Since we are now retired and all of our children and grandchildren live in the Placer County area, we decided to sell our house in the Bay Area and move closer to them. That meant finding a real estate agent to help us find the right house. After a good deal of online research, we decided to go with Jay Friedman. It is very obvious to us why Jay is a top agent with so many fantastic reviews. He is very attuned to finding exactly what his clients want. He quickly zeroed in on what we considered to be top priorities. The houses he showed us fit the bill perfectly. He was able to point out things in the houses that were of concern or that needed attention, so that there would be no surprises. He stayed in contact with us, was very responsive, answered questions quickly and was able to give us recommendations on qualified vendors in the area. Once we found the house that we wanted to be our "forever home" we gave him the green light. His deep knowledge and many years of experience made this new home purchase super easy for us. We highly recommend Jay for anyone seeking to purchase a home in Placer or Sacramento counties. You can't go wrong with Jay. That's for sure. read more

In this tough real estate market, we found ourselves with more houses than we need, so we decided to sell our property in Lincoln, California. After a failed attempt to sell it with other realtors, we finally found Jay Friedman who got the job done. Jay Friedman is a wizard at selling houses. His determination, marketing skills and hard work made it possible to sell our house within the expected time frame. He made sure the house was staged beautifully and found several potential buyers. His negotiation skills helped us reach an acceptable offer that was also great for the buyers. This is why Jay is one of the top realtors in Sacramento! read more

Jay is the best realtor we've ever worked with! We recently purchased our dream home and couldn't have done so without his help. During the search process, he was always available and responsive to our questions, many times going out of his way when we needed him. When we found the home we wanted, he expertly helped us draft a winning bid in a very competitive market, and negotiated favorable terms during closing, saving us potentially tens of thousands of dollars. This was far above and beyond what we expected and we could not have been happier with the results. Throughout the entire process Jay was proactive and knowledgeable, helping us navigate an otherwise stressful and complex experience. He made it a breeze and we count ourselves blessed to have met him. Highly recommend! read more

Jay was referred to us by our local agent when we were looking to buy a home out of area. Jay helped us buy a home recently in Rocklin and we couldn't have been more pleased with him and his team (Nicole and Haley) throughout the entire transaction. We only started looking about 3 months ago and being out of the area, it wasn't easy to drive up to for showings. So he accommodated by doing FaceTime viewing when we weren't able to make it. From the time of the initial phone call to now, I found him extremely easy to talk to and quick to respond to emails/texts/phone calls. I don't know how he does it with such ease as I know he has a lot more clients than myself. Yet, he makes it feel like he is only working with me! ;-) Stop thinking and call him if you are considering hiring an agent! You won't be disappointed. read more

Jay is everything you want in a real estate agent! He is available when you need him, which to me is the most important thing. He met me on a rainy weeknight after he drove at least a couple of hours, and was stuck in traffic due to an accident. Yet he got there to show me my dream house! He is very knowledgeable and helped me so much not just with the actual purchase; he also walked me through the house after closing and patiently answered every question I had about the workings of the house. I would highly recommend him and I will definitely be using him for any future real estate needs. Thank you Jay!! read more

Jay helped us buy our first house in West Sacramento. After getting outbid on 2 houses, and with time running out on our lease, Jay kept us calm and confident and ultimately got us into the house of our dreams. In fact, his insight and experience in negotiating helped us get our house for below asking! With Jay, you don't only get him but you get his awesome network for just about anything you'd ever want when buying or selling a home (lender, insurance, inspectors, contractors etc.). He doesn't just know real estate but he knows people; working with his referred professionals has made getting settled into our new home even easier. Jay was with us through other unforeseen challenges that caused us a great deal of stress, and we were very grateful to have a true pro to help guide us through it all. With his attention to detail, you might think that he had a former career as a contractor, but he's just that good. Not only is Jay very experienced and knowledgeable about all things real estate, but he's a very kind and thoughtful person; you can tell that he truly cares about his clients and wants what's best for them. He is also very dedicated, most of our challenges that required his prompt attention were around the holiday season when his family were at Disney world in Orlando. Nonetheless, he was very responsive and always had time to promptly give us updates and respond to questions. It's not hard to find a real estate agent, but it's not always easy to find someone that you enjoy working with. We are lucky that he was referred to us, and we are happy to consider him a personal friend; he deserves all of his success! read more

