I went in only to get my cataracts checked. They made me go thru an eye exam I didn't need. They did not want to address the cataracts but give me glasses. After I explained/argued that I am blinded by the sun and lights in the evening. He agreed to cataract surgery. It's been a little over a month and nothing has been scheduled. I went to another doctor, cataracts were measured and surgery scheduled by the end of the day. In looking back at my experience, I paid $50 for tests that are of no use to me. Medicare will be billed and they get their money and I get nothing. read more

After they 3 cancelled appointments over since 2019 I finally get one they did not cancel. Spent over 2 hrs waiting to be seen without any communications from the receptionist when I will be seen-tried making the best of it but it wears one down- you get what you pay for and in this case I got 3rd world treatment. Most people that were waiting were pissed as well - one gal waited for over 2.5 hours. They failed to tell me of the extra time I booked to see the optical department and charged me $25 to fill out a DMV form which I thought was out of line greed. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of this business that has turned unprofessional with not paying attention in overbooking and cancelling at the last minute. I used to like going to Jason but I told him "your as only as good as your worst player" ....never again. read more

If you enjoy being treated with total disrespect, this is the place for you! The first time I went, I had a small growth on my lower eye lid. They fit me in right away, which I appreciated. I got there at 7 a.m. and it was freezing outside but there were no empty chairs and I was instructed to wait in my car until they called. I assumed that was due to my getting squeezed in and did not complain. It took an hour for them to finally see me. Dr. Bacharach gave me a complete eye exam, which I chalked up being a new patient. When I came back to have the little growth removed, I waited for about a half an hour. Then, they gave me a second eye exam. It had only been a couple of months at most, so I was surprised. I figured perhaps this allows them to charge more. The doctor did not seem to remember me or know why I was there but he took care of the little growth. It's been a long time since I had an eye exam, so a few months later, I drove there to make an appointment in person. They scheduled me three months out. Again, I figured OK, popular practice. I can squint for three months, no problemo. So today, a week before my appointment, they call me and leave a message to cancel. No reason given. I leave a message stating that I am not pleased (a polite message-no swearing). We play phone tag and I get them back. I ask why I'm being rescheduled. Oh, she doesn't know, maybe he had a meeting to go to. They want to reschedule me FOR JULY. It is now MID FEBRUARY. That would be NINE MONTHS after I initially made the appointment. I am in the process of looking for a new eye doctor. I am actually REPOSTING this review because it mysteriously disappeared after I posted it a month ago. read more

I waited 3 months to get a new patient appointment, then waited in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours before leaving. I was told this was standard practice. Other people in the waiting room said that they wait sometimes for 2 hours, and many of them were elderly frail people! This review is about the business, not the doctor. read more

My appointment was at 8:30 and within 15 minutes I was meeting with a member of Dr. Bacharach's staff who did a preliminary check-up on my eyes. After this, I met with Dr. Bacharach whose "bedside manner" is always warm, cordial and professional. All of the staff members act in precisely the same way. I came to the doctor on an emergency referral from my optometrist. I had scratched my cornea and needed a specialist to check it. Dr Bacharach was efficient, professional, calmed my concerns and gave me treatment the began to help immediately. What I would also say is his office was wonderful. Every person from front desk to records to intake were super friendly and efficient. They have bad reviews in Yelp which kept me away from coming to them when I moved to the area.
