I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to John McGrath. I found myself in an incredibly…read moredifficult and frightening situation as a single parent, trying to advocate for my daughter while feeling completely overwhelmed by everything happening around us. The school district was pushing to remove my daughter from her current placement and place her out of district, against my wishes and with complete disregard for my daughter's special needs and disabilities. I felt like I was fighting a battle I could not possibly navigate on my own, while dealing with a million other moving parts. Then I found John. I was referred to John by another attorney in the field & had retained John for advocacy, including assistance with IEP recommendations and attendance at CSE meetings, and was extremely impressed with the quality of his work and level of commitment to ensuring my daughter received the services she was entitled to. John drafted thorough, thoughtful IEP recommendations and legal memoranda, identifying potential shortcomings by the district, as they continued to ignore my daughter's diagnoses and deny her the services she was entitled to. As a legal professional myself, I have a high standard for attention to detail, legal analysis and preparation... John exceeded those expectations at every turn. He took the time to carefully review all of the documents and information provided to him, which were many, and came to each CSE meeting fully prepared and engaged. He was attentive, knowledgeable and focused on making sure that the recommendations and concerns were clearly presented and appropriately addressed. No one can prepare you for being on the other end of things as a client and as a parent, but John made sure to ease my worries. Ultimately, he was successful and ensuring my daughter remained in her placement and received adequate and suitable services for her disabilities. What stood out most was John's accessibility and responsiveness. He was available by email, text and phone, including after hours, which provided an invaluable level of support throughout the process. John is thorough, dedicated, responsive and genuinely committed to advocating for his clients. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any parent seeking knowledgeable and effective education advocacy. I will always be grateful to John for the way he advocated for my daughter and supported me through such an incredibly difficult time. I wholeheartedly recommend John McGrath. Having him in my corner made all the difference.

I rarely write a review about anything but have vowed to make it my mission to inform the public…read moreabout this lawyer Robert Vella. I can't even believe that in this day and age there still exists lawyers like him. He is a con man and the most disrespectful person I have ever met and his secretary Theresa is the same and so rude. I retained him because I am going through a divorce and he was very available to meet with me and accept my $5000.00 retainer, once that was done I pretty much never heard from this man again, he returned my calls only a few times and never took any action or moved forward with my case. Every time I call the office I am told by his staff and rude secretary that he is in court. He never returns my calls...is he so busy that he doesn't call into his office to check in? I've been yelled at by his secretary. I have never received an itemized bill from him. All he's done is take my $5000.00 and give me nothing in return but aggravation. I hired another lawyer and asked for the remainder of my retainer back and have just been lied to...as far as to say that I was told that a check and an itemized bill was in the mail to me over a month ago. I'm writing this review to try and save another poor soul from being taken by this liar. It really leaves a person in a helpless position. I am insulted that this man feels that he can just walk all over me and I don't know how many others like this. Like I said before I can't believe this goes on in this day and age, and that he can get away with this. I want justice!