We interviewed close to a dozen agents before meeting Jay. I am the guy who reads every review looks at previous sales and asks online what other people have to say about a product. My wife says it takes weeks to get any decision done but its always the right one. We looked for the Agent with highest customer satisfaction and largest volume of sales so we could be sure we had the best agent for home. Jay spent hours listening to what we wanted for life a house and the home selling experience. He offered tons of advice on how to prepare our house to make the most money but also set it up for a quick sale. It was clear to us that not only does he have the sales in Sacramento to support being the Top agent in the area but he had the right character and understanding to work with us. Jay worked with to develop a plan for the house that met the budget we had for repairs and upgrades. Jay has a massive rolodex of support crew that deployed to get jobs done that were out of reach of my skillset. In the end we raised the final selling price of the house by 35K and sold it in 3 days which in the end was what mattered most to us. You wouldn't go to court without a lawyer so don't dare sell your house without Jay. read more

When we interviewed prospective agents to sell our house, Jay was the only one who came with the numbers to back his suggestion for pricing. He obviously did his research before meeting us. He showed us what was listed in the immediate area and also a mile out so we would know what our competition was. He walked us through repairs to our house, helping us find contractors to do the work. When it came time for the open house, he really worked to make buyers aware of all the different possibilities there were to use rooms to accommodate their needs. Jay is very personable and outgoing. He loves what he does and it shows in the way he treats his clients. I would highly recommend Jay for your real estate needs. read more

I found Jay after my first agent failed on me. My house was on the market for 3 months before I put my house to Jay's hand. After my first agent, I have interviewed 5 real estate agents to make sure I found the best fit to sell my house in Roseville. Jay is one of the kind person you feel like you can trust the first time you talked to him. All other agents are typical "busines man" with a business plan. Jay is different, you feel like you are talking to a friend who is here to help. He is very easy to talk to when I have question and concern. This was my first time selling my house and he explained to me in each step. He gave me the best advice from the listing price, pictures to the showing of the house. If you follow his advice, you will surely be in a good shape in selling your house. Jay is a busy agents but he responds to every text and phone call in a timly manner. He took care of my house like his house. He also put his clients as his priorities. He spent time calling each showing agents for feedbacks and kept me informed. Jay made every single step of selling the house smooth and easy for me. When the first potential buyer's offer felt through, he quickly found another potiental buyer. Jay also went out of his way to check on my house after we moved out from house. That saved me a lot of effort/time driving back and fore from the new place to the old house. I am very happy that I found Jay as my listing agent. You will not go wrong with Jay! read more

Jay did an outstanding job with helping us buy and sell our home. In a tough sellers market, he was able to make our offer competitive and ultimately allow our family to be close together. He also went out of his way to coordinate a full remodel of our prior home, which was even located outside his service area! This was the main reason we were able to sell our home for 130k over asking price. Jay definitely goes above and beyond for his clients. One his best qualities is that he is extremely responsive and always picks up the phone or texts back. We would absolutely recommend him for all your real estate needs! read more

I recently purchased my first home and was having a hard time until I met Jay and his team! They are absolutely AMAZING! Was 100% transparent about the process of home buying and setting expectations. Jay took myself, my boyfriend and my mom to multiple homes and neighborhoods and was honest about everything. Good vs bad areas, work that would need to be done, ect. I feel so lucky to have had him, Sierra, Haley and Nicole by our sides with this. We have found our home and can't wait to start this next journey! Thank you sooo much!!! read more

