Melissa Hunter is the best real estate agent in Ventura County. It's that simple. If you want a house in the area that is well suited for you, there's no other option. Melissa was the main reason we got our amazing house, and I don't think we would be living here without her. She made us feel like her only client, and kept us calm during every step of the convoluted and intimidating process of buying our first house. Melissa first stood out on getting back to us after reaching out on Yelp looking for realtors. It was easy to tell right away that she gets things done, which is absolutely essential in the cut throat and competitive real estate market in Ventura County at the moment. Melissa also took the time to get to know us to truly find a place right for us. On our first house tour, she had a very specific plan in mind to show us potential matches in different locations spread out around the area. It was mostly a fact finding mission, and it just showed how Melissa already cared about us and making sure we're happy in any potential place that we find. Good homes in our price range aren't readily available in this market, so we thought it would take awhile. We found our house in only nine toured houses all thanks to Melissa. We live about an hour and a half away from Ventura County, so it's not always easy to come out and see a home when it pops up, and speed is essential in this market. Melissa went the next day and took a video of the place to help us decide, and we submitted an offer just based on the video. Melissa helped us with the offer, and was absolutely essential as we countered three different times until it was our house. Melissa is very knowledgable about the market and the processes and kept us fully up to date on the other offers, and provided advice on how to make our offer the best possible for acceptance for each counter stage. Getting your offer accepted is extremely challenging, and that was only the beginning of this process. The 30 day escrow period is filled with landmines and potholes that Melissa helped us navigate expertly. We were thrown a ton of curve balls during the process, especially on the loan side of things, and Melissa was always there to chat, offer advice, and help as much as possible from the realtor side of things. We ended up not being able to close until 11 days after the original closing date because of the delay on the loan, but Melissa kept us at ease and on track with open negotiations with the seller so they didn't worry. We hit every disclosure date in plenty of time with Melissa in control, and even with all of the stresses, Melissa was always a calming influence. To show just how amazing Melissa is, her care for us didn't end when we got the keys. We had some issues pop up after move in related to our warranty coverage, and Melissa has been right there to help us file claims and stay on top of different service technicians. Melissa couldn't have done better in this whole process, as well as her partner Jason (who we never met, but he was always on top of all the backend processes, timing, and documentation). If you want a home in Ventura County, Melissa Hunter and Jason Walters are the only choice. read more

Jason is a wonderful person and great real estate agent. I'm so happy and thankful I found him!

Experienced, personable, and efficient are just a few words I would use to describe Jason Walters and his team. As a first time home seller, the process was a bit daunting as I was moving, cleaning out the old place, and trying to sell it but Jason was organized and had a plan in place that gave me confidence in the process. It didn't help that we were trying to sell the condo in the midst of a pandemic and during the holiday season. While you're wading through all of the paperwork, Jason and Co. work behind the scenes to list, market, and help organize any repairs needed. Jason walked me through his marketing plan and developed a timeline so I understood when things needed to be done. He and the team worked efficiently, but they were patient and friendly the entire time. I would definitely work Jason Walters in the future. read more

My sister and I inherited our mom's older house in a nice Ventura neighborhood. Unfortunately, the house was a "complete gut job" (neighbor's words) from yard to interior. We dreaded the monster time, effort, and expense required to make the house presentable. Jason showed us a better way. For a mere $4,000, Jason's workers ripped out the carpet, hauled away piles of debris, and cleaned up the yard. One week later, the house was sold ... for nearly $100,000 more than HomeVestors' initial offer. Jason, apparently, knows everybody in Ventura County with any connection to real estate. The best part ... My sister and I didn't have to lift a finger. Jason handled everything and updated us regularly. To top it off, Jason was a pleasure to work with. Jason is THE MAN for Ventura County real estate. read more

