Great kids dentist! So very friendly and my son looks forward to going! What's cute are the small dentist chairs made especially for kids. The waiting room is large and filled with all kinds of magazines and a play set on 1 side of the room for kids to play with. While your child gets examined he puts on these cool sunglasses on the kids so the bright light doesn't bother them, plus he has Gameboys for them to play with while getting their teeth cleaned. At the end of the exam, they will bring the parent in to get their child and then make an appt for next time, there is a "prize" poster and your child gets to pick from about 8 small prizes. From a 3-year old's perspective of going to the dentist for the very first time, visiting w/ Dr. Law and staff was like having a play day. My 8-year old was able to recieve his check-up and cleaning @ the same time, too. The staff made my kids feel welcomed, showed them where the toys were and guided them to the designated areas so that they could recieve care. From what I can remember, the examination/cleaning area was set-up community style which made my kids and I feel comfortable. Staff impressed me w/ HOW they COMMUNICATED to get my kids to COOPERATE with them. Dr. Law did pretty well too. I did not know that our baby teeth are counted by letters while permanent teeth, adult teeth are counted by numbers. When Dr. Law counted my toddler's teeth, he sang the alphabet song = ) This was cool because she stayed stil. Although I think she thought his voice was kind of funny (hehe), she enjoyed the interaction. At the end of my kids' sessions they were rewarded w/ good patient 'diplomas', new toothbrushes, toothpastes, stickers and prizes to take home. I felt pleased with the service because not only did my kids leave with their hands full, but they were in happy spirits, too. I highly recommend this office if they accept your insurance. read more

I have been coming for as long as I can remember. I am surprised I haven't gotten kicked out because of age. My parents set me up here when Dr. Law's uncle was working here still. I have had great experience with both. I highly recommend children come here for their dentistry needs. The toys were always awesome, and the waiting room is filled with a play set as well as Highlights magazines. The staff are friendly and very gentle - what you look for in a children's dentistry staff. So one of my kids decided to try out one of those baby buggies and fell down some concrete stairs outside and busted up her top front teeth. Went to the ER, got it examined, and the doctor said we should see a pediatric dentist just to make sure nothing is hurt. So we went to one dentist and our girl just kept crying and crying. She wouldn't let this dentist see her and the dentist told us that she probably in a lot of pain. Huh? I was surprised she said that since our girl was never crying since the incident and I think she was just uncomfortable with that dentist. So we went back to look for a dentist and saw Dr. Law was the only one who had openings. So we took a chance. First thing off the bat with Dr. Law we noticed was his office was made for kids. That was a big plus. While waiting, our girl got comfortable with the surroundings which made her relax. Then when she went in for examination, the doctor gave her some toys and things to get her mind off the visit. She didn't cry at all and made it easy for the doctor to examine her. Luckily our girl is fine and no serious damage done with the fall. I will definitely see Dr. Law when our kids need a dental appt. and will recommend him to other parents as well. read more

I had been looking for a more "kid-friendly" pediatric dentist than the one I had been taking my son to, in addition to something a little closer to home. Upon yelping, I discovered that practically nobody actually yelps dentists, and so I went with the one who yielded the most positive reviews and was within proximity of my house. I couldn't have been more pleased. I brought my 4 year old daughter here for her first dentist appointment. We were immediately greeted (by name) by both the receptionist and the dentist himself- how proper. The waiting room is large and bright, with plenty of toys and a writing station for kids to keep themselves occupied. My daughter happily colored as I filled out the new patient forms. We waited not even five minutes after I had handed over the forms before the dental hygienist called for us. She was super friendly, introduced herself to both my daughter and I, and invited my daughter to pick out a toy or a book, should she need it in the "operating" chair. She asked my daughter a lot of questions about herself, which was nice, especially considering my daughter likes to talk a lot. She gave my daughter a pair of hot pink sunglasses to shade her eyes from the dental light as she examined her teeth- a very cute perk in my eyes. The hygienist explained everything she was doing as she cleaned my daughter's teeth, which I appreciated. After she had finished the cleaning, I got to speak with Dr. Jacklyn (sp?) who addressed any concerns I had. At one point, Dr. Law also came by to introduce himself and ask a few questions about my daughter. At the end of the visit, we were directed to the front, where my daughter was allowed to pick out a prize from the prize board. She also came back armed with a bag full of toothpaste, floss, a new (princess) toothbrush, and a sticker. I will definitely be bringing my daughter (and my son) here again, and would recommend this dental practice to anyone who is searching for a welcoming, kid-friendly environment. read more

