My mom had used Gary several years ago and was happy with him. So when we were in desperate need to…read morehave landscaping & mowing done, we gave him a call. That was the only time he called back that same day. He came over on time, I thought this is great, and we asked for a estimate of the yard work plus we have a huge tree that has finally died and needs to be removed. Gave us an "around X amount of $" quote for yard work & said he'd get back to us with estimates for both (yard & tree). Never happened. That was a Thursday, said he'd get back to us Saturday with quotes & schedule, never happened. I finally called him Monday afternoon, gave excuse that he's down 2 workers, etc. Set a date for yard work & promised a written estimate for tree removal. Never happened. He kept rescheduling after I would call to find out if they're still coming or not and that's when I found out that mowing was extra (never said it was extra when he gave us the "around X amount of $). BUT if we paid him an extra $100 for mowing, he could come that Friday otherwise we'd have to wait another week. We decided to wait & got a family member to mow for us. The Sunday night before he was scheduled to come the next day, he called at 8pm to reschedule (he was down 2 workers again) and woul come in Tuesday. Asked again for tree removal estimate, said he'd get back to us. Never did. Finally they showed up on Tuesday actually on time which surprised us since he's really proven how unreliable he is (Gary & 3 crew members). Of course, he didn't tell them exactly what needed to be done so they didn't have the tall/extension ladder and the trimmer with extension wand. Then as we all walked around, he forgot about some things while telling them to pull out plants, etc that we still wanted. Asked again for tree removal quote, said he'd get it to me by the end of the day. Never happened. Gary left right away and the crew went to work. The crew did a fantastic job (no thanks to Gary). We would hire this crew again but we'd have to deal with Gary and he's just proven to be unreliable over & over again. Oh and he did call that day in the afternoon to give me instructions on how he wanted the check. I said "You never gave us a definitive price,just an around figure" and he said "oh that is the price " like I should've known immediately. ARGH! Totally aggravating! And when the crew came back later in the afternoon to finish cleaning up & tree trimming,they still didn't have the correct ladder and extension wand so not everything was trimmed as much as we expected and hoped for. I do understand that we've had an incredibly hot summer (June 2024) with freaky amount of storms so dates need to be flexible BUT when he's not calling to confirm and leaving it up to us to find out when he's going to show only to find out he's cancelling yet again, that's not good business practice. So I don't recommend Gary but I do recommend his team!

Since they were available when we needed them and they were very accommodating on phone we decided to give them a shot and cross fingers. This was a major and risky 3 large tree removal job tight between two houses. They took amazing care of the properties and brought in significant equipment to make the job as easy as possible, for a not-easy job! They not only performed skillful and flawlessly, but they went as far as preserving very close ornamental trees! It top it off, they not only cleaned up all of the mess from both properties, including decks, etc. but they also blew all of the leaves from each yard and took it all away!! I must say they are experts at what they do, their skills were amazing, a show for anyone watching! Maybe next time we sell tickets to watch their amazing show!! Lol Thank you guys!