I cant say enough good things about Jay and his staff. Jay has helped us sell several homes in the Sacramento area and they have all been a PERFECT experience. There are good realtors and there are great realtors. Jay is the guy you want on your team and a GREAT one. We moved here from Florida a few months ago and were referred to Jay by a mutual friend. His professionalism and communication though out the entire process was exceptional. Buying a house via FaceTime, while in Florida, 2000 miles away was a little (really) scary. Jay took the time to get to know us, what we were looking for and patiently answer our never ending barrage of questions. When our expectations didn't quite match our budget, Jay was honest with us about what our realistic expectations should be in this competitive market. These type of honest conversations can be difficult but Jay is a great communicator and able to bridge the gap and make otherwise difficult or stressful conversations comfortable. While I believe most realtors have varying degrees of strengths and weaknesses, Jay really has everything dialed in. While doing walk-thru's via FaceTime, he was able to spot issues and potential issues that I haven't seen other realtors catch. He walked us thru a potential kitchen remodel project and his ballpark budget estimate was spot-on. Once we found "the one" he went the extra mile writing the offer and negotiating on our behalf. When the seller asked for a 21 day close, Jay hustled for us and made it happen. All paperwork and documentation was organized and communicated timely and with absolutely zero hassle. He is the only guy I would trust to by a house from that I haven't stepped foot in again. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell. He will hustle for you and work hard to truly EARN your business! Thanks again Jay!! read more

Jay Friedman has been an integral part of my real estate journey in California. He worked with me on the purchase of my wonderful little home in 2011, and guided me through a few potentially dicey decisions throughout the years. When I decided to sell and move to Washington, he was my first call. He was, as usual, super professional, friendly, ethical and really easy to work with. He kept me in the loop every step of the way. Our transaction went as smoothly as it seemed possible, just like the first time. I completely trust Jay and could not recommend him highly enough. Definitely five stars! read more

Jay Friedman was such a pleasure to work with. He helped my ex-husband and I work through the process of selling our house in Roseville during our divorce. He was very personable and honest, and we both felt instantly comfortable and confident working with him. Jay's knowledge and expertise was invaluable, especially as we were dealing with a volatile market. He was very honest about what we should expect and provided several options to us as far as work that needed to be done on the house, timelines, etc. Jay was also very responsive and accommodating with our busy schedules. I really appreciated how he was willing to go the extra mile for us every step of the way. I highly recommend him, and will definitely work with him on future real estate transactions. read more

We found Jay by searching the internet and reading reviews. He got such high reviews that we decided to go with him. We were not disappointed. He was super easy to work with, responsive and knew what he was doing. He made suggestions as we were prepping to sell our home. We followed all his suggestions and we sold our home in one weekend. Stop looking now and go with Jay. If there was an option to go with more stars for a rating I would, super awesome guy and an awesome agent. Thank you Jay again. read more

I decided I needed to look into buying a home when my apartment complex upped my rent nearly $200. I did not want to face a similar situation again in a year, so the hunt for a home began. I was a first time home buyer and didn't really know where to start. I was recommended Jay and after a quick Yelp search I was more than comfortable contacting him. I explained to Jay my situation and how overwhelmed I was with the prospect of house hunting. He reassured me that that is what he is there for. After speaking with Jay a few times on the phone and we arranged to look at houses. In looking at houses, Jay has a wealth of knowledge and good advice. He is able to point out loads of helpful information that I would have not otherwise noticed or even considered. It's as if he is always thinking two steps ahead. With all his experience, he is easily able to identify issues that need addressing and give you a guesstimate on how much it would cost to resolve the issue. Jay listened to what was important in a house to me, he never tried to push any house on me, and he painted a realistic picture of what the difference in house prices means monthly. He knows the neighborhoods here and which ones a single female such as myself would be wise to avoid. Jay was extremely easy to get ahold of throughout the whole process. He is quick to return a phone call and even quicker to respond to text and email. That sort of thing really comes in handy when you have odd questions regarding home buying at odd hours. He takes his time to explain the different aspects of home buying. Jay will not make your decisions for you, but he will stand by your side and provide you support and insight while you do. In the end, Jay found me the absolute perfect house. He has my eternal gratitude! I am so elated to own the little slice of heaven and I could not have done it without him. I would not hesitate to recommend Jay to my friends and family. I know he will take amazing care of them, just like he did me! read more

