & you get the pictures just like they were taken. We were so upset, we have photo stands in our pictures and they were not quality photos if taken by Cynthia she takes maybe 40 pictures if you are lucky on the same backgrounds same pose all the time, they are stealing your money. And don't count of any sort of High Resolution Editing at all. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

"Great Photographers and very friendly as is the staff. A little expensive once you pay just your sitting fee, for those that I came with they found it to be very expensive and that they assumed photos came with the fee you are told to have the photos taken. One friend was very upset that it cost them in the end over $300+ between the photo session and then being told all of these prices and packages and felt they were being forced on them while they heard someone else on the phone being told totally different prices, they felt lied to and they didn't want a bunch of prints, they wanted a nice fully edited high resolution disk with all there images on it and where very upset to find once they got the CD, the photos were not edited at all and you could see light stands in there photos, they were really dark or really light and they only ended up with about 50 photos after spending that kind of money. I know they won't be back to the studio again after this and the cost, they plan on going back to there old photographer who is very talented in all styles of photography including glamour who charges flat set rates that always include a High Resolution Disk after the photos are taken and they are offered other items like printing services and framing but they are upfront from the start. Also the cost to have any of your photos edited is also extremely expensive and just another added cost and to be honest not edited that well in the long run. I love Jaylynn and have used them for years but I do agree with those who were in our party that chose to purchase a disk and how they feel the way they do. You really need to look around at other studio's and see what they charge and include in the cost of there photo packages and options. They also were really disappointed over the lack of background options, they had expected such a high end studio that is so well known to have more background options to choose from for photos in the studio. I know my family and I will be coming back to Jaylynn for our future photo's but do agree with our friends that you need to offer right up front the option of a CD when scheduling appointments and $300 for a CD with photo stands and ceiling lights showing and being posed in the same way over and over again and only getting maybe if you are lucky 50 photos is really over the top. We will see you back in the fall again though, if we ever get our photo CD that we paid for back in the fall of 2016 with hopefully better quality photo editing this time compared to our friends CD from the same time and same photo session. I would love to see offers come in the mail for Holiday's as well as TV commercial's showing off your talents and studio to just improve your image even more. It is sad to read a lot of the bad reviews on such a great studio but some have very valid points. I would love to see JayLynn out in the community more donating services to help raise money and awareness of health and veterans problems. Being shown as a sponsor at one of these events as well as taking photos at the event would show even more how much Jaylynn loves the community.
