I had a great experience at Dr. Shook's office. My daughter's wedding was less than two weeks away, and I cracked my tooth. I wasn't in great pain, but I needed to take care of the tooth before leaving town. They set me up for an appointment on the upcoming Tuesday. I asked them to call me if anything opened up sooner. One of their wonderful staff members called me on Monday and got me in that afternoon. Unfortunately, my tooth required an Oral Surgeon to extract it. Given the urgency of my daughter's wedding, the staff at Dr. Shook's office went to bat for me. They called the oral surgeon's office, emailed them the X-rays, and explained my situation. I had to leave town in 6 days. It looked like there was no way to fit me in on such short notice. An hour later, the Oral Surgeon's Office called and squeezed me in for a Wednesday morning appointment. Perfect! That left time for my mouth to heal before the wedding and even before my long drive to Tampa. Every staff member there was friendly, understanding, and helpful. I have been a patient since 2003 and couldn't possibly imagine anyone else care for my teeth. Amanda has been taking care of my teeth and gums for 20 years and I am grateful for the care I have received. Dr. Shook and all his staff are patient care driven, always have been. I have some health challenges that unfortunately have affected my gums. Dr. Shook and Amanda's attention to my health details caught it early and their plan of care, information provided for self care as well as regular check ups has reversed the damage and kept my teeth and gums healthy. Today when we left- we were all please. Me I love the dentist so I always love when my teeth are freshly cleaned. My oldest was thrilled she is headed to ortho- we will revisit that topic. My youngest was over the moon excited. The extra mile Amanda goes to make each patient feel as if they are the only one. I was so glad when they could get me in to see Dr. Shook so quickly for an appointment and so "very impressed" with the reviews he had, versus the reviews for the dentists under my Medicare plan (especially since I would have driven 45 miles one way to see that dentist).