Jason Walters and Nicole Brigman moved mountains to get me into my first home during the covid-19 outbreak and lockdown. It was very apparent that this team knows what they are doing. They use automated systems to help keep you informed on the process and next steps. I must admit that I almost gave up on the property, but Nicole Brigman found a way to make it happen, against all odds and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! I love my home! Jason was great! He responded to my initial e-mail quickly, and came to see our condo and meet with us as well. He showed us similar listings in the area, and presented us with a binder full of those listings, as well as information on how much my home was estimated to be worth, and he even included his resume and tips on packing. We were very optimistic, and we could see that he not only loved his job, but he really knew his stuff as well. After he left, he took a few photos of the park across the street to put on the "coming soon" listing on his Facebook page. We got traffic immediately! I never would have thought to list real estate on Facebook! He worked with our schedule for showings, which we appreciated since we didn't want to inconvenience our roommate too much. He also gave us some good tips for how to best present our home. Aside from decluttering, his best advice was, "You're moving? Start packing." The pictures came out better, and it made the final weeks of this transition much easier, since most of our stuff was already out of the house. We also had leak and plumbing issues during escrow, among other things, and there were many times we felt discouraged that the sale wouldn't go through. By some miracle, we were able to close the sale. Throughout this whole experience, Jason remained positive and reminded us to relax. We very clearly got a, "Don't worry, I've got this!" vibe from him. Once we were in escrow, Jason reached out to other Keller-Williams agents in the area we were relocating to for assistance in finding me a rental while I looked for a home to buy. I was floored by the support I received, and although we changed our minds in the end and decided to move somewhere else, I am so grateful that he went above and beyond his duties as our real estate agent to ensure that we were taken care of at our destination. When it came time to pick an escrow company, I decided to go with his in-house team. The way he put it, he doesn't know how other escrow companies work, but he knows that when his team goes to work, they get stuff done. With all the repairs we had to deal with, and the HOA, I was afraid that escrow would drag on and on. His team worked until the last minute to make sure everything went through, and we closed right on time. My husband and I still intend to buy a house somewhere, but unfortunately we're going to be leaving California. It's a shame that we're leaving behind such a great agent. We truly felt taken care of, and that he was acting in our best interests. With that knowledge, we were able to stress less during a VERY stressful time in our lives. I'd happily recommend him to friends and family. Heck, I'd recommend him to strangers! If you're looking for a realtor in the area, you can't go wrong with Jason Walters. Trust me. He's got this. ;) read more

So happy I went with Jason! Jason is so professional and is on top of what's going on with the local real estate market. Jason and his team went above and beyond to help me sell my condo. Very very happy to work with Jason and look forward to using him again in the near future. read more

I could not be happier to have chosen this perfect team to help me buy my first home while still providing info and guidance even after closing. Jason and team were instrumental in my family and I being able to sell my father's home quickly. He was with us every step of the way, from coming to look at it before and letting us know what we needed to fix to maximize the listing price and make a quick sale to finalizing escrow which was a challenge for us due to some unforeseen situations with my father's estate. He was patient, helpful and really supportive which made a huge difference for us. I would most definitely recommend Jason to anyone that is looking to buy or sell a house in CA! Thank you Jason and team for all your help! We couldn't have done it without you! read more

If you are looking for a real estate team to help you sell or buy real estate in Ventura and the surrounding areas, I would like to whole-heartedly recommend Jason Walters of Keller Williams Realty. Jason Walters came highly recommended to me by a trusted Santa Barbara Real Estate Professional. When the time came to sell our home in Ventura, Jason was the clear choice to list with. From the first meeting to discuss selling strategy through the close of escrow, Jason was an exemplary professional every step of the way. I have had a fair amount of experience with RE agents buying and selling properties through-out my adult life, but no one even comes close to the level of service, integrity, knowledge and experience that Jason provided. Our place was a twenty year old home. Although it had good "bones," it needed some help to make it into a desirable, competitive property. Jason knew exactly what needed to be done and who should do the work. Since I did not live near Ventura, I needed an agent who had this kind of know-how and can-do attitude. Jason was not a stranger to a client like me who needed someone local to make this all happen. He and his team coordinated everything to get the home looking great and in ship-shape order. Plumbing, roofing, pest control, interior and exterior painting, landscaping, carpeting, power washing and staging - he had all the contacts to get the job done quickly and efficiently by honest hard-working people who charged very reasonable rates. They took an average decent looking home in West Ventura and turned it into a "Cream-Puff." This transformation amazed our whole family! This needed makeover allowed us to get "top-dollar" for the property and kept the "days on market" to a minimum. But what impressed me the most was that Jason considered that coordinating makeover project as part of his job as the listing agent. I've never expected or even heard of such "beyond the call of duty" level of service from any real estate agent. Then, Jason and his team put together a first class advertising campaign including a website complete with professional photos and videos from inside, outside and above the property. Even during the challenging times caused by a pandemic, Jason Walters sold our home in a relatively short amount of time. Throughout the entire process, Jason kept in touch with me, updating me as to the process of the make-over, listing and sales transaction. I've been a part of almost two-dozen real estate transactions in my life and I have never experienced such a fantastic level of dedication like this. Once you have hired Jason Walters as your Realtor, I'm confident that you will come to the same conclusion that I have - Jason is the finest real estate professional in the Ventura area that will make your RE transaction a pleasurable experience and an unmitigated success. Sincerely, Remi Nadeau read more

I could not of asked for a better person than Jason when buying my new home. We must of looked at 60 houses before an offer was accepted. I was the first one who lost hope and remember crying in Jason's car, telling him I wanted to give up. He never gave up on me or my search to find that perfect place. I remember him saying, I will show you one more place, lets go see one more place and that's the house we ended up with. He had faith where I lost mine awhile back.
