We were excited to hear that they opened up a location at Plaza. Now, we don't have to drive up to HMart. The taste of the gimbaps and toppokis are consistent and the food comes out quick. Our favorite are the rose toppokki and bulgogi gimbap. Also a plus that they offered a bento box for $15.99. Such a good deal.

The WORST Tteokbokki ever. I have tried Tteokbokki from many other places including Jaws(another location), but Bonita one is the worst I have ever had. No flavor, it is just bland, the sauce texture is weird, how come this quality of food can represent the franchise brand? so disappointing. This is my first time writing a bad review on Yelp. I am writing this review bc I really hope they improve the quality of their foods.

Inside food court of West fields Plaza Bonita Mall. They are so and offering free samples. I ended up trying the Bulgoli Katsu Gimbap. It was delicious...i can't wait to try the rice bowl next!

My daughter loves gimbap and was super happy when this opened in the mall. It seems like a much healthier alternative to mall food. She ordered the spicy pork gimbap. Was made really quickly. She thought it was super fresh and flavorful! She loved it!

    Updated menu

The rose tteokbokki was decent! I went to this location to try the kimbap, but unfortunately the cashier told me the menu had been updated and they were removed. Service was fine and I got my food pretty quickly.

My experience with Jaws Toppoki could have been a lot better with some simple changes but unfortunately it wasn't great. To start the food was a bit bland and flavorless, when I hear bulgogi, I expect a delightful succulent beef full of flavor and glazed in sauce, however this one seemed a bit rubbery and bland. The gimbap was alright but did not seem fresh at all, it seemed as though it came frozen. I was told that the slushy was a tea but it tastes like some sort of licorice root, which I don't mind, but I would have liked a heads up on. The service was friendly but they unfortunately seemed to lack knowledge about their own menu which was quite frustrating when you don't know too much about the options available. Speaking of the options available, half the menu was unavailable, I was told they were switching up the menu, but I saw nothing about that on the website and was disappointed to see when I drove all this way. This location was in a food court, which may not be for everyone since it may not be very comfortable, but is convenient.

So dank! The bulgogi bowl is a great value and so good! Such a great addition to the food court. Now I go out of my way to come eat here.

Been searching for good Kimbap as good as Danmooji in Georgia and this place is the closest I could find. The tuna is always my go to!

Super simple ingredients, nothing heavy, just clean and tasty. The side dishes were so good too, those braised potatoes? Yeah, I could've eaten a whole bowl of just that. Perfect seasoning, 10/10 would snack again. I definitely asked for seconds LOL. The customer service was great. Everyone was super nice and fast, like "oh wow my food is already here?" fast. Inside is a little smaller than I expected, kind of cozy but maybe don't bring your whole family reunion small. But still cute. Overall, I'd totally come back. We were seated immediately and ordered the following: Bibimbap Galbi short ribs Chive pancake Chicken bulgogi Spicy tofu beef soup Food came out at a decent time. Food was good. My BFF didn't care too much for the bibimbap. I wish there was more sliced beef in the soup. My son loved the galbi. The chicken was tender and had the right amount of sweetness. The side dishes were a nice touch. Service was prompt and the place and bathroom were clean. I would eat here again if I was craving Korean food.

Lots of options for the regular AYCE menu, we didn't feel the need to pick the premium menu. Favorite meat was the bone-in marinated short ribs which was juicy and had great flavor. Favorite side was the japchae. Sides are served by a robot who arrives to your table and waits for you to complete the drop off by tapping the touchpad to indicate that you grabbed all your sides. I wish they served fountain drinks with comp refills but I do appreciate that their menu indicates that their sodas are canned. I've also been to other kbbq places that offer more options to create your dipping sauce too. These things would've made for a better experience but overall, we enjoyed our meal and I'm glad there's a good kbbq spot so close to home!

We just stood there waiting until I informed him we are not together. The meat was good but changing the grill seemed difficult unless I waved someone down. It was not too busy for a Thursday night not to pay attention. The miso soup was old and salty, fish cake also fishy and not the freshest, potato salad was sweet and tasty too sweet. Not coming back, disappointing for what I paid and sat thru.

Favorite place to eat Korean fried chicken in San Diego on Mondays and Tuesdays for their $1 wings…read moredine in deal. The deal is up to 12 wings per person which is great because after 6 wings - dipped heavily in ranch sauce - I'm full. Deal doesn't come with any sides like radish or rice and costs extra. My go to spicy wing sauce is yangnyeom. The Littles (who normally don't like very seasoned or saucy things) surprisingly liked the 3 non spicy flavors. Bulgolgi fries is overall crispy and tasty but has little Bulgolgi in it. Japchae was underwhelming. Parking sucks but it never takes me more than 2 minutes to find parking. I've never had to wait for seating but I've seen that wait times can be from 30 minutes - 1 hour at peak times or with large parties.

You are also able to take it home if you don't finish but it is way more than enough. There was a small wait and the servers Annika and Kyla were attentive and responsive. We tried all flavors of the wings. All 3 of us had different favorites but I'd say all the flavors were pretty good and there wasn't a flavor I disliked. Their tteokboki was sooo good. I really enjoyed the flavor and so far my best I've tried. Other places are too sweet or has too much overpowering gochuchang. This place is by far my favorite for tteokboki. I really didn't like their takoyaki though. Too much flour/dough and they were not mindful making it since some pieces only had 1 piece of octopus while some piece had none and was just straight up flour. I'd come back for their wings and tteokboki though.