Services: Full service Professionalism: Excellent Communication: Outstanding Beginning to end process: Effective & Efficient Knowledge & Experience: Expert Strategies: Seasoned When I decided to list my property for sale, I had set certain expectations, which were high. Our paths crossed when Jay was referred by my trusted property manager of 7 years. The property needed some minor work done before it can go on the MLS. Jay communicated them very clearly and provided a list of things that needed work from most crucial to good-to-have. The communications in between the general contractors, Jay and myself were flawless. Jay handled each and every task as they were his own. He took 100% ownership of tasks and acted on my behalf to the best of my benefits. Let me emphasize his communications skills, he made sure I was 100% aware of each and every step of the process of selling the house. As much as I want to give all the credits to Jay, which he very much deserves them, but this was all God's glory. His plan to have Jay and I cross paths. This is the second time we've used Jay for our real estate needs. He helped us sell our rental house and made the process so easy! His referrals for painters, handyman, staging were all great and reasonably priced. Jay is amazing!! I was planning to purchase my very first home and my coworker recommended Jay. I "interviewed" a couple of realtors and I immediately knew Jay was the one. He knew what exactly I wanted, my needs, and never forced anything. He was super friendly that I felt like I was talking to my friend. Jay helped me find my dream home, we put an offer (by the way I think he had a really good strategy), and I got the house! Jay made every step so smooth and I had no surprises or hiccups at all. Jay was very detail-oriented, professional and worked every angle for me. His communication was great and he was always available whenever I needed him. If I ever sell my house or buy another one, I will definitely call Jay again. I highly recommend Jay to all my friends and family. He will make your dream come true. read more

Simply put, Jay is the hardest working Real Estate agent I know. Jay was, in this case, the buying and selling agent; therefore, instead of paying 5% commission on the sale of our house, we paid only 3% which put an additional $10,000 in the bank. Jay even helped us find a handy man to make the minor repairs found on the inspection. I read that Jay sells more homes than anyone else in the area, now I know why... Even with the COVID stipulations Jay made it easy to see homes and went out of his way to get answers from home owners on questions I had for them. We are purchasing our 1st home with Jay. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with. We found a house in the neighborhood we wanted to live in, and other listings sold fast. I called him and he made time for us the following morning. We looked at a few other homes in the area, but ultimately decided on the the one we found online. Jay worked his magic, and even though our offer wasn't the highest the seller accepted ours. He got a feeling from the seller and suggested the terms he thought would seal the deal. He wrote a nice letter along with the offer. We are now in escrow and Jay has always been available by phone, no matter what time. He even worked until 10:30pm with the listing agent ironing out the details of our offer. We have worked with Jay now on the selling of one home and the purchases of two. He was thorough and willing to walk us through the extensive process and paperwork, again with a consistently good attitude. We have referred him to anyone that we hear is selling or looking to buy and would continue to pass on his name and information in the future. As newly engaged first time buyers, my now husband and I had no idea what to expect when it came to buying a home. We didn't even know where to begin. Luckily, we were referred to Jay through our lender. Upon meeting Jay I knew we had hit the jackpot. He completely exceeded our expectations by being warm, inviting, and making us genuinely excited about buying our first home. He has a unique flare, making him an unforgettable person. The whole process of buying a home felt like a fairytale montage you see in the movies. We have Jay to thank for our wonderful experience. He truly cared about making sure we got the home we wanted. Wow! "Impressive" is the word we would use to describe Jay. We were referred to Jay from a Real Estate Agent in Boise Idaho who had told us he could help us sell our house quickly as we were considering moving to Boise to be close to our mom, but later decided to sell our house and get a bigger place so Mom can move in with us. Imagine that, his reputation as a top agent was far reaching to Boise! Jay had given us advice on how to stage our house. We followed his advice. When we had finished all the staging, we called Jay on a Tuesday and he said, "Ok, let's have an open house this weekend. He had someone come and take pictures, post them on the MLS Listing and Saturday Open House was a hit! Many potential buyers! Three days after the Open House, we had offers and the house was in escrow. We have sold and purchased homes in the past and have had Real Estate Agents working for us, but NONE of them compare to Jay. He is in a league of his own! He responded to our calls and texts every time within minutes. Sometimes I would send a text late at night because something came to mind and I thought he would probably respond in the morning, but he always responded right away. Impressive! While preparing the house to stage, whenever I asked him for recommendations for a handyman for repairs, beautifying yard & garden, garage door repair, counter replacement, Jay had resources that were very reasonable and they did a great job! We had a couple of complications that were resolved quickly. There was a complication with the buyers' mortgage company, Jay helped to resolve that too with a recommendation to the buyers. Jay helped us find the perfect house that will make it comfortable to move our mom here with us. Jay is the best Real Estate Agent we have ever had and we highly recommend him. He listens to what you want with his heart and works to make your dream come to life. He is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, resourceful, a great problem solver, and extremely responsive. Jay sold our house in May 2014, and it was a total 180 from the experience we had with another realtor when buying it just two years prior. He was really great, attentive, and has good judgement. Consulted with Jay about selling our house in Auburn on 2 acres. We were very undecided about the process but wanted to get his expert opinion as he came highly recommended to us! We love our home, our land, our schools, but just thought we wanted something more new, modern and spacious. He came to our home, spent well over an hour with us and convinced us to stay in our home and remodel instead because ultimately, that was what would make us happiest. He also offered us the name of his contractor to help with the remodel! What kind of realtor does that?? The kind who genuinely cares about his clients and not the $$! Needless to say, when we do decide to sell in another 5-10 years, after our kids are gone, we will have no doubt who to call for the selling of our home! read more

