A sleazy chain store, and few others, but I didnt find the one on one personal attention that Stylez for the Aisle has. The owner, Nina, is hillarious! Not only did she help me find the perfect dress, she is extremely honest and really funny! We had each other laughing the entire time I was there. It was a really nice break from the stuffy reception that I've had elsewhere. Nina has great taste, and she was able to hone in on my perfect dress in less than 10 dresses. I know that sounds like alot, but I am super indecisive. My fault! Seriously, the first dress she helped me pick out was the one that I am wearing for my wedding. Of course, I wanted to try on everything in her store!! I couldn't pick just one, because she had so many gorgeous dresses. I think the best part of my experience (besides the fact that she should do stand-up!) is the fact that she has dresses at her shop that I didnt see in every other place I had been to. 20 stars!!!

The only problem was I didn't (or didn't want to) factor in the tightness of the pants rental. In one of my signature gyrations, I lowered my body down towards the floor, only to hear a heart-wrenching popping noise. When I came up, the pants were assuredly cleaved in two, with only my badonkadonk and my passion for pop cover bands to blame. There seemed no way to fix the problem. I was forlorn. Compounding the issue, I needed to return the pants to the rental company in three days. Not only did the talented tailor at Tasia fix the pants with, what I can only assume is some type of sorcery borne from the dark arts, but he managed to do it in not just days, but HOURS. I can't say enough good things about this sartorial magician and this tailor shop. Feel safe in the knowledge that if he/they can fix a wardrobe malfunction caused by an uncontrollable derrière, they can assuredly produce any alteration you need.

I then asked how much she would charge me to hem my dress and she said starting price: $880!! Cash only is also very odd. Fast forward a few days, I took my gown to another seamstress who said she adds wristlets all the time and can easily hide the fabric in the seams. She charged me $20. When I asked how much she'd charge me for a full hem, she said: $220. I highly recommend going somewhere else. There is a great seamstress in west Hartford. This place is off.

I waited last minute to get a dress altered and it definitely was a huge mistake. First of all the pricing was extremely high, even for a quick alteration (deadline approaching) I was charged $120 to alter a dress almost the same price as the dress itself. I received the dress today, the work was very bad. Please do not bring your items here if you want good quality work. Do not be like me and wait last minute and have to settle for mediocre sewing.

Anthony was extremely kind, helpful and attentive to my needs. I had to have a wedding dress altered within two weeks of my wedding date and he was more than accommodating. Not only did he get it done within a weeks time, he let it out about 1 inch total, made a beautiful bussell with three ways to pin it and cut the length so I wouldn't trip over my dress. It was perfect. I know I can count on him to do what I need well and with care. I've taken other items to him which have been perfectly tailored. Definitely will continue to go here for all my tailoring needs.
