Anyway, I established care with a new psychiatrist at Washington University about 10 months ago. The immediate and tremendous difference in care was almost a culture-shock to me, because I did not realize that it could be this great. I had nothing else to compare to previously, and I just assumed the care (or lack thereof) I was receiving from DePaul was the baseline, or "the norm", for every psychiatric practice. If you have issues with this office, which based off the 1.7 star rating, I'm assuming most of you do, PLEASE make the jump and give yourself the care you deserve. Find somebody else within your network. I was driving home from work today, and I could not help but be come on here to let people know there are other options. BETTER OPTIONS. I never would have thought changing providers would actually improve my mental health. Give yourself the care you deserve and dump DePaul Psych Care. Have a blessed day! I routinely would run out of prescription and the pharmacy wouldn't have the updated prescription. They would have to reach out to get it filled and at times I would have to call their office to get them to send the prescription over. Every bill I have received has different coding, even though every visit has been the same with exception to the first one. I have been trying to get my September and November bills fixed for months. Their billing department is outsourced to a third party, but you have to contact the provider for any billing issues. I've been sent to the same voicemail by the front office without return calls about a dozen times. Then, I tried to reach them through the appointment extension to at least tell them why I won't be scheduling any more appointments. Diane transferred me mid sentence to the same voicemail.

My family member was admitted to this facility, and I am honestly stunned at how far downhill it…read morehas gone. This place is supposed to help people with mental health issues, yet the staff acts like they can't be bothered to do the bare minimum. I called three separate times trying to speak with my family member's doctor, and every single interaction with the nurses was rude, dismissive, and filled with some kind of superiority complex. They acted like relaying a simple message was an outrageous inconvenience. They made no effort to communicate with family, no effort to understand the full situation, and absolutely no effort to provide support. And to make matters worse, when my family member was finally released, they were sent out the door with no follow-up plan, no referrals, no resources--nothing. For a mental health facility, that is beyond unacceptable. When visiting, the front desk staff was polite, but the technicians were just as rude and uninterested as the nurses. And the facility itself? Dirty, neglected, and looking like the janitorial staff quit months ago. For a place that claims to support mental health, it feels more like a warehouse holding people until the clock runs out. A glorified adult babysitting center--nothing more. This used to be one of the top facilities in Missouri. Not anymore. Whatever pride, quality, or leadership it once had is gone, and it shows in every corner of that building and every interaction with staff. Something has seriously gone wrong here.

I am disappointed I chose this doctor to treat my child. He provides little to no follow up care…read more In the past four months, he has cancelled appointments four times (I'm told by the office staff he is "out of town/out of the office"). We have to wait a month for the rescheduled appointment which he ultimately cancels. This lack of follow up care has left my family feeling alone and helpless. I should have fired this doctor sooner. The office staff is the unfriendliness staff I have ever encountered, but that can be overlooked if the doctor is effective. When I begged to see another doctor in this practice after our third appointment was cancelled, I was told that was against the policy. Others I have spoken to in the field of mental health have told me they are aware of this doctor's reputation. I wish I had known this sooner.
