I called the office to see if they took my new insurance plan (I asked twice just to make sure) and they said they did, so I signed up to see Dr. Nass. After my phone call I decided to double check with my new insurance to make sure the receptionist was correct, as it turns out they did not accept my insurance. Problem Number 2 - I found a new ENT that took my insurance and meet with him. Everything worked out fine but my new ENT wanted to see some blood work that Dr. Nass had me take in the fall. Long story short after 2 weeks of trying to get my blood work sent to my new doctor, they never sent it. As far as Dr. Nass goes, he he literally the best of the best. If you do your homework you'll see that he has tons of awards and great reviews. I trust him 100%!

Surgery was at NYU Langone - great staff there too. After care was easy (which I didn't believe him at first). The situation was that a 30 minute ordinary ENT office visit warranted a $200 bill because of insurance policies that are outdated. The blame should be put on insurance companies. I'm not saying that this situation could not be avoided. If anything, I could have asked about the procedures and their cost before permission was given to perform the procedures. (It would be nice if the doctor could give a disclaimer of the price before performing the procedure as well.) The lesson learned is to take your health in your own hands! The system is not as transparent as it should be and if you ever feel any concern or ambiguity, just ask. If you read my first review, Dr. Osterweil was absolutely fantastic. Even after this debacle (in my opinion), he and his biller explained all the charges to me and also sympathized with my displeasure. What can you do? The government really needs to get on this healthcare reform.