High on customer service and courtesy. Low on dentistry. Missed cavities in my daugther's teeth. She turned 18 and saw another dentist who showed us cavities that had been there for more than 6 months (the time we saw Dr.Law last). We feel his uncle was a better dentist who focused more on dentistry on so much on giggling or saying sweet things. We have also stopped taking our son there. Not worth the risk. read more

I love Dr. Law & his dental assistants but after having gone here for the last 15 years I have to say that I am now looking elsewhere. They've always been accommodating in seeing all my kids in a single appointment, however just recently I had to cancel not realizing at the time I made the appointment that one of my kids will be away at science camp(keep in mind I cancelled within the 48 hour time frame they require) and was told I have to split them up if I cancel because they block out an hour and half which is half their morning. I am extremely disappointed. Being a client for 15 years and also recommending friends & family it really makes me sad. read more

While Dr. Law is a fine doctor and also their office is friendly with toys and all. However, when it comes to payments, you have to deal with the front staff (reception) and there starts the trouble. They will charge you, but then will still send you the bill for something that was charged already. And now its your responsibility to provide the proof of a receipt (better save any receipts you get from their office). And if you donot provide this proof, get ready for a call from collection agency. read more

My munchkin and I love Dr. :aw and his retro office too - I think its still decorated from the 70's but I like that bit of nostalgia. Walk in and my daughter is drawn to the train table and immediately begins to play. I am surprised by comments about rude staff because they have always been super friendly. Of course, I don't like that they have to charge insurance and won't check beforehand but a lot of offices are like that so I don't hold it against them. What I really like is how sweet and silly the staff including Dr Law is. My girl just loves them, She won't let me sing Twinkle Little star or sing the ABCs when I brush her teeth because that is reserved just for them. Our first experience was with a dentist who was not patient and the office served kids and adults - it was a hot mess. She was upset, crying and they basically forced the exam. Dr Law and his staff are proactive in making sure your child is comfortable. I am really happy with them and we go even though it is out of network for me. After that first disaster, I am willing pay the 20% fees to make sure she has a good experience (for now anyway). read more

My daughter did much better than expected for her first dental visit by the way the staff saw to her needs as a toddler with a short attention span that would prefer not to sit still. He sings the ABC's when checking your child's teeth. Seriously, he sings. My kid feels completely at ease here. The front desk staff, assistants, are all very friendly to deal with. The examination area is big and open with four chairs, and kid appropriate decorations everywhere. Throughout the cleaning the ppl are gental, give small stickers along the way to keep them happy, and genuinely feel like it's geared toward kids. My daughter loves to go to the dentist! She started here when she was about 3.5, and still remembers that visit... the fun stuffed animals, the flavored rinse, the sunglasses. The staff is all so sweet with her, and they don't kick us out afterwards when my kid wants to continue to play and color. I wish I was a kid, so I could come here! My daughter who has been a patient of Dr Law for a long time- approx 15 years. She is over 18 now so moving on to another dentist. Infact she started seeing dr. law's uncle when he was a dentist there and then handed the dentistry to Lr. Jason Law. We have always been happy with the services up unitl her last appointment in November. When I got bill in January and called the office and it seems like the wrong insurance was billed. Their office staff was extreemly rude and unhelpful to help me correct the situation.l I then asked them to have Dr. Law call me which they told me that he wouldn't. I called agin and left a mesage for Dr. Law to call me and never heard from him. After having my daughter be a patient for over 15 years I would have thought that the doctor would have courtsey to call me. His office is extremely rude the past few months and the doctor has decided not to call. If you are reading this dr. Law a courtsey phone call would be really appreciated. read more

