The warranty does not cover diagnostics for major issues like the vehicle not starting on a random basis? What a scam and dis-service from a supposed service department. They were unable to diagnose or repair the issue in-house and subsequently sent the vehicle to the nearest dealership. At the time, I was expected to work near Detroit, which became impossible due to the breakdown. I was provided a loaner vehicle--a Chevy Impala with worn tires during winter conditions--despite the possibility that I could be required to drive several hours on short notice. For several days, I received no updates regarding the status or location of my vehicle. After initiating multiple follow-ups, I was repeatedly told, "I don't know," until I escalated the issue to management. Matt, the manager, was professional and communicative and ultimately confirmed where the vehicle had been sent. I had a safe in the trunk of my vehicle containing valuable items. Unfortunately, I was unable to retrieve them because I was unaware of the vehicle's whereabouts. To avoid further delays, I personally contacted the dealership and received clear information within minutes--something Blue Knob had been unable to provide after multiple days. By that point, the condition of the loaner vehicle required new tires for basic safety during a 5-6 hour drive. Once my vehicle was finally repaired, I was still required to wait for Blue Knob to retrieve it before I could do the same. During my visit to the service center, I overheard staff making disrespectful remarks regarding my request for safe tires on the loaner vehicle, among other comments. I was also informed that I should not have contacted the dealership directly and instead should have waited 3-5 business days for updates through Blue Knob. While Blue Knob presents itself as highly corporate and professional, internal communication and customer treatment do not reflect those standards. Clients should be aware that concerns regarding safety and timely communication may be met with dismissal rather than support.

After many headaches with other mechanics AND another suggestion from Dad to take my car to Risinger's this time, I did. I was well taken care of. Unlike other mechanics who charged me close to $1,000 for the same work, Mark Risinger has my car running like a dream at about 1/4th of that cost. To be specific, I needed my rotors replaced --- I heard it was going to cost a fortune to have done. However, Mr. Risinger must know where to get his parts at a reasonable price. His labor cost is more than fair. His shop is located off the S 6th St extension close to the food pantry and overpass so it's a little ways out of town. I need my car right away because it's the only vehicle I have. I found out this week that by letting him know that, he could schedule the repair at a time that he could get it back to me same day. I don't pay attention to stuff like when my inspection is due, whether or not my registration sticker is on my plate or if my insurance card is the right one or not. So, as a disorganized individual, I was so grateful that he let me know about the inspection, took care of it AND the sticker on my plate. Truly now I am road worthy and have no intention of taking my car to anyone else in the future.

He truly cares about his customers, and wants to save them money where he can. I am an IUP student, and I called Risinger Auto Repairs to see if I could get power steering fluid since I needed a specific kind for my Acura TL that Walmart didn't sell. I had gotten my power steering pump replaced a few months earlier, and it was now leaking from the hose. When I got there he gave me the fluid and told me that if it continued to leak that I could bring it back and he would check it out for me. He gave me enough fluid to drive back to my apartment, and said I could pay him for it later. My car continued to leak fluid, so I set up a time to bring my car in. He was very kind, and said that if I didn't think the car would make it to the shop that he could come and bring me more fluid. The problem did end up being with the hose, and he fixed it for a very reasonable price. When my car was finished, he drove it to me since I wasn't able to get a ride to the shop that day. He even mounted my license plate since I had been too lazy to do so, and it was sitting in my back window. I would definitely recommend coming here for any repairs you may need!
