I had called a week before my cleaning to get the fee, they quoted me my cleaning fee, so I went today and expected x amount, but they also did xrays, which was not in the fee they quoted. I am going through a few things right now, so I told Kathy (the sweet lady that you pay) and she took off the price of the xrays (for now) until I get back on my feet. That was amazingly nice of her to do, as she didn't have to do that. I have been coming here for 14 yrs and they truly are great. They never try to do "add ons" or "upcharges". read more

I overpaid my bill, They havent mailed a statement in over a year. this was 2024. I found the overpayment in Oct 2025. and since then I ve been given the run around trying to get my refund. So I had to file a complaint with the BBB, and in court and to the Dental Liscensing Association. I'm still waiting for my refund. TW read more

I have been going to Jasper Dental for over 20 years of the 39 I've lived in Jasper. I've always had good experiences with Dr. A and her associates and staff! Do not go to this practice if a bridge or implants are needed. The bridge that was done for me had to be totally taken out and remade by another dentist causing me to loose a substantial amount of money as well as $8,000.00 for the replacement. Last visit was a couple of months ago. I'll never go back. On my first visit, I had X-rays and impressions made for a partial. After 1.5 months, I had not heard back from them, (I was forgotten). I called to find out the lab had lost my impressions so I had to go back in for more impressions. Why wasn't I informed long before then ? I also overheard my information being discussed in the hallway at one visit. A month later I was to have X-rays done again. The cover that they use to drape a patient with before taking X-rays was forgotten, then the overhead light wasn't working, then the senor for the X-rays wasn't working, (which was hit a couple of times and still didn't work), then I was transferred to another exam room to finish up the X-rays, (the sensor in that room wasn't working either). I was sent to this office by a medicare referral employed by Liberty dental which is affiliated with Anthem Blue Cross.. When I went for my appointment, the office had no record of my insurance with Liberty. I had been told by the Medicare referral person that my ID card would be sent to me by mail. Jasper Dental told me I. could come back with my card or be seen by the dentist right then. I chose right then since it was a 50 mile rt to the office. I paid for the visit $179.00 and was generally satisfied with the care I received. They told me I would be reimbursed as soon as Liberty paid for the visit. The office manager told me I would have to come back to the office (after repeated inquiries) in order to be reimbursed but only for what liberty paid , %106, not what I paid ,$179.00 , Yes, dentist got paid twice for one procedure. The office manager became hostile when I explained the problem I was calling about. One there odd thing happened...you know, when you go to a doctor or dentist, they always have their diploma on the wall? No one could tell me what dental school this one graduated from. 6 months later they called me to come in for the semiannual cleaning . I will NEVER GO BACK to an office where I was cheated. Call me a crazy octogenarian woman, but not stupi!d. Please don't think you can expect me to bend over just because I'm OLD !!! read more

A one star review is too positive for my experience. On my first visit to the office, and as a note, I was in discomfort, my husband and I received high pressure sales pitches for veneers that would cost eight thousand dollars each. This high pressure sales pitch was complete with every detail and was conducted in an office setting. I have already had orthodontic work, and although my teeth are not perfect, they certainly do not require 8K in veneers. The tech took a picture of me and then photoshopped another picture next to it to reflect how I would look with veneers. This was not requested, and I never asked about veneers, as I was there for discomfort. There is nothing like being given a message with a visual that, 'You are not enough, you need these veneers.' I believe my husband and I were targeted because we live in an upscale community. I went forward with a dental cleaning, and am sorry that I did. I was told a small portion of my gum line needed a deeper cleaning. This diagnosis came from the dental hygienist. This is very similar to the experience of another poster. This deep cleaning required more money and that I purchase an electric tooth brush from them. I feel that I was "upselled" into treatment that was not needed and the requirement of buying a new electric tooth brush from them was just over the top. Later they emailed me, requesting a review for their website. When I wrote a review that reflected my experience, and that was not positive, they deleted it. read more

I've been extremely happy with the quality of care I have received. It may not look like much from the outside, but the referrals I was given sent me to the best surgeons in the area and the work I had done in house was practically perfect. The receptionists are professional and kind and most of the assistants are equally pleasant. I dealt with two of the dentists (not the listed one on the door) and they were lovely. I also have anxiety and everyone was patient and understanding. read more

I recommended this practice to a friend; now I am so embarrassed to have done so. They advertised an exam, x-rays and cleaning at a given price, but after completing the exam and x-rays, claimed they couldn't do her cleaning before correcting something they had found. I certainly understand that; but why didn't they make that clear in their ad? Why did they charge my friend for the cleaning they didn't/couldn't provide? The upshot is: not only will she never return, and surely will share her experience with potential patients, but I, too, will no longer be a patient there. Two patients lost unnecessarily. read more