What a nightmare! I know there were some office staffing changes...apparently not for the better. So out of the blue, I receive a collection letter from Transworld, no joke. I never received a bill prior nor did I even get a phone call saying there was something due. Just sent straight to a collection agency which personally effects my credit score. I had an EXCELLENT score as I've always paid my bills on time. I was surprised to see the other negative review due to billing, but not anymore. If the charge is due of course I'll pay it, but I should have at least been given advance notice. My kids did like the dentist, but its not worth their current unethical billing practices! As a job, I manage collections, among other things, and always the customer is given advance notice as it can be a simple billing/mailing/etc error. Terrible way to run a business! read more

I used Dr. Jason Law for my kid's routine dental check up because he had received great ratings from Yelp reviews. I made the appointment and was there with my kid prior to his appointment time. They had us wait for nearly 30 minutes before he was seen by his assistant. Neither the receptionist nor the assistant apologies for making us wait so long. They didn't give me any reason why we had to wait so long to see the dentist. It's good thing they had some toy trains and a train table at the reception area for my kid to play. Otherwise it would have been a very long wait for my kid. The assistant did most of the work, i.e., take x-rays, check his teeth for any cavities, and very quick cleaning. Dr. Law reviewed the x-rays, did quick check of my kid's teeth, and confirmed what the assistant had found. Dr. Law did take the time and explained what he had found. After the check up was over, the receptionist told me that they will bill my insurance and whatever that is not paid by the insurance will be billed to me. Since my kid's previous dentist and my dentist didn't bill us anything for routine check ups, I didn't expect a bill from them. I was surprised when I did receive a bill from them. I had called the receptionist and asked about the bill. Basically, she told me that since they do not know what the insurance will pay ahead of time, anything that is not paid by the insurance is my responsibility. It is surprising to hear she can not find out from the insurance company prior to the work being done, how much will be covered and how much I will be responsible for. Also, the receptionist didn't tell me what the bill was when we left. It's good thing that Dr. Law's routine check up wasn't $500. Otherwise, I would had a huge dental bill I would had to pay out of pocket without a recourse. Overall, Dr. Law and his assistant's findings were consistent with what my kid's previous doctor had told me. So, I did not have a problem with them. But Dr. Law's front office needs much improvement in dealing with customers and letting them know ahead of time how much a procedure will cost and what the insurance normally covers. read more

The dentist has always been GREAT, but the front desk staff have always been very unhelpful, cold, rude, ignorant and lazy! I've had very unpleasant experience dealing with front desk staff a few times. They messed up appointments and invoices quite a few times, couldn't explain a thing, and turned around and blamed and argued with me. Very, very poor quality customer service. It's very sad how such poor quality administrative staff ruin a great dentist's business. read more

My son had an appointment, they did accommodate him. He went in to get a cavity fixed. They fixed it and sent him on his way. He went back to school and awhile later the school called me saying he was hurting, is is almost 8. So I called and had to leave a message. Dr Law called back and told me that he noticed some possible nerve damage and he should take a prescription. He was to call in the prescription to my provider so I could pick it up. He called in the prescription. Well my provider called in and had to leave a message. All of this during posted business hours. I do not know anything so I go to pick it up and there no record of a prescription. At this time it is 4:30pm. So I had to call Dr Law and got a message they were on the other line or with a patient. I called back about 5'times only to get a message. I had to leave pharmacy as I'm a single Father. Finally at about 5:30 Dr Law calls and said someone had to leave early, nobody to help etc.. I'm sorry but I'm the dental field that is not an excuse to use. Had to go through medical provider to get the prescription. The prescription should have been prescribed in the first place instead of taking me to call back and there should be someone there in the event of an emergency. Dissatisfied customer. read more

My kids have been going to this office since 1996. We started with Dr. Samuel Law. My older son, 23, still prefers Dr. Jason Law to choosing an adult dentist and my 9 year old loves going there. We live over 60 miles away now but want to stay with Dr. Law. He is an awesome dentist and his dental assistants are top noch. The front end staff has changed and with that a different approach to insurance/billing that is not always the easiest to deal with but I'm sure the insurance industry has made that just as hard for them as well.
