He is patient and will always listen to the problems I'm describing and work to find the best match for my vision needs. The office is clean and well-run. They have a great selection of frames and sunglasses, and they will let you try on all of them until you find one you love. Dr. Warshay always works with you to find rebates for your contacts, and will ship them to your house or let you pick them up. I've never waited more than 10 minutes to see Dr. Warshay. He is friendly and always asks remembers personal details that make him so much more approachable. He works hard to make sure you're seeing the best that you can, whether that means 5 minutes or 50 minutes in the chair saying "No, 3 is definitely clearer." I have always felt confident in Dr. Warshay's advice. I completely recommend him as an optometrist. He is honest and good at what he does. Your eyes are in good hands!

I have been going to Doctors Jeffrey Warshay Office for 3 years and sadly my last experience there…read morewith the personal was horrible. I had order my contacts lenses once before with Doctor Warshay and they ordered me the right size lenses and I was satisfy, but I came back next year (2013) and I decided to order from them from Doctor's Warshay again but, this time when I found out they order me the wrong size contact lenses which I can not wear them at all because, they are bigger and when I blink they bother me or they come out of my eyes. I called the office and spoke to the office Manager and I explained to her my concern. She told me they couldn't do anything about it because, I opened the box of the wrong size lenses they ordered me. I fallowed by asking her who I can talk to about this matter other then her, because, she was not helping me at all and I need new contacts and it's Christmas season I don't have the money to buy more at the moment. She expressed to me by saying "that's not her problem" I then, said to her so, can you tell me who fault is it and she said "Nobody" when I know if I had order them myself I should had placed the right size order and if I see that they don't carry my size I would had not placed the order. Then, I kept asking her to let me talk to the Dr. Warshay myself and she said "we already talk to him about this matter there's NOTHING he can do for you". All I wanted was an explanation why I got the wrong size lenses which I payed already and they couldn't fix their own mistake. I am not the kind of person who complains at all but, in this case I felt ignored and disrespected when I expressed my concern. Now, when I told the office manager that I was going to write a review and a letter her response to me was the words "OKAY" as simple as that and then she hanged up the phone. Doctor Jeffrey Warshay and his office manager didn't have any concern about my situation. Now, what I suppose to do? I have no money to buy new contact lenses and most important I didn't get the costumer service that I was expecting from Doctor Warshay's office. I'ts really sad to come along with people like these who, only take your money but, they have no concern about your well being. I learned about this experienced and this feeling of hopelessness that I should remember this feeling very clear so, I don't do it to anyone of my costumers. I'ts sad to get screwed over like this from somebody you expect a lot of more from his part.

However, convenience wouldn't matter if the service wasn't good. Dr. Schlussel and his staff provide excellent service from the time patients walk in the door until they leave. The tests administered are explained thoroughly, the services and corrective lenses recommended are top notch, and the prices are quite reasonable, especially with my employer's vision coverage. He takes his time to explain and LISTENS to your questions and even complaints (like I had) He has a love for Pokémon so that was also a plus. Ok here's the negative: the staff. Why is it always the staff?! Don't they know the front office is representative of the doctor? Most people have to deal with them more than the doctor. They made 3 mistakes and truly pissed me off. One, they quoted me $100 for my contacts but they were actually free because of my insurance. Two, they never called me when my contacts came in. So when I finally called to get an update they said they did call me but I quickly said I never got a call nor a voicemail. She never ever uttered an apology. An apology would have diffused my irritation. Three, I specially asked what time they closed and she said 6pm. I arrived there a little before 5:30pm (they are a 30 minute walk from my house) and they were completely closed for the day. I called the next day, and told the same girl what happened and yet no apology yet again! The customer service is truly horrible but the doctor really makes up for it. There were only 2 girls working there the last time I was there so I'm not sure who I spoke with but these girls really need some manners.

I went here for my first eye exam after having blurry eyes when I started reading. He not only gave me an exam making it worse, he prescribed a glass so strong, I got headaches. I never even ended up using them. His wife works with him and she's just as crazy as he is. They try to push you toward getting frames that are more expensive too. I was so unhappy with the whole experience, I went to another doctor and was told the glasses I had were too strong and wrong for the condition I had. I'm so grateful I went somewhere else after this experience instead of sticking with what he said. Dr. Palance could have done some serious damage to those that believed what he said so my two cents: go somewhere else, those eyes are yours for life-and sometimes you won't see the mistake you made until problems start down the road.

I liked Dr. Galst as a person but when I filled his prescription for a new pair of glasses, I…read morecouldn't see as well as I'd hoped. I immediately called his office to tell him something wasn't right, but nobody returned my calls. I called repeatedly before I *finally* reached someone. They told me to come back in. Upon doing so, Dr. Galst found an astigmatism he had missed a few weeks before, and he gave me a new prescription. So far, so good. Then I went to the front desk to check out, and they wanted to bill me, even though I had already paid at the first appointment. They argued that this second appointment was a new examination. I contended that it was a follow-up to fix an error that had been made the first time and that I should not be charged, since it was not MY error. They argued that I could've developed the astigmatism in the short period between the two appointments, but said they would see what they could do. Shortly after, I received a bill in the mail--so much for seeing what they could do--and when I called to contest it, they again argued that the second appointment was a new examination. What a crock! When I took the new prescription to the glasses place and told them the story, they were as aghast as I. They said that patients regularly need new prescriptions tweaked and that they have NEVER heard of an eye doctor charging for such an appointment. Lucky me--I'm the first. I will not be returning to Dr. Galst. Everyone sometimes misses things; that I can live with. I can also live with the inconvenience of having to go in for two appointments and with the pain of having to have my brand new glasses sent out to be corrected to match the new prescription. (Thank goodness the glasses place did NOT charge for that!) But to have to pay for two separate appointments, when the second one was to correct something that was missed at the first? C'mon. That's unfair. The cherry on the sundae? I dug up a prescription from an eye doctor from the year before and she had noted the astigmatism. So, as I suspected, it was there all along.

Admittedly, Dr. Galst was able to see me for an emergency on a last minute basis, but when I called…read moreto schedule the visit and was told to come at 2:15, then one would assume that the appointment is at 2:15. Not so. After having read other reviews about how long of a wait it is, I specifically asked when I showed up for my visit if the doctor was running on time. I was told that he was. A flat out lie. Completely. Another issue this doctor should be made aware of is his staff. When I arrived, one of the girls at the front desk was on a personal phone call, and after just standing in front of her for about a minute, was told by someone else to fill out paperwork, all the time being ignored by the girl on her phone. In summary, plan on being here an hour or more. And forget about the appointment time. It means nothing to the staff working there anyway.

The employees are so friendly & helpful, & I did not find myself being pushed to spend more or buy more. I was buying these without any insurance coverage, since I my insurance only allows either glasses or contacts within one cycle. So, exam was $65 with the purchase of a year's supply of lenses. They have some 1 year for $29 deal, but I have astigmatism in one eye, so I never qualify for such bargains. The woman in charge was apologetic about that & when I expressed that I didn't have a lot to spend, she dropped the required year for me & said 6 months would be fine. I was still concerned about the costs, & the optometrist who examined me noticed this, so he gave me a full exam & then sat down with me & the manager to go through exactly what it would cost. With my expensive, gimpy eye, the price was still a little steep for me, & she ended up dropping another $100 or so. What has often been quoted to me for around $500+ was about $250 in total. The price was obviously a huge plus for me, but even if she could not have gone lower, I would have liked this place enough for 4 stars. The staff was so friendly & made me feel so comfortable with asking questions & taking my time. I've had such pushy, rude experiences at other lens stores, & this was the complete opposite.
