She only hires qualified friendly techs to work on you which is a plus. My favorite techs are Mel and Chantel they are gentle and understanding, they take their time during your appointments. They want you comfortable as possible when you leave out of their chairs. As far as prices for services are very affordable and fair. Your pricing is discussed in your first consultation with her lovely manager Ty so there is no sticker shock. I 300 percent enjoy this office and will continue to come here for all my dental needs.

I love the fact that they take us all back as a family together. Princess was very good with my kiddos. They had a very good experience with the X-rays and the teeth cleaning. Everyone was cool and didn't have any complaints. Dr. Michael is amazing with the kiddos. We love the fact that he is so gentle and patient with them. Wyatt was nervous but he made him comfortable enough to open is mouth and let him check him out. Kenn got his teeth cleaned and Wasvery nice and pleasant. Rebecca did my cleaning and usually I dread the polishing and initial cleaning because it seems so painful. This time was good it did not bother me at all. I have a hole in my back wisdom tooth that's hurting right now so I'll be back to get it pulled. I had a tooth that broke, one cracked and the other chipped off... So long story short the teeth were very sensitive to me brushing, eating and drinking. Being new to the area, I spent a lot of time researching practices that met my needs and budget. More importantly somewhere with a kind and transparent staff. Tiger Smile checked all the boxes. I told them about my anxiety and they were very accommodating. They're handling COVID-19 very well and have an effective system in place so there's no interaction with other patients. Everyone on staff- receptionists, hygienists, assistants, dentist- make you feel welcomed and comfortable. They made sure I understood my procedure and paperwork, and of course answered any questions I had. I'm not sure if this is helpful for anyone, but they do seem to have an all female staff (besides the other dentist, who I have never seen). Personally, although I'm not sure why, this helped me feel even more comfortable. Lastly, they offer an annual membership package that helps with the cost. In my research, I noticed at least half of the places I looked didn't have anything like this or even some sort of new patient discount. Tiger Smile isn't the only great option in Baton Rouge area, but it's top tier. And it was the best option for me, so I'm thankful! And my teeth and gums feel great!

Dr. Lamendola and his staff of hygienists and office crew are bar none the best in Ascension! I started out seeing Dr. Whiteside and when she switched practices, I began seeing Dr. Bourgeois. I have some of the worst anxiety about going to the dentist and this place goes out of their way to ensure their patients are comfortable. The environment itself is cool, clean, and calming (nice soothing music playing). You can get a weighted blanket, ear plugs with music playing, and there are TVs in each room to hold your attention elsewhere. Years ago, I remember even being offered paraffin wax treatments for my hands during my appointment! While they haven't offered me that in years, it was amazing and also did a good job of distracting me! I refuse to go elsewhere! The receptionist asked that I be there by 2:30 to "fill out paperwork." At 2:32 when I arrived there was no other patient in the waiting room. I filled out one form and provided my insurance cards. I was then told that the hygienist had "taken another patient" and I would not be finished in time to make my appointment. I was told that I should reschedule. I asked to speak to the dentist and then I was told that the dentist would do my cleaning and I would be done in time. After being taken back by a dental assistant and x-rayed, I was then informed that the hygienist would see me after all. An older and very heavy set woman introduced herself as the hygienist. I asked her why she was 40 minutes late for my appointment and she rudely shrugged her shoulders and said "I decided to take another patient first." She smelled bad and was not at all gentle in cleaning my teeth. She then squirted water all over my face and tried to downplay her obvious incompetence and rudeness. There is no chance whatsoever I will ever let that unprofessional, rude woman near my mouth again. On the other hand Dr. Mayer seemed very nice and competent. The young dental assistant was also nice and seemed very good at her job. Perhaps Dr. Mayer should look into hiring a new hygienist because the one he has is horrible at her job and very rude and nasty too.
