The quote I signed from 3D also stated: "once this agreement is signed, no adjustments can be made ... to any of the above items." Despite this, after I signed the contract and after 3D took delivery of the granite slabs I selected from the wholesaler, 3D told me that they messed up the math on the amount of square feet in my countertop and that I would need to pay $1,700+ more than the price I approved -- despite the fact that 3D's own contract states that there could be no adjustments. I attempted to reach a satisfactory solution with management, but learned that 3D believes its customers are responsible for 3D's own math errors even though -- a. 3D's sales guy had 25 years experience in the business -- b. the contract did not provide any square footage so I had no opportunity to see that 3D made a math error -- c. 3D's own contract indicates no adjustments could be made. As customers, we rely on the accuracy of quotes provided to us in order to make decisions. 3D had the requisite experience to do the math correctly the first time and quote a larger price to me before I signed the contract -- and then I would have the opportunity to select a different fabricator. This business practice of providing an erroneous quote, only to demand the customer pay more after service has started is wrong. I am curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with 3D Countertops. I also learned in this process that 3D charged me 40% more for the slabs than what 3D paid to the wholesaler -- and this was on top of the cost to fabricate and added cost for 3D's alleged math error. In short, I paid a 40% mark-up on the materials and then was asked to pay about 90% more than the original fabrication cost quoted because of the alleged math error. That's a lot of missing transparency. The fabrication part of it was good. The business part of it and missing transparency was horrible. Find another fabricator.

I posted many photos of just some of the issues we have with these two companies. Neither "The Reed Group or Tim Price with Quality Cabinets will make any attempt to redo my cabinets or refund our money. We spent a little over 50,0000.00 on cabinets and they are the worst cabinets we have ever had or seen. We have talked with both contractors on many occasions and neither will even discuss trying to make this wrong right. I would never recommend either of these contractors. We will have to bare the cost to have our cabinets redone. I have since spoke with many people who are having many of the same issues with their cabinets. We have paint chipping every where, the paint is so thin you can see all the wood grain, no clear finish to protect the cabinets, seams are coming apart, we have cracks running in all of the wood, my hood has a huge crack running up the middle, the joints are all exposed to moisture and water (Please see photos).
