Dr Kabans clinic got me an appt so fast and made sure to confirm that I was not in pain. I have major medical anxiety and PTSD due to some pretty terrible care. Everyone was extremely patient with me about that. They were kind and encouraging. I appreciated the little touches like the rescue kitten cam videos, the emotional support cuddle bear, the full body bib, the warm washcloth for after and much more. Jessica was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She looked up my insurance stuff and got everything together really fast. I was shocked how quick she got it all done! AJ is a great assistant and even thought I was explaining to him that I am a hot mess and super freaky about medical providers he assured me that he didn't think I was weird and he would take good care of me. Dr Kaban was so patient and explained everything that he was doing and made sure to answer my questions. While I don't want another root canal, I would definitely come back here if I need one. I do have a hot nerve and I was bleeding quite a bit. I felt every time he hit a nerve because I jerked. Dr. Kaban stopped immediately and numbed me up to make sure I didn't feel anything. We did not finish and I will be back to finish but I appreciate that he was very straight forward about everything and was on top of care and comfortability. This review I thought I'd focus on Dr Bosler's hygienist, Molly. Molly is extremely knowledgeable. I'm a nurse myself and am so impressed with her care of the whole person. She is so thorough she has been able to assess a few dental problems and address them early saving me from a much worse problem and expense down the line. A few years ago Molly noticed a "shadow" on my inner cheek that warranted a visit to my primary care doc. As it turned out there was no cancer and I did not require further work up. I've been blessed to be able afford dental checkups my entire life. However, having a team of professionals who have helped me avoid serious dental issues and expenses really has helped! I genuinely like the dentists, Jennifer is an outstanding hygienist, and Jessica and Mia in the front office have always been wonderful to work with. Unfortunately, since the transition to Vacaville Dental Group, management has changed several times, and the overall patient experience has declined significantly. The biggest issue is appointment scheduling and wait times. For decades, I rarely waited more than a few minutes for an appointment. Now, it seems routine to wait 30 minutes, typically longer. Today was the final straw. My 6 year old daughter had a cleaning scheduled for 9:30 AM, and I had a cleaning scheduled for 10:00 AM. After waiting about 10 minutes, I let Mia know that I had an 11:30 meeting and needed to stay on schedule. She assured me we would be out on time. By 9:55 AM, neither my daughter nor I had been called back. While sitting in the waiting room, I received a text notification stating that my daughter's appointment had been moved to 10:30 AM. At that point, we had already been waiting for over 30 minutes. When I questioned the delay, the new front office manager argued with me and insisted my daughter's appointment had always been scheduled for 10:00 AM, not 9:30 AM. I had text message confirmation showing the original 9:30 appointment time. Rather than acknowledging the scheduling change, she dismissed my concerns and made it seem as though I was mistaken. The interaction felt dishonest, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating. After 27 years as patients, my husband, my children, my mother, and I have decided to take our business elsewhere. It's disappointing because most of the clinical staff remains excellent, but poor management and a lack of accountability have completely changed the experience. I truly hope Vacaville Dental Group improves its management practices because the dental team deserves better support than what patients are currently experiencing. We tried to come back…read moreseveral times to have it fixed and ended up on very strong antibiotics with an abscess and infection in his jaw. The tooth had to be removed by an oral surgeon and put on another antibiotic. When I contacted Jason regarding this issue I was told that because the roots were removed there should be no pain and that the root canal was "very well done". Well, let me assure you that an abscess and bone infection do in fact cause pain. It also cost the dentist office to lose my entire family (of 6) as cash paying customers because we will never step foot into this office again. I hope the $3000+ was worth it.
