Panache is run by proprietor Susan Anthony who has trained with top hair stylists in New York City…read moreand Scottsdale, Arizona. I found Panache after trying several salons in northern Michigan. After my first cut and color with Susan, I knew I could quit looking for a stylist. I'd found mine. I recently moved to Kansas City, and have found that finding a new stylist has been the hardest part of the move. Based on a referral, I started out going to one of the best salons in southern Kansas City. I've been nothing but disappointed, here and at several other salons. I wasn't too surprised to have to pay more in the "city", but I'm really surprised that even when I paid 2x for my color, and 50% more for the style, I was getting styles and color that didn't even come close in quality to what I got at Panache. I guess I have difficult hair, with swirls and cow licks in difficult places, and very thick hair. Not to mention the fact that I insist on having a wash and wear style that doesn't require anything more than blow drying with a round brush. Susan was always great to listen to my needs and give me a style that looked great and met my requirements. Every time I go back to Michigan, I call Susan and ask her to do a "hair intervention" to fix the bad cuts I've been getting in Kansas City. I'm moving on to stylist #5 in KC, but I always know that Susan will be there for me when I go back in a few months. I've always felt it wasn't worth it to cut corners with what I spend on my hair. When my hair looks good, I feel good about myself, and project a lot more confidence. That's so important in this job market. My experience in Kansas City has really driven that point home. In the end, I spend more on my hair trying to get a bad cut or bad color fixed than if I spent a little bit more in the first place. When I was in Michigan I always felt that Panache was a good value, a good investment in me. After my experiences here in KC, I am even more certain that Panache is an excellent value, delivering great styles and color at a reasonable price.

She wanted her hair cut below the shoulders and now in my daughters words she says she looks like lord folklore!!!! That sad when a 15 year old has to try to make the best of her messed up hair done by William ball. She left his salon crying and my wife left pissed off. I honestly believe you could get a better job done at Walmart. William ball is used to doing trailer trash hair that just got their income tax or Biden stimulus checks and is looking for a place to go because they are ghetto rich and he takes advantage of them. William Ball is a HAIR HACKER NOT A HAIR STYLIST!!!!!

UPDATE: Okay I spoke to the owner Brandy today 2/1/25, and she actually never received my emails or…read moretext but she immediately rectified the situation. In my first review I raved about this salon because of the quality of our cuts and then we had a not so good experience but knowing the owner cares and guarantees to prevent this from happening to anyone else and apologized and gave us our money back and offered to fix it means that she does truly care about her clients. We will give this place another try and keep everyone updated. Brandy thank you for calling me. Originally I recommended this business but unfortunately after our last experience I will no longer recommend this business. My daughter 12 yrs old and her daddy went and had her cut there and my daughter came home crying because the woman who cut her hair absolutely butchered her hair. It was awful. I immediately reached out to the owner and said hey my daughter's hair looks terrible can we work to fix this, the owner never responded. I emailed and texted her. I know people will say your daughter should have said something while there well she is 12 and she didn't want to hurt the ladies feelings and didn't want her to get mad. I've reached out to the owner multiple times with no response. I ended up taking my daughter literally the next day to a different shop and we all stood in shock at the butchered cut The mane brand hair did on my daughter's hair. To this day the owner has yet to respond or acknowledge me. Do not get your haircut here!
