It's almost impossible to see a time of day when there isn't traffic. The infrastructure on the roads isn't supporting the recent population growth. There's been an increase in population plus tourists and the usual snow birds who live in the areas. It's getting noticeably bad. The state's going to have to budget to improve these things for safety reasons. The service stations aren't what they used to be. Fort Pierce was renovated but it still has long wait times. We were in a hurry because it was late and dark. We only visited the restroom, which was very clean and had plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. We felt safe in there unlike some other restrooms in other states. There was also an area to walk your dogs and stretch your legs. It is well kept overall, clean and nicely planned out.
