FINALLY. Proper, *authentic* Indian food in Missoula. (Speaking as a person of Indian descent here) This establishment is takeout-only and located inside a brand new, sparkling clean convenience store. Inside, each day, they offer a rotating menu of 3 fresh made-from-scratch North Indian curries (one vegetarian, two meat), samosas, chaat, and more. Gulab jamun and mango lassi for a little sweet treat. You can get a combo meal with fried rice/basmati, and two curries. OR buy things separately. They even have a full Indian tandoor (a giant specialty oven) which enables them to cook up tandoori chicken, and REALLY GOOD fresh naan. The basmati rice is the best I've had...no stiff, dry rice here, it's fluffy, tasty and reheats beautifully. So far, after multiple visits, we've been able to try saag paneer, channa masala, dal makhani. Everything has been fresh, flavorful and had the depth of flavor we expect from well made, comforting Indian food. I thought I did one?very impressed with what they had for food.last time I was in there,the hot deli was open noon to 8pm.the gas c/store open early in am until 10 pm mon-sat and early sun am until 9pm.pumps open 24/7 for credit card use.laundromat hours might vary despite being open daily. read more

My husband and I stumbled on this place driving back to Bozeman and WOW, what a hidden gem. The service was quick and friendly. We had an order of butter chicken and garlic naan. Everything was delicious. The curry had great flavor and a nice spice level. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and the portion size is very generous. I wish we had the same thing in Bozeman. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area. read more

The cleanest gas station/food stall I have ever visited off a highway and sells the best Indian butter chicken in western Montana outside of Bozeman. We have no options in Missoula for decent Indian style cuisine. Masala was the only option and I gave up. I would wait until we could go elsewhere, like Bhansa Ghat in salt lake city...which is the bomb...but if u crave a little something close...not really. It's solid enough for Missoula. The naan is made fresh per order and the servings and flavor outweigh any offerings in Missoula. My kids love Indian food and so do I, but I gave up eating it here until I found Jay's. Every Naan order is made fresh. If u want the best gas station stop off the highway they do it. If you want the best Indian food in Missoula they do it. read more

Friendly service, clean environment, great homemade chai. The experience was made wonderful because of the help, kindness, and assistance given by the friendly cashier with curly hair.
