She's very personable. Her office has a way that you can email questions & SHE personally responds to each email. Daycare called us today at 4:15pm to let us know our son had a 102 fever so I immediately called the pediatrician's office & even though they close at 3:45pm today, they still waited for to bring our son in. We went back at her 18 month well visit to get caught and I was told by Cuomo that I have to get ALL the shots from 15 month and 18 month that day. I said absolutely not my baby is not getting that many shots at once. The doctor's overly nice attitude changed up real quick and told me that I would be kicked out of the clinic if I don't get them ALL, so I happily said okay I will take all 4 of my children out of your clinic and find a new dr. She rudely said good luck with finding a new dr I don't know anyone accepting patients. Well guess what.. I found a wonderful new Dr who was shocked they were going to force that many shots on my daughter and lets me pick my own schedule. They are more worried about getting their payout from the insurance company than the safety of your children. If shots aren't on time they don't get their huge payout. Please do your research bc these doctors don't have your children's best interest at heart. I am so happy I spoke up for my baby. I'm glad this happened bc this made me do extensive research on vaccines and I have had my eyes opened. Sure, a General Practitioner or Internist can treat your kid, but many parents would prefer a pediatrician. Pediatrics PM is the perfect solution! With late, non traditional hours offered all days of the week, you can have your child seen quickly without breaking the bank. They accept Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and they have affordable cash options if your child is uninsured. I visited the open house this evening and I was very impressed with the facility. Imaging and lab services are offered so they can handle urgent situations as well as things like routine physicals and vaccinations. Another great thing I like is the hours. Your child can be seen without having to miss school and hopefully without you having to miss work. Most Urgent Care Facilities close by 6PM, making the only alternative Children's Hospital Emergency Room; sometimes taking hours before being admitted. The best part about this urgent care facility is that it is right across the street from the Children's Hospital Emergency Room Entrance (across from Captain Ds & McDonalds) downtown Birmingham. This way, if the doctor feels it is urgent enough to be admitted to the Hospital, no time is wasted walking directly across the street. We were able to see the Doctor and avoid a late-night emergency room visit in a fraction of the time with Pediatrics PM. Thanks!
