Would give 7 stars out 5 if I could. My husband and I just bought a used truck and my husband travelled across country via plane to pick it up. Ben and the staff at Jay Malone went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. They picked him up from the airport and drove him the 1.5 hours to the dealership. No games, no bait and switch, the truck was priced more than fairly. The first thing this very honest dealer did was put a 9 page CARFAX report on the table for my husband to read about the truck's history. We do our research anyway beforehand and the truck has an immaculate history. The dealership had the truck detailed to a level where it appeared and smelled brand new. It was a breeze to complete the paperwork (less than an hour). We paid cash in full. The entire staff congratulated him and asked if they could do anything else to make his day easier. My husband was on the road in our new truck, driving back the 1600 miles to Maine! The one star reviews here are confusing as heck - can't imagine this dealership being even remotely bad and we've dealt with some bad ones in the past. Seems like most of the one star reviews here are from people with extremely bad credit and aren't upfront about it. read more

Don't buy a vehicle from Jay Malone unless you get a CARFAX report on the vehicle you're interested in. We bought a year old vehicle from them, and were told by the sales rep that the truck we were interested in (and purchased), that the previous owner was a regualar customer and usually only drives a vehicle for a year or two then trades it in. Fast forward 7 years, when we go to trade it in at another dealership, that the truck had been in a "severe" accident (top rating) shortly after the original owner had bought it new, and a year after we bought it. I would drive through the lot only on Sundays because the sales people are vultures. They will swarm your car and follow you as you just try to look at the new vehicles. There isn't much to look at though as they don't seem to be a high volume dealer so not a lot of options. If you enjoy the old school sleazy way of doing business, you'll be happy. But, you'll be happier if you consider other options. No longer living in Hutchinson I see the benefits of the more established dealers on pricing, options and service. I don't need a dealer that specializes in bad credit... give me one that specializes in a modern experience. read more

It's very rare that every person in a business is up beat, friendly and most importantly- just cares about what's going on with you. It wasn't just about the sale. It wasn't just about the money. It was about me being happy. Jay Malone Motors made sure I left happy. Happy about the price I was paying. Happy about the warranty I would be getting. What a joke of a dealership. Jay Malone is very unprofessional and rude. He sold an unreliable vehicle of which had over $5,000 worth of problems with it. He has continuously been rude and said "I don't want to deal with this shit" and hung up. After another problem arose when the warranty through this awful dealership said they would cover it, he hung up again and might not even cover it. What's the point of paying more a lot more a month for a warranty that might not even cover what it is said to cover? I wouldn't recommend getting a vehicle from here.