My husband apparently has periodontal disease. He realizes that insurance will not cover most of the periodontal cleaning. Jasper dental associates would not clean his teeth. They indicated that they would not do so as insurance frowns on a cleaning before periodontal cleaning. He wanted them to do the cleaning even if he had to pay for it himself in its entirety. This would allow for a second opinion. My belief is that they just wanted to push for the more expensive treatment. Will never go back read more

If a zero stars were possible that would be my choice. My husband has been dealing with Dr. Atkinson for 2 months and it has been horrendous. A requested treatment plan was never provided, teeth that were to be repaired now have to be removed because she "thought" they could be saved. This resulted in another round of removal and bone grafts after the first one and resulting in a longer time to restore the ability to eat. Initial prosthetic appliance was incorrect and had to be redone, the lower was not ordered when the upper was done and the periodontist was unsure why that would be. There has been no communication between Dr. Atkinson and the periodontist that she referred us to which has resulted in delays in the treatment and recovery. Now the lower appliance is finally in and they cannot fit it for over 2 weeks. We requested the appliance so we can take it to a new dentist for fitting and were refused even though this was paid for. Now we have to have a new appliance made (again at our costs) and wait for continuation of this treatment. I have opened a formal complaint with the Georgia Board of Dentistry. This practice is a nightmare and advise anyone thinking of using this office to save your money and find someone else. read more

Scheduled an appointment to have a teeth cleaning with Dr. Atkins, was seen by the tech for about 15 minutes before she found out I need a "DEEP" cleaning. The doctor came in and looked at my teeth for a good 20 seconds and proceeded to tell me everything the tech did. They then showed me what the bill would be if I went forward with the deep cleaning and I denied treatment an asked for a regular cleaning as that's what I came in for. I was told they cannot do the cleaning now and that this was a waste of a visit. But I still had to pay for Exam and X-rays. I do not recommend this dentist office! Waste of a visit and my time. read more

Very poor and unethical billing practices! Had a crown place on a tooth. They did not provide a quote nor tell me they did not accept my insurance. Ending up costing me over $600!! Took months to receive a partial credit, after calling multiple times and not having my calls returned. Still cost me over $400 for a crown! I have never paid that much. Do NOT go here! read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... I had a crown cemented on a tooth 12 years ago. Had it re-cemented less than two weeks ago, and it came off yesterday. Called their office, and they want to charge me again for the full amount. When it was cemented, the asst. did not even bother to clean or dry the tooth before cementing the crown back on. Also, when I originally went to the office to just have the crown cemented back on, they insisted on full mouth x-rays before they would cement the crown. 1 STAR RATING IS TO HIGH !!! This "Dental Practice" needs to be shut down. I came in for a simple filling and Dr. Anderson drilled out so much of my tooth that 12 days later the side of my tooth broke off because of over packing the filling and drilling so thin. Im not kidding. I was then told that I needed a crown to repair his work. Dr. Riley covered up for Dr. Anderson saying we told you if this did not work then you will need a root canal. I told Dr. Riley that if that much tooth had to be removed then why waste my money and put the root canal in.Her reply was they always try a filling first. I let them put the crown on and I ended up having to go to another Dentist because I kept have pain and I did not trust their work anymore. My new Dentist took x-rays and told me that the pain was from Dr. Anderson not removing a nerve and then he put the filling on top of the nerve.WHAT? My new Dentist ended up having to remove "ALL THE WORK" that was done from Jasper Dental and I now have 2 root canals done because they also filled another tooth and it was not done correctly. Jasper Dental wants me to pay them $2,300 for their shoddy work. We talked with Dr. Riley about the bill and was told to pay the bill or talk to her attorney who handles accounts not paid. "STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUTCHER SHOP AND GO TO SOMEONE WHO CARES TO HELP" Dr. Riley only cares about taking your money, while your in pain and justifies their wrong doing by talking sweet BS. After going to a real Dentist I now can eat and drink without pain. read more

Have been going for about 6 years. Excellent service, then about 2 years ago something changed. They are still great with my children, but with me its different. About 2 years ago the new tech told me I needed to start coming every 3 months for cleanings. This was after good check-upswith improving scores. I declined. The next cleaning the tech told me I had a decaying molar that needed crowned and showed me a photo of a black and rotted molar. I did not make an appt. then but after I left , things were not adding up. They had not took a photo, I could not feel the rotted area on my tooth with my tongue. I used a mirror when I got home. None of my teeth showed any decay. Next cleaning the (same)tech told me the bacteria growth was so bad ,I needed 8 antibiotic injections in my gums,and that by the way insurance won't cover and it will cost you 400.00 bucks. I declined. Next cleaning the (same) tech , fiddled with his tools and told me I had to have a deep below the gum line cleaning and he would not clean my teeth until after I had it done. I left. Recently I had an old filling fall out and went to them. They refused to touch me unless I pay to have the deep cleaning done first. I am finding a new dentist. read more