We were terrified to buy a house (first-time home buyers) and Jay made the process effortless and easy to understand. Jay works hard for his clients as he did for me. I live more than 800 miles from the home I sold through him. It was a luxury home in a rare community. He worked hard at getting it all setup and there was a lot of work to do. He went far beyond what a broker does for a client. He managed contractors. He picked up parts for fixes. He coordinated all sort of contractors in our house. At the end of the day, he sold our home for a price that far exceeded the previous sale in the neighborhood, setting a new standard in the neighborhood...I bet the neighbors loved that! He keeps cool, focused and and a fighting machine for you. He is professional in his presentation and thoughtful as well. He just doesn't come up and through comparable at you. He truly analyzes each sale and what makes it comparable or not comparable to your home. I would use Jay every time! Thanks Megan for introducing him to me! read more

Trying to find the perfect home is no easy task. We originally worked with one agent who clearly wasn't family friendly. My significant other suggested Jay. Reluctantly I agreed to meet Jay as I had previous bad experiences with the home buying process and the agents in the industry. Upon meeting Jay, I realized immediately that he was different. He was truly engaged in finding my family a great home. He didn't mind the excitement and questions from our kids, no matter how silly. At every house, the kids would ask for Jay to show us around. He made our kids part of the process which was truly a quality I didn't realize I was even looking for. Jay was a blessing in our whole experience and worked hard to find homes that lined up with our 'wants.' Throughout the process, Jay kept us apprised at all the small details and timeframes. He was keen on the pro's and con's of the neighborhoods, the houses, the streets and even feng shui! We would without a doubt recommend Jay to all of our family and friends interested in purchasing or selling. read more

We found Jay through a friend that recommended him for his outstanding service and job he helped our friends with. We are from the bay area SJ, and housing market is ridiculous. We gave Jay a call and decided to house hunt in Elk Grove Ca. Jay drove an hour from Roseville Ca every meeting to meet us. I am a first time home buyer and although I did my homework and research, I still had a lot of questions and insecurities of what we wanted. So many must haves and donts, on the bucket list. Oh I should mention my wife is an HGTV fanatic, she watches all the shows from property brothers to fixer upper, men she was hard to please. Jay also accommodated my elderly inlaws to have a junior suite on the firstfloor. Jay, had a lot of knowledge and patience, he gave us a real answers and gave his thoughts on the houses we saw. I was glad he was on our side, he pointed out things that I would not have seen. We wanted a move in ready and as much as little maintenance needed before the move. I wish I can say everything went well but it didn't. 3 days before closing we found out that the sellers owed money on the property and could not come up with the cash to bring at closing. We were devastated, Jay was also furious. The cherry on top is that my family was going to be homeless in 15days because I already submitted my notice to vacate to my landlord and my landlord already had tenants lined up. After a day of heartache and nightmare, a light appeared ( angels humming, flashings lights bells and whistles) Jay with a smiling face said "Lets make this happen". Jay volunteered to surrender a huge portion of his commission and I had to cover rest. Although I was clinchin my pocket it was the only way to get our dream house. In the end Jay went above and beyond to get us our dream home. We appreciate what Jay has done and would recommend him to anyone and my family. Thank you Jay Friedman, I came out with a house and a friend. I am sure the seller also thanks you for bailing them out!!!!!! read more
