I would not hire The Pros Inc. (TPI) AKA The Pros Landscape Management Inc., owner Salomon Lopez…read morePerez (SLP), and I do not recommend them. TPI installed a new home lawn: removed grass & topsoil, replaced topsoil, & applied Hydroseed in 2023. Outcome is a "failed lawn" per SLP. I contacted TPI/SLP many times; they failed to perform. TPI demanded payment of the project balance before the hydroseed was applied. By 8/21/23, I sent photographs of dead patches and dying grass. TPI said they will "fix" the lawn; TPI was a no-show on 8/26/23. I emailed photos on 9/15/23 showing dead grass and continuing deterioration. TPI came to hand-sprinkle seed; no hydroseed; did not replace dirt. I sent more photos on 10/27/23. On 11/18/23 SLP says he will have a crew come next spring [2024] "to rake, spread new soil, reseed, fertilize so we can help the lawn grow and thrive for the season." SLP never followed up or showed up. On 5/1/24 and 5/3/24, I called/emailed SLP and TPI and he visited the lawn on 5/20/24 and called the lawn "a failed lawn." SLP arranged a soil test via a different landscaper; results on 7/21/24 show the TPI soil provided has very low cation exchange capacity making it difficult for the soil to support growth of healthy turf. That company recommended the soil be replaced and re-seeded. A second sample analyzed by a university laboratory reported that the electrolytes in the TPI-provided soil contained undesirably high electrolytes (Mg, P, Al), out of range of desired levels to grow and sustain grass; 53.4% of the TPI dirt is gravel, not compatible with growing and sustaining a lawn. Naked eye can see pebbles. As of 8/6/24, TPI-SLP failed "to fix" our "failed lawn" or refund partial payment. TPI delays/ignores customer's request to complete their work and keep their word to fix it. TPI urges customers to post only positive reviews, so prospective customers should beware reviews may not represent TPI's customers' satisfaction with TPI. On 8/21/2024, TPI and SLP wrote that that if, and only if, I remove my negative reviews and withdraw my lawsuit against them will they make an attempt to fix the lawn, and they demand their rating be raised to 5 stars upon completion of re-hydroseeding whether the grass sprouts or survives!
